Bimetalle, Photozellen, Ionisationsstrecken usw. verwendet.
Flame monitoring devices, in particular for luminous flames

In the case of small systems, the ignition is switched on immediately and during a certain

the incinerator is switched to the fault position. For medium-sized and larger systems
is the immediate initiation of an attempt to ignite, because of the fact that the combustion chamber is hot

therefore only takes place after a period of rest during which the combustion chamber is through
natural chimney draft or by forced ventilation. To the
Control of such systems is therefore expediently provided with time switches,
through which the operating mode, which is particularly favorable for a particular system, can be achieved without difficulty

and reliable flame monitoring equipment is controlled. Such
Facilities have already become known in large numbers and have proven themselves well.
As sensors responding to the flame, heat-sensitive resistors,
Bimetals, photocells, ionization paths, etc. are used. For monitoring
of glowing flames, such as B. those of oil burners, monitoring devices have
which respond to the light emission of the flame, proved to be beneficial. As a feeler
Gas-filled photocells are preferably used. However, these have the
Disadvantage that they have a fragile glass bulb, which is used here in
Question coming rough operation is unsuitable, and that if not a sensitive one
and a correspondingly expensive control relay is to be used, one accordingly

must be operated. The invention relates to a flame monitoring device,
especially for luminous flames, with one made of light directly an electric one
Electricity-generating light element, in which the above-mentioned disadvantages thereby
are circumvented that a control relay regulating the fuel supply via a magnetic
Amplifier receives the commands from the light element.
The drawing shows a circuit diagram of the subject matter of the invention.
e-ingeleitet werden. können.1 means a light element, which when light hits
itself generates an electrical current, for example a junction cell.
This cell is set up near the flame to be monitored and has a
Line 2 with the control winding 3 of a self-saturating magnetic amplifier
tied together. In parallel with cell 1, a protective capacitor 4 is connected, which the
compensation voltages occurring with changes in exposure and from the load windings
makes induced residual stress harmless. With a large distance between the light element
and magnetic amplifier is in the vicinity of the light element 1, another protective capacitor
41 is provided, which on the line 2 induced interference voltages, in particular
those that arise when an ignition transformer is switched on, from the light element
1 keeps away. Appropriate dimensioning of the control winding 3 can be easily
achieve a low-resistance matching, which is a requirement for junction cells.
The load on the magnetic amplifier forms a control relay 5, which is a
in one
further not shown control circuit for the more
or less automatic operation of an incinerator arranged changeover switch
6 actuated. This control relay can be powered by the magnetic amplifier with alternating current
or fed with direct current. Because of the greater sensitivity that can be achieved
however, a polarized DC relay is preferable, and the
magnetic amplifiers should therefore be provided for direct current loads. A transformer
7, which is connected to an alternating voltage with a primary winding 8, has a
Secondary winding 9 with center tap 10. The two outer terminals of the secondary winding
are each via a load winding 11 and a dry rectifier 12 with each other
connected in switching point 13, which in turn with the interposition of the control relay
5 is connected to the center tap 10. A smoothing capacitor 14 is
the relay winding of the control relay 5 connected in parallel. It goes without saying
that on the magnetic amplifier all those known measures are used

indicated, consisting of a resistor 15, a dry rectifier 16 and
a pre-excitation winding 17 connected between the right terminal of the secondary winding
9 and point 10 is switched. By means of a feedback it is also possible to
to reinforce the steepness of the characteristic, even so far that a tilting process
occurs through which the control relay 5 faster and with a greater contact pressure
switches. In the drawing is a feedback circuit for this purpose
also indicated, consisting of a series connection of an adjustable resistor
18 and a feedback winding 19, which between the switching points 10 and 13
is switched. The conditions are now chosen so that the control relay 5 at
unilluminated barrier cell in a rest position and with illuminated barrier cell
is switched to a working position, such that the presence or absence

are necessary or prove to be appropriate for any incineration plant,
