Abstract

Die Erfindung gehoert zu Geraeten fuer die Zuechtung von Kulturen von Mikroorganismen auf der Basis fluessiger, fester oder gemischter Substrate. Der Fermenter besitzt ein Gefaess 1, das mit einem Waermeaustauschmantel 2 und einem bakteriellen Luftfilter 3 versehen ist, einen Aerator 4 mit Entnahmerohr 5 und eine Ruehreinrichtung 6, die in Form einer Membrane, die in einer Druckluftkammer 7 eingebaut ist, ausgefuehrt ist. Um die funktionalen Moeglichkeiten des Fermenters zu erweitern, ist die Druckluftkammer 7 vom Hohlraum des Gefaesses 1 durch eine Scheidewand 9 mit einer Oeffnung 10 getrennt. Dabei ist der Aerator 4 auf der Scheidewand 19 angebracht und hat eine Kammer zur Verteilung der Gas- und Fluessigkeitsstroeme 11, die Kammer 11 ist mit Ruecklaufventilen 12 und 13 und mit einem Abstandsring 14 mit Oeffnungen 15 versehen, um den zwischen den Ruecklaufventilen 12 und 13 liegenden Hohlraum mit dem ueber der Membran liegenden Hohlraum der Druckluftkammer 7 zu verbinden. In den Waenden der Kammer 11 sind Oeffnungen 16 und 17 angebracht, um den Hohlraum unter den Ventilen mit dem Hohlraum des Gefaesses 1 zu verbinden. Die Scheidewand 19 mit den Oeffnungen 20 soll das feste Substrat verteilen. Fig. 1
