Abstract
Μία διαδικασία θερμικής αφαλάτωσης που περιλαμβάνει: εισαγωγή ενός διαλύματος τροφοδοσίας μέσα σε μία μονάδα θερμικού διαχωρισμού, απόσταξη του διαλύματος τροφοδοσίας μέσα στην μονάδα θερμικού διαχωρισμού ώστε να παραχθεί ένα ρεύμα αποστάγματος και ένα ρεύμα υπολοίπων που έχει υψηλότερη συγκέντρωση διαλυμένης ουσίας από το διάλυμα τροφοδοσίας, επαφή ενός τμήματος του ρεύματος υπολοίπων από την μονάδα θερμικού διαχωρισμού με μία πλευρά μιας επιλεκτικά διαπερατής μεμβράνης, επαφή της αντίθετης πλευράς της επιλεκτικά διαπερατής μεμβράνης με ένα τμήμα του διαλύματος τροφοδοσίας, έτσι ώστε το νερό να ρεύσει διαμέσου της μεμβράνης για να αραιώσει το ρεύμα υπολοίπων με ευθεία ώσμωση, και εισαγωγή τουλάχιστον ενός τμήματος του αραιωμένου ρεύματος υπολοίπων μέσα στην μονάδα θερμικού διαχωρισμού.
