Abstract
Se describe un método para tratar el agua producida en un sistema para tratar aguas residuales. El sistema incluye una unidad de ósmosis inversa para eliminar sólidos disueltos. La unidad de ósmosis inversa produce un permeado y concentrado. Para reducir el potencial de ensuciamiento de las membranas asociadas con la unidad de ósmosis inversa y/o aumentar la vida útil de la membrana y/o aumentar la recuperación del sistema, al menos una parte del concentrado se recicla y se mezcla con la corriente de aguas residuales en un punto corriente arriba de la unidad de ósmosis inversa.
