Abstract

<p>Se proporcionan procesos y métodos para refinar aleaciones de ferroníquel y producir sulfato de níquel u otro producto de níquel, donde la aleación de ferroníquel se trata con un lixiviado oxidante. El lixiviado oxidante puede ser, por ejemplo, un lixiviado por oxidación a presión (POX) o un lixiviado con peróxido o iones de cobre (II). El tratamiento puede realizarse en presencia de cobre añadido, como proporcionando una solución de sulfato de cobre. La producción de sulfato de níquel puede comprender la eliminación de cobre y hierro después de lixiviado, la eliminación de impurezas y la cristalización del sulfato de níquel o la precipitación/obtención de otro producto de níquel.</p>
