Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con métodos de evaluación para resistencia o tolerancia al óxido (Uredinales), en particular, óxido (Uredinales) de soya asiática (ASR Phakopsora pachyrhizi). Adicionalmente, la presente invención se relaciona con el uso de marcadores moleculares para el género Glybine, en particular, para las especies Glycine max. La presente invención además se relaciona a un método para identificar loci con rasgos cuantitativos y/o cualitativos asociados con la resistencia o tolerancia al óxido (Uredinales) en plantas por medio de marcadores moleculares. Dichos marcadores pueden ser utilizados para evaluación asistida en programas de mejoramiento dirigidos a seleccionar plantas resistentes o tolerantes a la enfermedad. La presente invención también se relaciona con el esquema de pirámide de genes relacionado con la resistencia al óxido (Uredinales). Los marcadores de la presente invención también son útiles para la clonación posicional de los genes resistentes o tolerantes al óxido (Uredinales). También se revela un método para obtener cultivares resistentes o tolerantes a la enfermedad, un proceso para obtener una población de plantas y un método para controlar enfermedades en una población de plantas. Otro objeto de la presente invención es utilizar especies del género Glycine como una fuente de resistencia para obtener cultivares resistentes o tolerantes al ASR.
