Abstract

Ceniza de fondo que contiene álcali producida mediante una caldera de lecho fluidizado circulante (CFB) es reciclada a un aparato de absorción secador por pulverizado corriente abajo (SDA) para utilizar más completamente el reactivo no utilizado presente en la ceniza, y/o reducir la cantidad del reactivo utilizado aunque no incrementando la generación de NOx. Un sistema para reducir la concentración de gas ácido en un gas y/o reducir el consumo de absorbente de gas ácido aunque no incrementando la generación de NOX, que comprende: Un reactor que produce por lo menos gas que contiene al menos un compuesto ácido, y ceniza de fondo que contiene álcali, la ceniza de fondo se descarga separadamente del gas; Un absorbedor secador por pulverizado para recibir el gas; Medios para introducir la ceniza de fondo en la corriente de fondo del gas del reactor de tal forma que el álcali está disponible en el absorbedor secador por pulverizado para reaccionar con por lo menos un compuesto ácido; y Medios para introducir un agente de humidificación en el absorbedor secador por pulverizado para facilitar la reacción del álcali con por lo menos un compuesto ácido para reducir su concentración en el gas. El sistema de la reivindicación 1, en donde el gas comprende gas de chimenea de un proceso de combustión. El sistema de la reivindicación 2, en donde el proceso de combustión se conduce en una caldera de lecho fluidizada. El sistema de la reivindicación 3, en donde el proceso de combustión se conduce en una caldera de lecho fluidizado circulante.
