Abstract
1.- Un proceso para reducir la cantidad de impurezas con contenido de azufre en materiales carbonosos, que comprende (a) Contactar dichos materiales con una solución acuosa de ácido hidrofluorosilícico en la ausencia de fluoruro de hidrógeno bajo condiciones en donde por lo menos algunas de las impurezas con contenido de azufre reaccionan con dicho ácido hidrofluorosilícico para formar productos de reacción, y (b) separar dichos productos de reacción de dichos materiales carbonosos.2.- Un proceso para reducir la cantidad de impurezas con contenido de azufre en materiales carbonosos, que comprende (a) contactar dichos materiales con una solución acuosa de ácido hidrofluorosilícico en la ausencia de fluoruro de hidrógeno bajo condiciones en donde por lo menos algunas de dichas impurezas con contenido de azufre reaccionan con dicho ácido hidrofluorosilícico para formar productos de reacción; (b) separar dichos productos de reacción y dicho ácido hidrofluorosilícico de dichos materiales carbonosos y, subsiguientemente (c) tratar dichos materiales carbonosos con una solución ácida de flúor que comprende una solución acuosa de ácido hidrofluorosilícico y fluoruro de hidrógeno.1. A process to reduce the amount of sulfur-containing impurities in carbonaceous materials, which comprises (a) Contacting said materials with an aqueous solution of hydrofluorosilicic acid in the absence of hydrogen fluoride under conditions where at least some of the sulfur-containing impurities react with said hydrofluorosilicic acid to form reaction products, and (b) separating said reaction products from said carbonaceous materials.2.- A process to reduce the amount of sulfur-containing impurities in carbonaceous materials, comprising (a) contacting said materials with an aqueous solution of hydrofluorosilicic acid in the absence of hydrogen fluoride under conditions where at least some of said sulfur-containing impurities react with said hydrofluorosilicic acid to form reaction products; (b) separating said reaction products and said hydrofluorosilicic acid from said carbonaceous materials and subsequently (c) treating said carbonaceous materials with an acidic fluorine solution comprising an aqueous solution of hydrofluorosilicic acid and hydrogen fluoride.
