Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a sistemas transdérmicos no invasivos y métodos para extracción de analitos de un fluido biológico dentro o debajo de la piel, tal como fluido intersticial, y detección del analito. Más especialmente, la presente invención se refiere a sistemas transdérmicos no invasivos que comprenden un parche no invasivo y un reflectómetro. Los parches transdérmicos no invasivos están compuestos por un componente de química húmeda y un componente de química seca. El componente de química húmeda es un medio de transferencia líquida en la forma de una capa de gel para la extracción y transferencia puenteada de líquidos del analito de interés del fluido biológico dentro o debajo de la piel al componente de química seca. El componente de química seca es una membrana supersensible y acondicionada que lleva un sistema reactivo para interactuar con el analito de interés para generar una molécula indicadora, por ej: cambio de color, para confirmar la detección del analito, y métodos para el uso de lo mismo. La molécula indicadora puede ser observada visualmente por el usuario u observada por un componente de interpretación electrónica, tal como un espectrofotómetro de reflectancia para detección. Una analito de interés en particular, que puede ser detectado de manera exacta, confiable y cuantitativa de acuerdo con la presente invención es glucosa.
