Abstract

Un producto alimenticio no fermentado comprende un ítem de alimento medible húmedo y una cantidad de un microorganismo no tóxico que, en un primer estado del producto alimenticio, que el producto alimenticio no esta pasteurizado y los microorganismos no tóxicos están sustancialmente secos, en donde el producto alimenticio puede ser cambiado por pasteurización de un primer estado a un segundo estado con por lo menos una porción de los microorganismos no tóxicos remanentes sustancialmente en estado seco; y tal que si el producto alimenticio es almacenado en el segundo estado bajo condiciones refrigeradas por lo menos una porción de los microorganismos permanecerán sustancialmente secos pero si el producto alimenticio es sometido a un reto de temperatura por lo menos una porción de los microorganismos no tóxicos secos se hidrataran para volverlos efectivos para por lo menos inhibir parcialmente el crecimiento de los microorganismos tóxicos dentro del producto alimenticio.
