Abstract

Un método para localizar una unidad móvil remota que consiste delos siguientes pasos: detectar al menos una señal transmitida desde al menos una localización conocida a la unidad móvil; transmitir a una segunda localización una porción de al menos una señal transmitida detectada; detectar al menos una señal transmitida que contenga la porción transmitida en la segunda localización; determinar una diferencia de tiempo entre la porción de al menos una señal transmitida recibida en la estación móvil y la porción de al menos una señal transmitida recibida en la segunda localización; ylocalizar una posición de la unidad móvil utilizando la diferencia de tiempo y al menos una localización conocida de la señal transmitida. 1Un sistema para localizar un transceptor móvil, que comprende: un primer receptor asociado con el transceptor móvil para detectar al menos una señal de al menos una localización conocida; un segundo receptor en la segunda localización conocida para detectar al menos una señal desde al menos una localización conocida; un correlacionador para desplazamiento de tiempo de una porción de la al menos una señal desde el primer receptor hasta cuando ocurra una correlación sustancial con la al menos una señal detectada en el segundo receptor; y un procesador configurado para determinar una localización del transceptor móvil desde la al menos una localización conocida de la al menos una señal y el desplazamiento de tiempo entre la porción de al menos una señal recibida en el primer receptor y al menos una señal recibida en el segundo receptor.
