本实用新型为高对比度LED显示模块,是发光二极管显示模块1,其特征在于:在显示模块1上开有行列矩阵椭圆形孔2,即发光点是椭圆形。用此制成的发光二极管显示模块,白色发光点的面积与黑色亚光表面的面积比值也减小,对比度增大,减小了白色发光点面积的同时不仅增强了总发光亮度及水平方向视角效果,使得发光体的背景更暗,从而大大提高了显示对比度。

本实用新型涉及电光源显示模块,是指LED显示模块。
背景技术:
目前,LED(发光二极管)电子显示屏作为一种数字化,高亮度,低功耗的电子显示设备已经得到广泛的应用。目前使用的室内LED电子显示屏是由可拼接的显示单元板,配以专用显示电路,直流稳压电源,软件,框架及外装饰等组成,其中,起基本显示作用的单元板由若干显示模块组成,点阵显示模块是由LED发光点以矩阵形式排列而成的最小基本单元。传统的点阵模块一般以8×8或5×8等为主,即每块由8行8列发光点组成,其物理尺寸规格有∮5,∮3.75,∮3.0等。LED显示屏中的每一个可被单独控制的发光单元称为象素。象素直径∮,是指每一个LED发光象素点的直径,单位为毫米。例如∮5是指圆形发光点的直径为5.00mm。一般∮5点阵的点间距为7.62mm。发光点成白色半透明,除发光点以外均为黑色亚光表面(不反光)。因而在使用同等条件的半导体发光材料以及相同驱动电路下,白色发光点的面积与黑色亚光表面积之比值决定了模块表面的对比度。其比值越小对比度越高。LED显示模块是由若干晶片构成发光矩阵,安放在模块上,用环氧树脂封装于塑料壳内。适合行列扫描驱动,容易构成高密度的显示屏,多用于户内显示屏。把红色和绿色的LED晶粒封装在一起作为一个象素制作的显示屏叫双基色;把红色、绿色和兰色的LED晶粒封装在一起作为一个象素制作的显示屏叫全彩色。LED显示屏的发光强度和显示效果取决于单个显示模块的发光强度。而对于单个显示模块,其发光强度又取决于晶片的优劣和发光点的结构大小。在其他条件均等同的情况下,改变显示模块的对比度,可以改善显示效果。
以∮5点阵显示模块为例,传统的LED∮5点阵显示模块如图1所示,显示模块上开有行列矩阵圆形孔,即发光点是圆形,直径为5.00mm,点间距为7.62mm。在一定强度的环境光照射下,由于白色发光点面积太大,造成对比度相对过小,对环境光的反射亮度高,而使显示效果不够清晰。
发明内容:
本实用新型是提供一种发光二极管显示模块,它减小了白色发光点面积,在显示模块上开有行列矩阵椭圆形孔,即采用椭圆发光点,在减少白色发光点面积的同时不仅增强了总发光亮度及水平方向视角效果,使得发光体的背景更暗,从而大大提高了显示对比度。

具体实施方式:
见附图2,本实用新型是发光二极管显示模块,其特征在于:在显示模块1上开有行列矩阵椭圆形孔2即发光点是椭圆形。以∮5点阵显示模块为例,长轴是4.00mm,短轴是3.00mm,点间距仍是7.62mm。
用此制成的发光二极管显示模块,白色发光点的面积与黑色亚光表面的面积比值也减小,对比度增大。同时因发光点的形状和尺寸改变,整个显示模块套件的厚度也相应变薄,用于封装外壳的环氧树脂的消耗量也减少了,这样一来就降低了我们产品的成本。
