本实用新型是一种锌氯蓄电池,主要特点是对现 有蓄电池加以改进,在石墨电极上加工有多孔,并在 孔内放置有一定量的活性物质,与现有同类蓄电池比 较,充电电压达到2.1伏,工作电压高,达到1.6~ 1.8V,终了电压低,降到0.75V时仍可放出电能,输出 容量大,以干电池R20的尺寸可以达到2Ah等优 点。

Description

本实用新型属于基本电气元件技术领域,是一种锌氯蓄电池。
现有的锌氯蓄电池,以锌为负极,以石墨为正极,以ZnCl2溶液为电解液。在氯离子还原为氯气后,由于石墨的吸附能力较弱,还原为氯气的量少,因而存在着工作电压低,输出容量小的缺点。
本实用新型的目的在于设计一种工作电压较高,输出容量较大的锌氯蓄电池。
本实用新型所采用的技术措施是对现有的锌氯蓄电池加以改进,在石墨电极上加工成多孔,并在多孔内加入活性物质。
本实用新型锌氯蓄电池:1、由于在石墨中加入碘,充电时电解液中产生的氯气与正极内的碘生成卤素互化物ICl,和ICl3并吸附在活性碳和石墨电极孔内增加了氯气的蓄存量,蓄存时间长。2、由于ICl和ICl3的化学性质类似于卤素单质,是氧化剂,具有很强的化学活性,在放电时,在ZnCl2溶液中生成Cl,成为正极的活性物质,可使充电电压达到2.1伏,工作电压达到1.6伏以上。输出容量,以干电池R20的尺寸达到2Ah,充放电300次左右,适用-20℃-50℃温度范围。

参见附图,本实用新型锌氯蓄电池包括:铜帽1,碳棒2,塑料盖3,排气空4,密封垫5,下塑料盖6,泡沫塑料7,锌外壳8,隔膜9,垫片10,电解液11,多孔石墨电极12,装入石墨电极孔内的活性物质碘13。
使用时,在充电期,在负极,ZnCl2溶液中Zn++在负极获得电子还原为Zn原子,沉积在锌极上。在正极,溶液中的Cl吸附在石墨电极微孔内变化氯气,氯与石墨中的有碘形成卤素互化物ICl和ICl3,采用碘作为氯的载体,氯气被蓄存起来,增加了氯的蓄存量,放电期,ICl和ICl3在ZnCl2溶液中生成Cl离子,负极Zn失去电子成为Zn离子,由于增加了氯的蓄存量,从而增加了输出电压和容量。
