Extension plate for correction nail
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a correcting nail extension plate; and more particularly to an orthodontic nail extension plate for fitting to a dental appliance.
Background
With the improvement of the living standard and the advancement of medical technology, people not only need to live healthily but also become more confident, and most people think that the people have regular dential arrangement as one of the sources of the more confident. However, many people find their teeth untidy due to congenital or acquired factors. The irregular teeth not only affect the beauty of the face but also cause a lack of confidence, and further, the irregular teeth are more likely to lead to the health of the teeth and periodontal tissues. Therefore, many people straighten irregular teeth into regular rows of teeth by orthodontic techniques. In addition, the life span of teeth can be extended by orthodontic treatment.
In a typical orthodontic procedure, a practitioner will use an orthodontic pin to assist in orthodontic treatment. As shown in fig. 1, the physician can implant the orthodontic nail 5 as an anchoring source in the mouth to find a position where the best traction effect can be achieved, and simultaneously, the elastic device 2 such as a spring, an elastic chain or an elastic band applies a pulling force to pull the skewed teeth. However, during the traction process, the inclination angle and position of the teeth are continuously changed along with the treatment time, so that the doctor can not achieve the best traction effect by implanting the orthodontic nail at the beginning, and must find another position for implanting the orthodontic nail to achieve the best traction effect. The orthodontic nail implantable position is also limited due to the limited oral space, and furthermore, if the practitioner cannot find a position to achieve optimal traction, a skewed tooth may not receive effective traction.
In the prior art, an orthotic device 9 has been developed to fit over an orthotic staple (as shown in figure 2). The straightening device 9 can achieve the best traction effect of the elastic device 2 by different installation directions and angles. Since the mounting hole of the corrective device is not a through hole, and since the diameter of the conventional corrective nail is only 1.0mm to 2.3mm, when the corrective device is mounted on the corrective nail, the mounting hole of the corrective device is not easily aligned with the joint portion of the corrective nail, which makes the mounting difficult. In addition, when the angle of the correction device mounted on the correction nail cannot achieve the optimal traction effect, the correction device must be detached from the correction nail, and the correction device is adjusted to the required angle and then sleeved on the correction nail. Therefore, the correction device is not easy to install and the required steps are complicated no matter the angle is adjusted.
Therefore, there is a need for an orthodontic device that can be more easily installed and adjusted in angle to solve the above problems.

Detailed Description
In order to provide the advantages, spirit and features of the present invention, which will be more readily understood and appreciated, reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments and accompanying drawings. It is noted that these embodiments are merely exemplary embodiments of the present invention, and the particular methods, devices, conditions, materials, etc., that are illustrated are not intended to limit the present invention or the corresponding embodiments. Also, the devices shown in the drawings are merely for relative positional representation and are not drawn to scale as they are actually drawn.
Please refer to fig. 3, fig. 4, fig. 5 and fig. 6. Fig. 3 is a schematic structural view of the correction nail extension plate 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 4 is a schematic structural view of the correction pin 5 engaged with the correction pin extension plate 1 of fig. 3. Fig. 5 shows a schematic view of the profile of the seat 52 of the different corrective nails 5 ', 5 "and 5'". Fig. 6 is a schematic view showing the combination of the correction pin extension plate 1 and the correction pin 5 according to fig. 3. An orthodontic nail extension plate 1 of the present embodiment is adapted to be used with an orthodontic nail 5 for orthodontic use, wherein the orthodontic nail 5 comprises a shank 51 and a seat 52 connected to the shank 51, and the seat 52 is formed with a mushroom-shaped head 53, and the mushroom-shaped head 53 comprises a neck 531 connected to the seat 52 and a head 532 connected to the neck 531. As shown in fig. 3, the correction pin extending plate 1 may include an adjustment fixing portion 12 and a first cantilever 14. The adjusting and fixing portion 12 further includes a plane 121, an adjusting hole 122, a limiting through slot 126, a fixing hole 123 and a side fixing structure 124. Adjustment hole 122 is located on plane 121, and the diameter of adjustment hole 122 is greater than the diameter of head 532 of mushroom-shaped head 53. The limiting through groove 126 is located on the plane 121 and adjacent to and communicated with the adjusting hole 122, at least one side of the inner wall of the limiting through groove 126 extends towards the center of the limiting through groove 126 to form a limiting part 1261, and the width of the limiting through groove 126 is smaller than the diameter of the neck 531. The fixing hole 123 is located on the plane 121 and adjacent to and partially overlapped with the adjusting hole 122, and moreover, the diameter of the fixing hole 123 is between the diameter of the head 532 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 and the diameter of the neck 531. The side fixing structure 124 extends perpendicularly outward from the outer edge of the plane 121, the side fixing structure 124 forms a sleeving space 125 connected with the adjusting hole 122 and the fixing hole 123, and the width of the sleeving space 125 corresponds to the width of the nail seat 52, so that the nail seat 52 can be clamped in the side fixing structure 124. The first arm 14 is connected to the adjustment fixing portion 12, and the first arm 14 is provided with a plurality of first attaching grooves 141 for attaching at least one elastic device.
The side fixing structure 124 of the orthopedic nail extension plate 1 further includes a first sub-structure 1241 and a second sub-structure 1242 opposite to each other, and the first sub-structure 1241 and the second sub-structure 1242 form the aforementioned engaging space 125 therebetween. The opening directions of the first nesting grooves 141 provided on the first suspension arm 14 are perpendicular to the opening directions of the adjustment hole 122 and the fixing hole 123. Further, at least two of the plurality of first nesting grooves 141 are disposed at opposite positions of the first suspension arm 14, and the two rightmost first nesting grooves 141 are formed at opposite positions with respect to each other as shown in fig. 3.
In this embodiment, the seat 52 of the orthosis nail 5 further comprises a seat plane 521 connected to the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53, and the diameter of the head 532 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 is larger than the diameter of the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53. As shown in fig. 5, the shape of the nail seat 52 ', 52 "and 52'" of the correction nail 5 ', 5 "and 5'" can be selected from a quadrangle, a hexagon, an octagon or a polygon with even number, one side of the polygon and the opposite side thereof can form a distance, which is the width of the nail seat 52, and the width of the nail seat 52 is larger than the diameter of the adjustment hole 122 of the correction nail extension plate 1.
In practical applications, since the diameter of the adjustment hole 122 of the nail extension plate 1 is larger than the diameter of the head 532 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 of the nail 5, the adjustment hole 122 can be inserted into the mushroom-shaped head 53 of the nail 5 from one side of the plane 121. Further, since the width of the nail seat 52 is larger than the diameter of the adjustment hole 122, the correction nail extension plate 1 can be held on the nail seat plane 521 without sliding down to the shank 51. Thereby, the correction nail extension plate 1 can be adjusted to any angle along the direction parallel to the nail seat plane 521. Therefore, the correcting nail extension plate 1 of the utility model can be directly attached to the correcting nail 5 to adjust the angle so as to find out the best traction position.
Please refer to fig. 3, fig. 7a and fig. 7 b. Fig. 7a shows a top view of the correction pin extension plate 1 according to fig. 6. FIG. 7b shows a cross-sectional view along line A-A in FIG. 7 a. When the orthosis extension plate 1 determines the angle of installation, the orthosis extension plate 1 can be translated along the determined angle of installation to move the fixing hole 123 to the neck 531 of the mushroom head 53. Further, when the correction pin extending plate 1 is translated, the limiting through groove 126 first contacts the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53, and then the correction pin extending plate 1 is further translated to move the fixing hole 123 to the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53, so that the pin seat 52 moves relatively to be engaged with the engaging space 125 to fix the correction pin extending plate 1. Since the width of the limiting through-groove 126 is smaller than the diameter of the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53, a large external force is applied to force the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 to pass through the limiting through-groove 126 and further move the fixing hole 123 of the correction nail extension plate 1 to the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 to fix the correction nail 5, and besides, when the neck 531 of the correction nail 5 is located in the fixing hole 123, since the width of the limiting through-groove 126 is smaller than the diameter of the neck 531, the limiting part 1261 will block the neck 531 and make it difficult to disengage from the fixing hole 123 of the correction nail extension plate 1 to the adjusting hole 122. In this embodiment, the inner walls of the through-slot 126 extend toward the central portion of the through-slot 126 to form a protruding limiting portion 1261 (as shown in fig. 3), which is a structure with two sides retracted inward. Since one side and the opposite side of the profile of the nail seat 52 are parallel to and abut against the contact surfaces of the first substructure 1241 and the second substructure 1242 of the side fixing structure 124, the correction nail extension plate 1 can be fixed on the correction nail 5 at the aforementioned installation angle. In addition, since the diameter of the fixing hole 123 is smaller than the diameter of the head 532 of the mushroom-shaped head 53, the correction pin extending plate 1 does not come off from above the nail seat plane 521.
When the angle of the correction nail extension plate 1 needs to be adjusted again, the correction nail extension plate 1 can be translated reversely along the original angle to move the adjustment hole 122 to the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53, at this time, the nail seat 52 is separated from the sleeving space of the side fixing structure 124 and the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 passes through the limiting through groove 126 again, and the correction nail extension plate 1 becomes the state of adjustable angle. Therefore, the utility model discloses a correct nail extension board 1 need not dismantle from correcting nail 5, can directly lean on to attach and carry out installation and angle of adjustment on correcting nail 5.
As mentioned above, the limiting penetrating groove 126 of the present embodiment is a double-side inward-shrinking structure, but the present invention is not limited thereto in practice. Please refer to fig. 8. Fig. 8 is a schematic structural view of the correction nail extension plate 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the limiting through-groove 126 of the correction pin extending plate 1 is a single-side inward-retracted structure, i.e., a limiting portion 1261 is extended from the inner wall of one side of the limiting through-groove 126 toward the center of the limiting through-groove 126, and the single-side inward-retracted limiting through-groove 126 can also achieve the effect of blocking the neck 531 of the mushroom-shaped head 53 so that the neck is not easily separated from the fixing hole 123 of the correction pin extending plate 1. The functions of the other units in this embodiment are substantially the same as the functions of the corresponding units in the previous embodiment, and therefore, the detailed description thereof is omitted.
Please refer to fig. 6 again. When the orthodontic nail extension plate 1 is fixed to the orthodontic nail 5, one end of an elastic means such as a spring, an elastic chain or a rubber band may be fitted over the first fitting groove 141 and the other end of the elastic means may be fitted over the orthodontic appliance of the tooth, so that the elastic means has an effect of pulling the tooth. Furthermore, the elastic device can be simultaneously inserted into two first insertion grooves 141 at opposite positions on the first arm 14 to increase the stability and reduce the probability of falling off of the elastic device. Since the opening direction of the first attachment groove 141 is perpendicular to the opening direction of the adjustment hole 122 and the fixing hole 123, in other words, the opening direction of the first attachment groove 141 is parallel to the gum, the elastic device is more easily attached to the first attachment groove 141.
Please refer to fig. 9. Fig. 9 is a schematic structural view of the correction nail extension plates 1 ', 1 ", and 1'" according to embodiments of the present invention. As shown in fig. 9, the side fixing structures 124 ', 124 ", and 124"' of the nail extension plates 1 ', 1 ", and 1"' may form the sheathing space 125 by one of a horseshoe shape, a U shape, or a polygon shape, in addition to the sheathing space 125 formed by the first substructure 1241 and the second substructure 1242 in the embodiment of fig. 3. Further, the side fixing structures 124 may be configured to correspond to the shape of the nail seat 52 of the correction nail 5, and thus, can be more firmly fixed when the correction nail extension plate 1 is fixed to the correction nail 5.

A first angle is formed between the second suspension arm 15 and the first suspension arm 14Degree a1And the extending directions of the second suspension arm 15 and the first suspension arm 14 are parallel to the plane 121 of the adjustment fixing portion 12. In this embodiment, the second suspension arm 15 can be swung leftwards or rightwards by the first suspension arm 14, for example, as shown in the upper and lower diagrams of fig. 10. Further, the second suspension arm 15 may be provided with a plurality of second attachment grooves 152 for the elastic device to be attached, and the opening directions of the second attachment grooves 152 are perpendicular to the opening directions of the adjustment hole 122 and the fixing hole 123. The function of the second attachment groove 152 is the same as that of the first attachment groove 141, and thus, the description thereof is omitted. In addition, other components of the correction nail extension plate 1 of the present embodiment are substantially the same as the corresponding components of the previous embodiment in structure and function, and therefore, the description thereof is omitted.
Please refer to fig. 11. Fig. 11 is a view illustrating the orthodontic nail extension plate 1 of fig. 10 applied to orthodontic treatment. Generally, when the irregular dentition is serious, the number of teeth to be corrected is large. As shown in fig. 11, if the patient's mouth contains a skewed tooth 70 and a protruding tooth 80 that need to be straightened, the orthodontic pins 5 and the orthodontic pin extension plate 1 can be disposed at the positions shown in the figure, and at this time, the first cantilever 14 of the orthodontic pin extension plate 1 can cooperate with one elastic device 2 to pull the protruding tooth 80, and the second cantilever 15 cooperates with the other elastic device 2 to pull the skewed tooth 70. Therefore, the orthodontic nail extension plate 1 can simultaneously straighten two teeth by the first and second cantilever arms 14 and 15 in combination with the elastic device 2.
Please refer to fig. 12. Fig. 12 is a schematic structural view of the correction pin extension plate 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention. In the embodiment of fig. 10, the extending directions of the second suspension arm 15 and the first suspension arm 14 are both parallel to the plane 121 of the adjustment fixing portion 12. In contrast, as shown in fig. 12, the extending direction of the first suspension arm 14 of the present embodiment is parallel to the plane 121 of the adjustment fixing portion 12, and the extending direction of the second suspension arm 15 forms a second angle a with the plane 1212. In practical application, the irregular dentition not only has horizontal deflection, but also has front and back dislocation, and the space of the oral cavity is limited, therefore, the utility model discloses a correction nail extension board 1 can be by different anglesThe structure is orthodontic at a plurality of angles.
