参照图1和图2，一种车外后视镜，包括镜壳1和竖向装在镜壳1内的镜片2，镜片2后方的镜壳1内设有与转向灯同步开启的灯体，与灯体相对的镜壳1底部设有通光孔4，在灯体的上部设有与通光孔4对应的聚光罩，在所述通光孔4处装有透镜3，灯体设在镜片2后方的镜壳1内，避免了灯体的风吹日晒雨淋，可以给灯体提供更好的保护，结构简单，降低了制造成本，使用方便；设透镜3，既具有照明作用，还会使得投影到地面上光的形状更清晰，指示更准确，警示效果更明了。
所述灯体为LED灯条，节约电量，可采用黄灯，黄灯的穿透能力强，特别适用于雾雨天。
所述的通光孔4为箭头状，与转向一致，具有很好的警示作用。
在所述透镜3上设有供灯光照射至地面形成指示影像的透明箭头状透光区，扩大指示影像，使得警示标志更加显眼。

在转向的同时，灯体开启，灯光经透镜照射在地面上，在地面上形成指示影像，使得位于车两侧的行人或车辆或堵车排队的后方车辆能从旁边获悉前方车辆的转向意向，采用黄色灯，可获得良好的透视效果，特别适用于雨雾天气，投影出的箭头与所要转的方向一致，具有更好的指示和警示效果，同时还具有照明作用，方便主副驾驶座上的人员下车时，能看清路面状况。
本实用新型采用的灯光数量少，节省能耗，且整个装置的安全性高；该装置既可将通光孔设置为箭头状，也可在透镜上设置箭头状透光区，且该装置的投射形状也可为其它任何形状。
