汽车排气系统由于发动机本身的震动和排气的影响，排气管震动较大，使用寿命会受到影响，固定排气管的排气管挂钩由于共振的原因震动也很大，这样对排气管固定和保护作用就大大减弱，挂钩本身的使用寿命也减小。
