本实用新型解决其技术问题所采用的技术方案是：一种防切手菜刀，其结构包括刀柄、刀体和刀刃，其特征是，在刀体一侧刀刃上方对称焊接有两个横截面为L型的钢板，形成相对的两个垂直方向的槽缝，所述槽缝的底端封堵，一挡板的两端放置于槽缝内。

如图1所示，本实用新型的防切手菜刀，其结构由刀柄1、刀体2、L型的钢板6、槽缝4和挡板5构成。
在刀体2一侧焊接有L型的钢板6，从而形成两个垂直方向的槽缝4，槽缝4的尺寸及两槽缝的间距与挡板5相匹配，可将挡板5放置于槽缝4内，槽缝的底端封堵。
在使用菜刀切菜时，可将挡板5安装在槽缝4内，加大了手指与刀刃3间的距离，可阻止刀刃3接触手指，防止手指被切；不安装挡板5时，菜刀又可做其它用途使用，使菜刀的使用既安全又方便。
