Abstract

背景技术
连接器组件典型地包括具有容纳针式触头的插头壳体的插头连接器,该插头连接器配合到具有容纳插座式触头的插座壳体的插座连接器。插头壳体和插座壳体物理配合,其将针式和插座式触头进行物理和电连接以形成电连接。 
这些连接器用于镇流器荧光灯的应用中。在该应用中,插头连接器和插座连接器通过使用工具进行配合和/或要求不只一只手。工具的使用和/或多个手是不方便的并且不是所希望的。 
一旦配合之后,这些连接器可容纳在镇流器盒中。通常,转化成泡沫或固体的流体被引入到这些盒子中作为灌封。该泡沫或固体防止配合的连接器分开,而不需要切开电线。 
要解决的问题是需要提供一种连接器和连接方法,该连接方法允许配合的电连接器组件的物理和电连接发生在灌封区域的外侧并且能够进行连接和/或断开而不需要切开电线,其不需要工具并且可用单手进行连接和/或断开。

公开了一种连接器,该连接器包括具有灌封屏蔽体的壳体,配置为延伸过所述壳体的至少一个导体,其中所述壳体配置为安装到PCB,该PCB 配置成定位在镇流器中,由此允许至少一个导体延伸过PCB和镇流器。

图1和2示出了位于镇流器104中的连接器102的示例性实施。如图1所示,连接器102包括插座端106,壳体108,以及锁闭机构110。如图2所示,连接器102还包括灌封屏蔽体112,至少一个导体114,以及稳定构件116。图1和图2所示的实施例还描述了连接器102安装到印刷电路板(“PCB”)118。 
在图1和2所示的实施例中,连接器102位于PCB118的顶部上的镇 流器104内。连接器102的插座端106从镇流器104内延伸到镇流器104的外侧。连接器102的该插座端106特别地配置为与现有的连接器配合。特别地,该连接器配置为与一种连接器配合,所述连接器为例如2006年11月2日提交的美国专利申请号为11/555,941中公开的连接器,其以参考的方式被整体并入。 
连接器102的壳体108在图1和2所示的实施例中被表示为聚酰胺模制的壳体。在另一些实施例中,其他的硬的且非导电的塑料,如本领域内的技术人员将理解到的,用来制造壳体108。在图1和2所示的实施例中,壳体108是一体件,但是在其他的实施例中,包括彼此固定的多个部件。 
灌封屏蔽体112是围绕连接器102的壳体108的外部延伸的凸缘状的结构。灌封屏蔽体112特别配置为邻接镇流器104的壁120。在图3中可见,灌封屏蔽体112包括大致为平面的底面304,其用作对准边缘和作为导引设备。在图1和2所示的实施例中,灌封屏蔽体112被描述为具有半圆形的顶面122。在另一实施例中,可包括垫圈以密封灌封物可逸出的任何开口。在其他的实施例中,灌封屏蔽体112包括大致为平面的顶面。在一个实施例中,灌封屏蔽体112包括一顶面,该顶面在连接器102完全插入到镇流器104中时与镇流器124的顶面齐平。 
灌封屏蔽体112配置为作为物理障碍,防止插入到镇流器104中的灌封物从镇流器104中排出。灌封物是一种物质,其用于将整个的电子组件充满固体或变为固体的化合物的工艺中。灌封物用于防震、防振,以及排除潮湿和腐蚀剂。通常,热固性塑料用作灌封物。灌封屏蔽体112还配置为镇流器104和PCB118的定位设备。 
图2所示的实施例描述了至少一个导体114。描述的实施例包括罩在连接器102的壳体108之下的稳定构件116之间的第二导体114。至少一个导体114在一端上延伸过PCB118并且穿过壳体108延伸到连接器102的插座端106,在该插座端处,导体114与配置为与对应的连接器配合的至少一个触头302电连通。 
如图1和2示出的实施例所示,稳定构件116是一种立方体几何形状的水平构件,其配置为邻接PCB118并且用作防止连接器102移位的设备。在图1和2所示的实施例中,两个稳定构件116在镇流器104内位于 连接器102的相对侧上。稳定构件116描述为与连接器102的壳体108为一体。在其他的实施例中,稳定构件116与连接器102分开并且连接到连接器102。在图1和2中,稳定构件116被描述为与连接器102的材料相同。在其他的实施例中,稳定构件116包括不同的材料。稳定构件116的另一功能在于稳定构件116部分地保护导体114防止其受到损坏。稳定构件116通过用作导体114和围绕连接器102的区域之间的物理障碍来提供该保护。稳定构件116还提供一些特征,允许板锁件602插入到稳定构件116中由此在进行焊接或其他固定之前将连接器固定到PCB118。 
图3示出了安装到PCB118的连接器102的示例性实施例。如图3所示,连接器102的插座端106特别配置为通过锁闭机构110与相应的连接器配合。插座端106包括至少一个开口,其被布置和放置在插座端106内以允许触头302罩在壳体108内。在图3示出的实施例中,插座端106包括两个触头302。在其他的实施例中,可包括更多或更少的触头302。图3所示的实施例中的触头302包括在内部的镍上镀锡的铜合金。如本领域内的技术人员将理解到的,在其他的实施例中,触头302材料可包括其他的导电材料。 
图3所示的实施例还描述了灌封屏蔽体112的大致为平面的底面304。大致为平面的底面304是为连接器102相对于PCB118的合适放置提供位置的对准边缘的实施例。在图3所示的实施例中,扁平的底面304与灌封屏蔽体112为一体。在另一实施例中,灌封屏蔽体112是单独的一件,其配置为连接到壳体108。仍在另一实施例中,灌封屏蔽体112被直接连接到镇流器104由此允许连接器102插入到灌封屏蔽体112中。 
如图3中的连接器102的实施例中所示的,连接器102还包括表面安装的压板306。该表面安装的压板306从连接器102的壳体108的稳定构件116延伸过PCB118。如图3所示,在一个实施例中,表面安装的压板306穿过PCB118突起,允许表面安装的压板被焊接,锻接,或者压扁由此将连接器102固定到PCB118。 
图4和5示出了连接器102的示例性实施例。在图4和5中,锁闭机构110被描述为与灌封屏蔽体112分开。锁闭机构110和灌封屏蔽体112之间的狭槽402的距离与镇流器104(图1所示)上的壁120的厚度对应。在图4和5所示的实施例中,狭槽402比壁120(图1所示)的厚度 稍微大些。在另一实施例中,锁闭机构110连接到灌封屏蔽体112但是灌封屏蔽体112从壳体108比从锁闭机构110延伸地更远,由此允许锁闭机构110邻接镇流器104(图1所示)的壁120同时允许灌封屏蔽体112当作围绕镇流器104和连接器102之间的接口的物理障碍。 
图6示出了连接器102的示例性实施例的分解透视图。在图6中,稳定构件116被描述为配置成允许板锁件602插入到稳定构件116中。板锁件602配置为插入到PCB118(在图6没有示出)。板锁件602允许连接器102在定位在镇流器104中和/或PCB118上时被固定。板锁件602还当作导引件,用于将连接器102合适地定位在PCB118上。在图6示出的实施例中,板锁件602还当作表面安装的压板306。在其他的实施例中,板锁件602与表面安装的压板306分开。 
图6示出的实施例还描述了从插座端106移除的触头302。在示出的实施例中,触头302与导体104电连通。图6示出的导体114与延伸过连接器102的壳体108的导体114相同,在此这些导体弯曲然后在稳定构件116之间延伸并穿过PCB118。本领域内的技术人员将理解到触头302可用与另一连接器上的触头对应的插座替换。

Claims (10)

1.一种连接器(102),包括:
包括灌封屏蔽体(112)的壳体(108),所述灌封屏蔽体(112)是一种物理障碍,该物理障碍配置为防止插入到镇流器(104)的灌封物从镇流器(104)排出;
配置为延伸过所述壳体(108)的至少一个导体(114);以及
其特征在于,所述壳体(108)被配置为安装到印刷电路板(118),所述印刷电路板(118)配置为位于镇流器(104)中,由此允许所述至少一个导体(114)延伸过印刷电路板(118)并穿过镇流器(104)。
