Abstract
抑制燃料电池用冷却液组合物基剂氧化的方法,本发明涉及燃料电池的冷却中使用的冷却液组合物,详细地是涉及,采用本发明方法的冷却液组合物,即使长期使用,由基剂氧化引起的导电率升高也很小,经过长时间仍可以维持低导电率。该方法,以抑制基剂的氧化为目的,将含有由选自赤藓糖醇、木糖醇、山梨糖醇、甘露糖醇、肌醇、栎醇、异麦芽酮糖醇、乳糖醇、麦芽糖醇、蔗糖、棉子糖、龙胆三糖、松三糖、车前糖、水苏糖中的至少1种所构成的糖醇类加入组合物。
Description
技术领域
本发明方法涉及燃料电池,特别涉及在汽车用燃料电池的冷却中使用的冷却液组合物,更详细地涉及,采用本发明方法的组合物即使经过长期使用,因基剂氧化引起的导电率升高也很小,经过长时间仍可以维持低导电率。
背景技术
燃料电池,一般是将作为发电单元的单个电池多层层积形成的电池组。由于发电时电池组发热,为了冷却该电池组,所以每隔几个电池即插入冷却板。在该冷却板内部形成冷却液通路,由冷却液流过该通路而使电池组冷却。
这样一来,由于燃料电池冷却液在进行发电的电池组内循环而对电池组进行冷却,所以,如果冷却液的导电率高,则电池组内产生的电就会向冷却液一侧流动,损失电能,使该燃料电池的发电能力下降。因此,以往的燃料电池冷却液使用的是导电率低的,也就是电绝缘性高的纯水。
但是,考虑到汽车用燃料电池或家用热电同时供应系统用燃料电池的情况,不运转时,冷却液的温度会下降到环境温度。特别是有可能在冰点下使用的情况下,纯水结冻,冷却液体积膨胀引起冷却板的破损等,可能损害燃料电池的电池性能。
因此,以抗冻性为目的,考虑在燃料电池用冷却液中使用二元醇类或醇类等基剂。
但是,使用二元醇类或醇类等基剂作为燃料电池用冷却液时,燃料电池运转中发生氧化,生成少量的离子性物质。因此,经过长期使用,冷却液中的离子性物质的量仍会增加,结果可能会导致不能维持低导电率的状况。
为了消除这样的不良状况的发生,考虑在燃料电池冷却系统的流路中设置离子交换树脂,去除冷却液中的离子物质,抑制冷却液导电率的上升。
但是,这样的情况下,离子交换树脂被用于去除因基剂氧化而生成的离子性物质,该离子交换树脂的离子交换量迅速下降,交换寿命显著缩短。
本发明鉴于上述情况,目的是提供一种抑制燃料电池用冷却液组合物基剂氧化的方法,采用本发明方法的燃料电池用冷却液组合物因基剂氧化引起的导电率的升高小,且经历长时间仍可以维持低导电率。
发明内容
本发明抑制燃料电池用冷却液组合物基剂氧化的方法,其特征为,在燃料电池用冷却液组合物基剂中加入特定的糖醇类。基剂优选是导电率低、具有抗冻性的物质,具体而言,优选选自一元醇类、二元醇类及二元醇醚类的1种或2种以上的混合物。
一元醇类,例如可以是选自甲醇、乙醇、丙醇、丁醇、戊醇、己醇、庚醇、辛醇中的1种或2种以上的混合物。
二元醇,例如可以是选自乙二醇、二乙二醇、三乙二醇、丙二醇、1,3-丙二醇、1,3-丁二醇、1,5-戊二醇、己二醇中的1种或2种以上的混合物。
二元醇醚,例如可以是选自乙二醇单甲醚、二乙二醇单甲醚、三乙二醇单甲醚、四乙二醇单甲醚、乙二醇单乙醚、二乙二醇单乙醚、三乙二醇单乙醚、四乙二醇单乙醚、乙二醇单丁醚、二乙二醇单丁醚、三乙二醇单丁醚、四乙二醇单丁醚中的1种或2种以上的混合物。
本发明方法使上述基剂中含有特定的糖醇类,抑制该基剂的氧化,以此抑制基剂氧化引起的导电率升高,使其维持不使燃料电池发电能力下降的程度的导电率(低导电率)。具体地,是维持组合物的导电率在10μS/cm以下。另外,使组合物的导电率的变化在即使经过长时间使用后,仍维持在0~10μS/cm的范围内。
能够产生这样效果的糖醇类,例如可以是选自赤藓糖醇、木糖醇、山梨糖醇、甘露糖醇、肌醇、栎醇、异麦芽酮糖醇、乳糖醇、麦芽糖醇、蔗糖、棉子糖、龙胆三糖、松三糖、车前糖、水苏糖中的至少1种。其中,因为山梨糖醇、甘露糖醇和乳糖醇的抑制氧化效果好,且在操作性和获得的难易性方面也是优良的,所以优选。
糖醇的含量,最好是在相对于基剂的0.1~20.0重量%的范围。当糖醇含量少于上述范围时,不能得到充分的抑制氧化效果;反之,当糖醇含量多于上述范围时,得不到与增加的部分相应的效果,是不经济的。
采用本发明方法的组合物中,除上述基剂和糖醇类外,例如还可以含有调整pH用的苛性碱、染料、消泡剂、防腐剂等,作为以往公知的防锈剂,在不损害该组合物的低导电率的范围内,可以并用磷酸盐、硝酸盐、亚硝酸盐、钼酸盐、钨酸盐、硼酸盐、硅酸盐、硫酸盐、亚硫酸盐、碳酸盐、胺盐、三唑类等。
实施例
以下,根据实施例对采用本发明方法的组合物进行详细说明。下述表1中示出作为该组合物的优选实施例的例1~3,同时,为了比较,还举出了在离子交换水中加入以具有抗冻性为目的的乙二醇的例子(比较例1)、向比较例1中添加了葡萄糖的例子(比较例2)、向比较例1的基剂中添加了甘露糖的例子(比较例3)、向比较例1的基剂中添加了乳糖的例子(比较例4)、向比较例1的基剂中添加了麦芽糖的例子(比较例5)。

对于上述表1中所示的实施例1~3和比较例1~5的各组合物,测定氧化老化试验后的导电率。其结果如表2所示。其中,氧化老化试验是在100~168小时的条件下进行的。

根据表2,实施例1~3和比较例1~5的各组合物,均表现出初期导电率为0.4μS/cm以下的低导电率,但是观察氧化老化试验后的导电率时,确认了比较例1~5的各组合物的导电率均超过40μS/cm,导电率大幅升高。与此相对,对于实施例1~3的各组合物,确认了导电率的升高幅度均很小,它们的导电率低于10μS/cm,维持了低导电率。
发明效果
因为采用本发明方法的组合物,以抑制基剂的氧化为目的,含有由选自赤藓糖醇、木糖醇、山梨糖醇、甘露糖醇、肌醇、栎醇、异麦芽酮糖醇、乳糖醇、麦芽糖醇、蔗糖、棉子糖、龙胆三糖、松三糖、车前糖、水苏糖中的至少1种所构成的糖醇类,所以即使长期使用,因基剂氧化而引起的导电率的升高也很小,经历长时间仍可以维持低导电率。
Claims (6)
1.燃料电池用冷却液组合物,其特征为,以抑制基剂的氧化为目的,含有由选自赤藓糖醇、木糖醇、山梨糖醇、甘露糖醇、肌醇、栎醇、异麦芽酮糖醇、乳糖醇、麦芽糖醇、蔗糖、棉子糖、龙胆三糖、松三糖、车前糖、水苏糖中的至少1种所构成的糖醇类;所述基剂是具有抗冻性的基剂,由选自一元醇类、二元醇类及二元醇醚类中的1种或2种以上的混合物组成的。
2.根据权利要求1记载燃料电池用冷却液组合物,其特征为,一元醇类是由选自甲醇、乙醇、丙醇、丁醇、戊醇、己醇、庚醇、辛醇中的1种或2种以上的混合物组成的。
3.根据权利要求1记载燃料电池用冷却液组合物,其特征为,二元醇是由选自乙二醇、二乙二醇、三乙二醇、丙二醇、1,3-丙二醇、1,3-丁二醇、1,5-戊二醇、己二醇中的1种或2种以上的混合物组成的。
4.根据权利要求1记载燃料电池用冷却液组合物,其特征为,二元醇醚是由选自乙二醇单甲醚、二乙二醇单甲醚、三乙二醇单甲醚、四乙二醇单甲醚、乙二醇单乙醚、二乙二醇单乙醚、三乙二醇单乙醚、四乙二醇单乙醚、乙二醇单丁醚、二乙二醇单丁醚、三乙二醇单丁醚、四乙二醇单丁醚中的1种或2种以上的混合物组成的。
5.根据权利要求1记载燃料电池用冷却液组合物,其特征为,含有糖醇的比例是0.1~20.0重量%。
6.根据权利要求1至5的任一项记载燃料电池用冷却液组合物,其特征为,导电率维持在10μS/cm以下。
