移动无线存在及状况管理系统及方法
技术领域
本发明总的有关无线通信系统,具体说,有关用来以一无线装置的存在及状况为基础调整该无线装置的操作参数的方法。
背景技术
当今的无线电话并不包含用来判断使用者所在位置、使用者身旁有谁、使用者正在做什么、或使用者较想要的通信方式的机构。此类知识被称为存在及状况信息。存在信息牵涉到一装置所在(亦即目前可供该装置运用)的网络及服务。状况信息牵涉到该装置目前遭遇到的状况,包含装置的实体位置、与其它无线装置的临近度、及使用者所在环境。
存在信息的一实例为实时通讯应用软件中的″好友列表(buddy lists)″。当在使用者A好友列表内的使用者的一以实时通讯应用软件连接一网络,使用者A会在他(或她)的屏幕上接收到该另一使用者已连接到该网络(已″存在″)且可与此人通信的指示。该好友列表亦含有诸如一使用者已连接该网络但不接受通信的信息。
状况信息是必要的,因为无线电话可能扰人且有时因为在不当时间响起、譬如在电话所有人正在进行重要谈话、正在会议中、出席宗教场合、在恶劣天气环境中驾驶、或在飞机起飞/着陆期间(前提是不慎将电话留在已开机状态)而变得危险分心。因此期望将存在及状况信息纳入一无线电话内。
发明内容
一种用来调整用于一无线通信网路内的一无线装置的操作参数的方法始于产生并存储状况设定值。当该网络接收到一欲给该无线装置的通信,即判断该无线装置的存在。以该无线装置的存在为基础施用所述状况设定值。该无线装置经由所述所用状况设定值被告知该通信。
用于一个或多个无线装置的存在及状况信息是由无线装置本身、由网络、或由该装置与该网络的一组合决定。举例来说,该存在及状况信息可被人工地、自动地、或半自动地输入该无线装置内。另一选择,该网络可由其自身或是协同该无线装置判断该无线装置的所在位置。然后将该存在及状况信息或其部分存储在该装置内、该网络内、或该装置及该网络二者内。
一种用来调整一无线通信网路内的一无线装置的操作参数的系统包含用来输入状况设定值的输入构件;用来存储所述状况设定值的存储构件;用来接收在该网络欲给该无线装置的一通信的接收构件;用来判断该无线装置的存在的存在构件;用来以该无线装置的存在为基础施用所述状况设定值的施用构件;以及用来经由所述所用状况设定值告知该无线装置有该通信的告知构件。
一种利用存在及状况信息控制一无线网络内的一无线装置的通信的方法始于产生与该无线装置有关的存在及状况信息。将该存在及状况信息存储在该无线装置及/或该无线网络内。从该存在及状况信息的储存位置检索该信息并用以控制该无线装置的通信。

具体实施方式
以下说明利用无线发射/接收单元(WTRUs)解释本发明的功能。然而应理解到本发明得搭配能够连接一网络的任何类型无线通信装置使用。此等装置非局限性包含具备移动电话网络能力、无线局域网络(WLAN)能力、蓝芽(Bluetooth)联机能力、及类似能力的装置。在下文中,一WTRU非局限性包含一用户设备、一移动站、一固接或移动用户单元、一呼叫器、或任何其它能够在一无线环境内运作的装置类型。
今参照图1,一存在及状况(P&S)管理系统100包含数个无线装置,譬如一WTRU 102、一手持式电脑104、及一膝上型电脑106。应理解到这些装置仅为可用在系统100内的装置类型的实例;任何能够以无线方式存取一网络的装置皆可搭配于系统100使用。装置102、104、106经由一无线链路108与一网络110通信。网络110包含一存在及状况(P&S)管理服务器112。
P&S管理系统100具有一用户的目前存在及状况信息的知识库。系统100可由此知识库判断用户的可用性。举例来说,倘若用户正在会议中且已通知该P&S管理系统他/她不想接收来电,则来电者会接收到无法接通该用户的指示。
一依据本发明建构的WTRU 102的较佳实施例在图2中以简化方块图绘出。一WTRU 102利用一天线/天线数组202及一收发器204接收和发射信号。收发器204为WTRU处理电路206内的一组件。一P&S产生器208自动地产生存在及状况信息,不经用户人工输入。一存储器210被用于存储P&S相关信息。另一选择,P&S信息得被存储在网络110内、一与该用户相伴的记录内。一GPS装置212是一可随同于WTRU 102并用来提供电话机的位置信息的任选性装置。
P&S信息可通过下列三种方式其中之一移入:由用户人工输入;由用户的WTRU 102(经由P&S产生器208)自动地判断;或由网络110检测。信息的人工输入可为经由一网络型公用程序输入WTRU内或是直接输入P&S管理系统内。此外,WTRU 102可当作让一群隶属于单一用户的装置通达网络110的管道。
状况信息包含诸如用户是否不想要接收任何来电、除紧急电话外不接来电、或只接一″好友/雇主″列表的来电。举例来说,用户可能会在他/她的电话机遗失或借给别人的时希望阻挡所有来电。此信息可由用户人工输入(例如建立一状况管理摘要)。连接于网络110的装置具有经由图像、文字、或音响信号适当地显示此信息的用户接口。
位置信息包含诸如用户是否在一医院内、在一剧院内、驾驶中、或在一飞机内的信息。此信息可由下述方式获得:
(1)位置感测电话机及地图资料。WTRU 102的目前位置可由GPS(通过GPS装置212)或是其它定位技术、譬如利用移动电话网络的网络协力GPS或三角测量技术判断。地图资料可被存储在WTRU 102或网络110内。
(2)经由与其它同级实体的对等模式连接自动地学习。举例来说,医院可能有蓝芽询答机,这种询答机持续广播自有信息,这些信息会被一漫游到医院内的WTRU 102接收到。
(3)另一选择,能够知晓电话机位置的电话网络可将一讯息发给WTRU102以更新状况信息。
图3为一依据本发明运用P&S信息的方法300的流程图。方法300始于(步骤302)经由用户的无线装置输入用户想要的状况设定值(步骤304)。然后将所述状况设定值存储在装置或网络内(步骤306)。当网络接收到一欲给该装置的通信(步骤308),即判断该装置的存在(步骤310)。
在已判断该装置存在之后以存在信息为基础施用状况设定值(步骤312)。这种状况设定值得为施用在该装置或该网络。在已施用状况设定值之后,该装置被网络告知有通信(步骤314),且该方法结束(步骤316)。
图4绘出被用来使装置402与网络404间的用户P&S信息同步化的装置402与网络404间一系列讯息交换400。当P&S信息在装置被更新(方块410),由装置402发送一更信触发信号412。网络404接收该更新触发信号,查验装置402的身份,且开始更新程序(方块414)。
网络404请求来自装置402的P&S信息(方块416)。装置402接收此更新请求并查验网络身份(方块418)。然后装置402向网络发送P&S信息(方块420)。网络404接收该P&S信息(方块422)并存储该P&S信息(方块424)。
在方块414和418进行的查验步骤被设计为对同步化程序增添一安全层级,借以确保装置402与网络404间的信息转移有授权,且装置402和网络404都不跟任何未经授权的装置通信。以同步化的P&S信息为基础,该网络适切地处理来往于该用户的发信及讯务流量。由于该网络具有用户目前P&S信息的知识库,其可依据先前建立的状况设定值适切地向用户发信。该网络可能在用户身处一医院或图书馆内时限制来电。其可能发送一简讯服务(SMS)讯息取代铃声。
现参照图5,一系统500包含一具有数个装置504、506、508和510的用户个人局域网络(PAN)502。装置504-510得通过可用媒体以一特殊方式相互通信;图中以虚线绘出装置504-510间的连接以表达此等连接的非永久性本质。PAN 502经一无线链路514与一网络512通信。虽说图中显示无线链路514连接网络512与装置506,该网络得与PAN 502的任何装置504-510通信。
当网络512与一PAN 502通信,其可在通过该PAN将通信送达正确装置的方式与单一装置通信、譬如向一不同装置504-510发送来电(亦即来电转接)或是与用户PAN 502整体通信的时采取无作为的移动(take actions notavailable)。举例来说,倘若一声音档正被发送给用户,则可使该声音档送达用户的独立声音播放器而非用户的电话机。相似地,网络512可使用户无法打出电话或是接收任何来电(举例来说,在用户处于飞机内的情况)。可供状况设定值使用的组态选项仅受用户PAN 502内的装置504-510的容量限制。
虽说以上已就无线移动装置说明本发明,其亦可应用于流浪有线装置、譬如一附接于不同子网络的膝上型电脑。本发明依″流浪有线″设定值的运作的仅有差异在于状况信息很可能不同;其此之外,本发明以如前所述的相同方式运作。
本发明亦可被军队使用。在此一实施例中,本发明的整体运作大致相同,但P&S信息是以较高频率更新,因为此信息在一军事环境中可能事关重大。举例来说,本发明可被用在一有一特殊网络的军事环境中,在此环境中有多个移动装置需要相互通信。P&S信息在被送到主网络之前即在连接于该特殊网络的装置之间交换。亦有可能在此环境中使用一网状网络,其中连接于该网状网络的每一装置接收到至少一些信息、但或许不是接收到所有信息。为了使连接于该网状网络的所有装置都得到一完整P&S全像,需要将来自于不同装置的信息融合在一起。
应理解到本发明可搭配(用于某些服务类型的)封包交换技术及电路交换(″永远联机″)技术使用。虽说已用附图和文字展现本发明的特殊实施例,熟悉本技术的人员可不脱离本发明的范围做出许多等同的修改和变型。以上说明不论如何都只是本发明的范例说明而非限制。

Claims (41)

1.一种调整用于一无线通信网路的一无线装置的操作参数的方法,其包括下列步骤:
产生状况设定值;
存储所述状况设定值;
在所述网络接收一针对所述无线装置的通信;
判断所述无线装置的存在;
以所述无线装置的存在为基础施用所述状况设定值;以及
经由所述施用状况设定值告知所述无线装置有所述通信。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤是在所述无线装置进行。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤是在所述网络进行。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述存储步骤是在所述无线装置进行。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述存储步骤是在所述网络进行。
6.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤是部分地在所述无线装置进行且部分地在所述网络进行。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述判断步骤是在所述无线装置进行。

11.一种用于一无线通信系统的无线电话听筒,其包括:
一用来产生与所述无线电话听筒有关的存在及状况信息的存在及状况产生器;及
一用来存储所述存在及状况信息的存储器。
12.如权利要求11所述的无线电话听筒,其特征在于还包括一全球定位系统装置。
13.一种用来调整一无线通信网路的一无线装置的操作参数的系统,其包括:
用来产生状况设定值的产生构件;
用来存储所述状况设定值的存储构件;
用来接收在所述网络针对所述无线装置的一通信的接收构件;
用来判断所述无线装置存在的存在构件;
用以基于所述无线装置的存在施用所述状况设定值的施用构件;及
用来经由所述施用状况设定值告知所述无线装置有所述通信的告知构件。
14.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述无线装置包含所述产生构件。
15.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述网络包含所述产生构件。
16.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述无线装置包含所述存储构件。
17.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述无线装置包含所述存在构件。
18.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述无线装置包含所述施用构件。
19.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述网络包含所述存储构件。

22.一种利用存在及状况信息以控制一无线网络内的一无线装置的通信的方法,其包括以下步骤:
产生与所述无线装置有关的存在及状况信息;
存储所述存在及状况信息;
检索所述存在及状况信息;以及
利用所述存在及状况信息控制所述无线装置的通信。
23.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤包含以人工方式将存在及状况信息输入所述无线装置内。
24.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤包含以感测所述无线装置的位置的方式自动地产生存在及状况信息。
25.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤包含通过所述无线装置与所述无线网络间的区域通信以自动地产生存在及状况信息。
26.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤包含通过所述无线装置与另一同级无线装置间的区域通信以自动地产生存在及状况信息。
27.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤包含由所述无线网络以所述无线网络就所述无线装置做出的测量值为基础产生所述存在及状况信息。
28.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述产生步骤包含由所述无线网络以从所述无线装置回报给所述无线网络的测量值为基础产生所述存在及状况信息。
29.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述存储步骤包含将所述存在及状况信息存储在所述无线装置内。
30.如权利要求22所述的方法,其特征在于所述存储步骤包含将所述存在及状况信息存储在所述无线网络内。

38.如权利要求37所述的方法,其特征在于倘若所述存在及状况信息无法从所述无线装置上取得,则查询所述无线网络以求所述存在及状况信息。
