Description

技术背景
在离家操作移动电话时,移动电话通常在用户手臂能达到的范围内被找到。然而,在家中,移动电话和用户经常很容易被分开。当用户进行其它努力或忙于娱乐时,诸如看电视或听音响时,有时会忘记移动电话在何处。经常,在家中时移动电话被放在固定的支架中充电。假设移动电话和用户之间的距离增加,那么当在家中时一个进入的移动电话呼叫可给用户带来不便。特别地,一个振铃的移动电话要求用户追踪到移动电话的位置,识别呼叫者,随后应答呼叫。这个过程通常迫使用户错过在该进入呼叫之前用户正享受的部分电视节目或音乐。而且,在应答该进入的呼叫之后,用户必须观看电视或者听音乐,而同时经移动电话进行通话。

发明内容
电视或者家庭娱乐系统的典型的遥控设备(RCD)适合于与移动电话是可通信的。当移动电话以第一无线协议从一个数字蜂窝网络(DCN)接收一个信号时,所述信号以第二无线协议被无线地转发到所述RCD以便进行处理,诸如使用所述RCD应答一个话音呼叫或者显示消息数据。另外,所述RCD可以与诸如电视和/或家庭娱乐系统的其它部件的一个或多个外围设备无线地通信。所述RCD还可以将从所述移动电话接收的信号或者信号的成分转发到所述外围设备之一用于输出。因此,如果当一个信号被接收时移动电话不在手边,则所述信号可以被以一种用户认为适当的方式发送到所述RCD以便被处理。

执行本发明的最佳模式

随着移动电话被对接在基本单元中,基本单元从移动电话接收所述数字信号204,并且随后使用较短距离无线协议转发所述数字信号到RCD206。这个过程需要基本单元在无线地发送所述数字信号到它被接收的RCD之前通过串行端口从所述移动电话接收所述数字信号208。
如果移动电话未被对接在基本单元中202,并且如果所述移动电话不能与RCD通信210,则移动电话正常地处理来自DCN的进入的信号212。如果移动电话可与RCD通信210,但是在RCD的范围外214,则所述移动电话再次如它在没有与所述RCD交互作用的情况下通常所做的那样去处理所述进入的信号。然而,如果所述移动电话在RCD的范围内214,则所述移动电话中继或再发送所述被接收的数字信号到RCD216,在那里其被接收208。
RCD使用一个可以与移动电话和或基本单元通信的RF单元以便从所述基本单元或移动电话接收一个数字信号208。RCD检验被附加到所述数字信号的头标(控制数据)以便确定被接收的数字信号的类型。在确定信号类型(话音或数据)之后,RCD相应地处理所述数字信号。
一旦RCD已经从移动电话或基本单元接收并且初步处理了一个进入的信号,则RCD确定是否有任何外围设备当前可以与RCD通信218。如果没有,则RCD充当移动电话的分机,并且处理该进入的呼叫220保持在所述RCD上的A/V输出。因此,如果所述进入的呼叫是一个话音呼叫,则用户可以使用所述RCD来通话。如果RCD装备了小显示屏,则所述RCD能够显示一个进入的数据消息。如果当前有可用的外围设备可以与所述RCD通信,则所述RCD能够再发送所述进入的信号以便在适当的外围设备上显示和或听到222。
例如,在用户决定应答呼叫之前,呼叫者ID数据能够在电视上被显示。或者,刚一应答一个呼叫,RCD就能够路由发送所述音频以便由与电视或立体声系统耦合的扬声器播放。如果所述进入的信号是一个由文本、音频、和/或视频组成的数据信号,则所述RCD能够夺取对电视的控制以便“播放”所述消息。如果所述电视正巧被装备了数字视频记录(DVR)设备,则所述RCD能够自动地使进入电视的源信号暂停,这样一旦所述RCD/移动通信完成,用户便能够再继续观看而不错过任何内容。
图3提供了有关RCD如何处理被接收的信号的更多细节。RCD从确定被接收的信号是一个话音还是一个数据(文本、音频、和/或视频)信号300开始。在确定之后302,一个话音信号被标记用于话音信号处理304,并且一个数据信号被标记用于数据信号处理306。对于话音信号处理,如果RCD的用户选择发送被接收的音频信号到一个外围设备308,则RCD发送所述音频信号到被选择的外围设备310以便被输出。如果用户选择不发送被接收的音频信号到一个外围设备308,则RCD使用它自己的扬声器输出被接收的音频信号312。在呼叫期间的任何时间,用户能够选择发送被接收的音频信号到一个外围设备。
同样地,一个数据信号(文本、音频、和/或视频)被转发用于数据信号处理306。如果RCD的用户选择发送被接收的数据信号到一个外围设备308,则RCD发送所述数据信号到外围设备310。如果RCD的用户选择不发送被接收的数据信号到一个外围设备308,则RCD在自身上输出所述被接收的数据信号312。在任何时间,用户都可以选择发送被接收的数据信号到一个外围设备。
现在参考图4,一个外围设备通过可以是基于RF或IR(红外线)的无线链路从RCD接收信号400。在确定信号类型之后402,被从RCD发送到所述外围设备的话音信号被转发用于话音信号处理404,并且数据信号被转发用于数据信号处理406。对于话音信号处理404,外围设备使用集成的扬声器来输出音频信号,同时所述RCD使用一个集成的话筒将话音信号从用户发送回到移动电话408。对于数据信号处理406,外围设备以适合于数据的格式输出所述数据410。
例如,一个包括话音和音频的MMS消息能够通过诸如电视的外围设备被显示并且被可听见地输出。所述电视将能够显示包括但不限于JPEG或MPEG的普通视频格式,以及包括但不限于wav、midi或mp3的音频格式。SMS文本消息也可以通过电视被显示。
本发明特定的实施方案在此已经被揭示。本领域的普通技术人员将容易地认识到在其它环境中本发明可以有其它应用。事实上,很多实施方案和实现都是可能的。随后的权利要求书决不是想将本发明的范围限制在上述特定的实施方案中。另外,“用于......的装置”的任何叙述旨在表明一个装置加功能的单元或权利要求,而没有特别使用“用于......的装置”叙述的任何单元则不应被看作装置加功能的单元,即使该权利要求中包括“装置”一词。

Claims (12)

1.一种遥控设备(RCD),包括:
一用于控制一个或多个外围设备的第一无线接口;
一用于与移动电话通信的第二无线接口;
一用于输出从所述移动电话接收的音频信号的扬声器;
一用于接收要发送到所述移动电话的音频信号的话筒;以及
一用于处理在所述RCD和所述移动电话之间被通信的无线信号的处理器,
其中所述RCD:
响应于所述移动电话从数字蜂窝网络(DCN)接收一个无线信号而从所述移动电话接收一个信号;并且
处理从所述移动电话接收的信号。
2.如权利要求1中所述的RCD,其中,由所述RCD从所述移动电话接收的信号是一个被用于建立电话呼叫的音频信号。
3.如权利要求2中所述的RCD,其中,处理从所述移动电话被接收的信号包括:使用所述RCD来连接被所述移动电话接收的电话呼叫。
4.如权利要求3中所述的RCD,其中,所述RCD发送从所述移动电话接收的音频信号到所述一个或多个外围设备之一以便被可听见地输出。
5.如权利要求1中所述的RCD,其中,所述RCD从所述移动电话接收的信号是一个从包括文本数据信号、音频数据信号、视频数据信号及其任何组合的组中被选择的数据信号。
6.如权利要求5中所述的RCD,其中,处理从所述移动电话接收的信号的动作包括:发送从所述移动电话接收的数据信号到所述一个或多个外围设备之一以便输出。
7.如权利要求1中所述的RCD,其中,由所述RCD从所述移动电话接收的信号是一个从包括SMS消息、MMS消息、以及电子邮件消息的组中被选择的数据信号。
8.如权利要求7中所述的RCD,其中,处理从所述移动电话被接收的信号包括:发送从所述移动电话接收的数据信号到所述一个或多个外围设备之一以便输出。
9.一种与移动电话和一个或多个外围设备可通信的遥控设备(RCD),所述RCD包括:
用于控制所述移动电话的装置,以:
处理从所述移动电话接收的信号;
输出从所述移动电话接收的信号;
处理由所述移动电话从数字蜂窝网络(DCN)接收的进入的电话呼叫;以及
用于控制所述一个或多个外围设备以便从所述移动电话接收的信号能够被发送到所述一个或多个外围设备的装置。
10.如权利要求9中所述的RCD,还包括:
用于处理从所述移动电话接收的信号的处理装置;
用于输出从所述移动电话接收的音频信号的扬声器;以及
用于输入要发送到所述移动电话的音频信号的话筒。
11.如权利要求10中所述的RCD,其中,所述遥控设备还包括一个用户接口以便控制从所述移动电话接收的数据的输出。
12.如权利要求11中所述的RCD,其中,所述遥控设备还包括一个视频显示器以便显示从所述移动电话接收的视频或文本数据。
