本发明涉及用于荧光增白纸的组合物,其在纸浆堆(pulp mass)、在涂布或在计量施胶压榨或薄膜压榨中的用途,以及涉及其使用方法。
例如公开于DE OS 2715864中的传统纸荧光增白剂(FWA),是4,4’-二[(1,3,5-三嗪-2-基)氨基]均二苯代乙烯-2,2’-二磺酸的衍生物,其中三嗪环被苯胺基取代。取决于水溶性和/或亲和力的需要,这些苯胺基可以是未取代的或者是被一个或两个磺酸基取代的,因此得到的FWA被称为二-、四-或六-磺酸衍生物。
但是,在某些纸应用中,特别是在计量施胶压榨或薄膜压榨中,这些常规FWA是不利的,因为它们或者显示不充分的亲和力(例如六-磺基)或者显示低增白效果和低饱和点(例如二-磺基)。

但是优选地,这些组合物是自由流动的液体,包含
10wt-30wt%,特别是15wt-25wt%的组分a),
70wt-90wt%,特别是75wt-85wt%的水和

碳酰胺基可以是-C(=O)NHC1-C4烷基、-C(=O)N(C1-C4烷基)2或特别是-C(=O)NH2。
杂环基可以是具有一个或两个杂原子例如氧、硫或氮,其余骨架是碳原子的5、6或7元环。

当用于荧光增白纸时,本发明的组合物可以施加到纸浆堆中的纸基质上,以纸涂料组合物的形式施加,或直接在计量施胶压榨或薄膜压榨中施加。
本发明进一步的方面提供了本发明的组合在荧光增白纸表面的方法中的用途,包括使纸表面与含有白色颜料的涂料组合物;粘合剂分散体;任选的水可溶共粘合剂;和足够量的本发明的荧光增白剂组合物接触,以确保经处理的纸基于白色颜料通常含有0.01wt-1wt%的式(I)荧光增白剂。
作为根据本发明方法使用的纸涂料组合物的白色颜料组分,优选无机颜料,例如硅酸铝或硅酸镁,例如瓷土和高岭土和进一步的硫酸钡、缎光白、二氧化钛、碳酸钙(例如白垩、天然或沉积碳酸钙)或滑石;以及白色有机颜料。
根据本发明方法使用的纸涂料组合物尤其作为粘合剂可以包含基于丁二烯/苯乙烯、丙烯腈/丁二烯/苯乙烯、丙烯酸酯、丙烯酸酯/苯乙烯/丙烯腈、乙烯氯乙烯和乙烯/醋酸乙烯酯的共聚物;或均聚物例如聚氯乙稀、聚偏二氯乙烯、聚乙烯和聚醋酸乙烯酯或聚氨酯。优选的粘合剂包括苯乙烯/丙烯酸丁酯或苯乙烯/丁二烯/丙烯酸共聚物或苯乙烯/丁二烯橡胶。其它聚合物网格(polymer lattice)描述于例如下面的美国专利中:3265654、3657174、3547899和3240740。
任选的水溶性保护胶体可以是例如大豆蛋白质、酪蛋白、羧甲基纤维素、天然或改性淀粉、脱乙酰壳多糖或其衍生物,特别是聚乙烯醇。优选的聚乙烯醇保护胶体组分可具有宽范围的皂化水平和分子量;例如从40-100的皂化水平;和从10000-100000g/mol的平均分子量。

根据本发明方法使用的纸涂料组合物优选含有1wt-65wt%白色颜料。粘合剂的优选使用量为足以使聚合化合物的干含量至多是白色颜料的1wt-30wt%,优选3wt-25wt%。根据本发明使用的荧光增白剂的量经计算使得,基于白色颜料,荧光增白剂优选存在的量为0.01wt-2wt%,更优选0.05wt-1wt%,特别是0.05wt-0.6wt%。
在本发明的方法中使用的纸涂料组合物可以通过在10-100℃优选20-80℃的温度以任何期望的顺序混合各个组分制备。这里的所述组分还包括常规助剂例如粘合剂、共粘合剂、流变改性剂、水保留助剂、分散剂、湿强度剂和增效剂。此类助剂是例如天然粘合剂例如淀粉、酪蛋白、蛋白质或明胶,纤维素醚例如羧烷基纤维素或羟烷基纤维素,藻酸,藻酸盐,聚环氧乙烷或聚环氧乙烷烷基醚,环氧乙烷和环氧丙烷共聚物,聚乙烯醇,甲醛与脲或三聚氰胺的水溶性缩合产物,多磷酸盐或聚丙烯酸盐。
根据本发明方法使用的涂料组合物优选用于制造涂布的印刷或书写纸或特种纸例如喷墨纸或相纸,或纸板。
根据本发明方法使用的涂料组合物可以通过任何常规方法例如在施胶压榨,计量施胶压榨,中通过气刀、刮刀、辊、刮片或杆施加到基质上,或通过喷涂施加到基质上,此后,在70-200℃优选90-130℃的温度干燥涂层至残留含湿量为3-8%,例如使用红外干燥机和/或热空气干燥机。从而即使在低干燥温度也得到相对的高洁白度。
在另一个优选方面,本发明提供荧光增白纸表面的方法,包括在施胶压榨和计量施胶压榨中使纸与水溶液接触,所述水溶液含有胶料(size),任选无机或有机颜料和0.1-20g/l本发明的荧光增白剂组合物。优选地,胶料是淀粉、淀粉衍生物或合成施胶剂,特别是水溶性共聚物或其混合物。
在进一步优选的方法,本发明提供在纸形成期间荧光增白纸的方法,从而将FWA组合物直接加入纸浆堆中。在这种情况下,FWA组合物可以是溶液或分散体的形式,从而本发明FWA组合物的特别有价值之处在于它们的效果只是轻微被阳离子聚合物、固定剂、湿增强剂或脱墨助剂的存在抑制,所述助剂类似地在纸形成之前加入到纸浆堆中。此类助剂的例子可包括双氰胺缩合产物、聚乙烯基胺、聚乙烯亚胺、阳离子淀粉、聚DADMAC(二烯丙基二甲基氯化铵)、聚酰胺胺和聚环氧化合物。
本发明的另一个实施方案涉及纸,所述纸已经用本发明的荧光增白剂组合物处理。
本发明的组合物可以通过如下方法获得:在环境温度或升高的温度机械混合单独的组分a)、b)和任选的c)直到得到均匀的溶液或分散体。
本发明的荧光增白剂,组分a),是已知的化合物,或者可以用类似描述于例如GB 1183854中的已知方法制备。
本发明的组合物是特别有利地,因为它们不仅显示出极高的增白能力,而且在很多情况下显示出高度期望的水溶性和牢度性质。
通过使用本发明的方法,得到的涂层具有如下特征:荧光增白剂在整个表面上最优分布,得到增加的白度,对光和对高温的高牢度(例如在60-100℃温度达24小时)和优异的水渗出牢度。
下面的实施例是为了说明本发明,而不是限制本发明;份数和百分数是以重量计,除非另有说明。
实施例
实施例1-19
施胶压榨施加
向8wt%的商购部分降解的阴离子淀粉(PerfectamylA 4692;Avebe公司)溶液中加入足够的FWA水溶液或分散体以分别得到最终FWA浓度为3g/kg和6g/kg的溶液。
然后将得到的组合物在施胶压榨中施加到中等尺寸的木质纸上,所述纸没有FWA,基本重量为80g/m2,对组合物的吸收量基于纸重量为20%。
然后使用Datacolor Elrepho 3000分光光度计测量白度,Wcie。
结果总结于下表1中,其中FWA的结构如下式(II):

的常规FWA的相应值,Wcie,分别是109和110,因此证明本发明大部分组合物在饱和点和白度方面都具有显著改进。
Claims (10)
1.用于荧光增白纸的组合物,包含
a)衍生自4,4’-二[(1,3,5-三嗪-2-基)氨基]均二苯代乙烯-2,2’-二磺酸的荧光增白剂(FWA),特征在于一个或者两个三嗪环带有-NH2取代基;
b)水和
c)任选的其它助剂。
2.权利要求1的组合物,包含
5wt-50wt%FWA组分a),
50wt-95wt%水和
0wt-40wt%组分c),各自基于组合物总重量,其中组分a)-c)的和为100%。
3.权利要求1或2的组合物,其中所述荧光增白剂是式(I)化合物
其中
X1,X2和X3各自相互独立地代表-NR1R2或-OR3,其中R1和R2相互独立地是氢,C1-C4烷基,所述烷基是未取代的或是被一个或两个选自下面的基团取代:C1-C4烷氧基、羟基、羧基、氰基、碳酰胺基、硫醇、胍、取代或未取代的苯基、未取代或C1-C4烷基取代的C5-C8环烷基、卤素原子、杂环和磺酸基,并且其中具有2、3或4个碳原子的烷基的碳链可被氧中断,
或者,可选择的,
R1和R2与连接它们的氮原子一起形成5或6元杂环;
R3代表C1-C4烷基和
M代表H、Na、Li、K、Ca、Mg、铵或被C1-C4烷基和/或C2-C4羟基烷基单-、二-、三-或四取代的铵。
4.权利要求3的组合物,其中在式(I)化合物中,X1和X2相互独立地代表-NH2、-NHC1-C4烷基、-N(C1-C4烷基)2、-NHC2-C4羟基烷基、-N(C2-C4羟基烷基)2、-N(C1-C4烷基)(C2-C4羟基烷基)、-NH(C2-C4亚烷基-C1-C4烷氧基)、-N(C2-C4亚烷基-C1-C4烷氧基)2、-NHC1-C4烷基苯基、四氢糠基氨基、吗啉基、哌啶子基、吡咯烷基或环己基氨基或已经从其氨基上取掉氢原子的氨基酸或氨基酸酰胺基和
X3代表-NH2。
5.权利要求4的组合物,其中在式(I)化合物中,X1和X2都代表
-NH2,-NHC1-C2烷基,-N(C1-C2烷基)2,-NHCH2CH2OH,-N(CH2CH2OH)2,-N(C1-C2烷基)(CH2CH2OH),-NHCH2CH2OCH3,-N(CH2CH2OCH3)2,-NHCH2CH2-O-CH2CH2-OH,-N(CH2CH2-O-CH2CH2-OH),-NHCH2CO2M″,-N(CH3)CH2CO2M″,-NHCH2CH2CO2M″,-NHCH(CO2M″)CH2CH2CH2NHC(=NH)NH2,四氢糠基氨基、苄基氨基、环己基氨基、吡咯烷基或吗啉基,和
M″代表H、K、Na、铵或被C1-C4烷基和/或C2-C4羟基烷基单-、二-、三-或四取代的铵。
6.权利要求1-5任一项的组合物在纸浆堆、在涂布或在计量施胶压榨或薄膜压榨中荧光增白纸的用途。
7.权利要求6的用途,其在涂布或在计量施胶压榨或薄膜压榨中荧光增白纸的用途。
8.权利要求6和7的用途,其在计量施胶压榨或薄膜压榨中荧光增白纸的用途。
9.通过用权利要求1-5任一项的组合物进行处理来荧光增白纸的方法。
10.纸,其已经用权利要求1-5任一项的组合物增白。
