                         技术领域
本发明涉及住家和办公室过滤水中污染物用并设有一个或多个过滤器隔层的水处理系统使用的一种可移走的盖板组合件。

                         背景技术
本发明要减少或克服与以前的水处理系统(WTS)单元的住家或办公室使用站有关的一些问题。这种WTS单元通常包括一个过滤器,用来去除水中的污染物,或一个电磁辐射源如紫外灯(UV灯)用来杀死水中的细菌或使它失活。过滤器或UV灯被封闭在流体处理室内。通常这种流体处理室设有可移走的盖板以便在WTS操作时防止流体从室内溅出,并使用户能够接近过滤器或UV灯。
许多WTS单元遇到的第一个问题是流体处理室的盖板难于装卸,特别是当盖板依靠螺纹连接和O形环密封时更是如此。这种盖板与流体处理室结合构成封闭的压力容器,在WTS操作时其内安置着过滤器或UV灯。过滤器的直径通常较大以便增加过滤器的容量和预期寿命。类似地,流体处理室和室盖板的直径也必须较大以便容纳过滤器。较大的直径在室和室盖板之间造成较大的接触表面,需用较大的力才能使盖板从流体处理室上移走。
某些过滤器只需一年更换一次,以致O形环长时间被压缩在流体处理室和盖板之间。在这时间内O形环材料会粘结或沉陷在邻接的密封表面上。因此在移走盖板时需要有很大的分解力才能克服这种沉陷。
过滤器的盖板和流体处理室通常都由塑料制成,在它们之间的传统的螺纹连接常会“焊接”在一起,这个现象被称为咬住。这个“焊接”作用部分是由于过滤器的更换期长,同时也由于WTS单元是在湿润而温暖的环境下操作。
某些WTS单元包括有UV(紫外)灯用来杀死要被处理的水内的细菌。这种UV灯通常都连续操作。在水还没有通过WTS单元运行足够多的时间如过夜时,从UV灯和其他电路产生的热会在内部积聚起来并将存储在流体处理室内的水的温度提高。这样造成的升高的温度会使塑料蠕变并使盖板和处理室的螺纹连接“焊接”在一起,或使O形环沉陷到邻接的表面内。可能需要相当大的力才能将螺纹间的“焊接”或O形环的沉陷分裂开而将盖板从处理室上释放出来。这种型式的过滤器盖板的一例曾在美国专利6,120,691号中公开过。
另外,某些WTS单元使用以卡口安装的流体处理室盖板。这种安装型式存在的问题是,为了将盖板安装到流体处理室上,盖板必须准确地对准WTS流体处理隔开。而且即使使用卡口安装,在盖板O形环密封件和流体处理壳体之间仍有相当大的接头接触面积。同样,可能需要相当大的力才能使长久连续在一起的盖板从流本处理室上分离。这种型式的盖板的一例在美国专利5,344,558号中公开过,其主要内容被本文参考引用。
最后,某些WTS单元依靠凸轮装置,在盖板上设有带凸轮的水平锁紧叶片,而在流体处理室上设有相应的凹槽。可以使用一个装有杆系和凸轮的提升手柄在操作WTS时使锁紧叶片伸入到室上相应的凹槽内,并可用来使锁紧叶片退回而将盖板移走以便接近过滤器。这种型式的盖板组合件需要较复杂的杆系和流体处理室的设计以资在盖板和流体处理室之间实际密封。这种型式的盖板机构在美国专利6,245,229号中示出,其内容被本文完整地参考引用。
本发明包括的设计和特点可以克服或至少减少上面列出的以前的水处理系统的盖板机构所遇到的许多问题。
                       本发明的概述
本发明包括一种水处理系统(WTS)用的独特的盖板组合件,该组合件能容易而迅速地固定到WTS的流体处理室上并从其上卸下。本发明的盖板组合件提供一个连结在盖板上的桶柄,该桶柄利用机械效益,形式最好为枢支的手柄,它将多个凸轮抵压在WTS的表面上,从而裂开在盖板组合件和WTS流体处理室之间的密封,提升盖板使它离开流体处理室。

本发明并不将其应用限于在其附图和说明所阐明的部件的构造和配置的细节。为便于阐明,本发明的盖板组合件的实施例将就一水处理系统(WTS)进行说明,更具体点说,就依靠炭基过滤器来过滤颗粒并去除某些污染物、并依靠紫外(UV)灯来杀死水中的细菌的WTS进行说明。虽然根据这个具体情况来说明,但业内人士当会知道,本发明在权利要求书限定的范围内,还能以各种方式来实施。
