Abstract

背景技术
诸如PDA和手机中的个人信息管理器通常维护联系人列表。这些联系人列表存储关于每个联系人的包括诸条目的信息，诸如姓名、职务、公司名、工作电话、家庭电话、传真号码、手机号码、电子邮箱地址、网页等等。联系人列表可变得很长。例如，某些联系人列表可包括大公司的每个员工。在这些联系人列表中找出联系人是困难的。在计算机上查找其它条目也是困难的。例如，在大文件系统内找出文件夹，或在文件中查找一个字段是困难的。所需要的是一种方法，用以轻松访问在设备上新近使用的联系人和条目。
发明内容
本发明涉及使用户有能力轻松访问新近使用条目的显示条目的方法和系统。
根据本发明的一方面，新近条目显示最近所使用的条目。被追踪的新近条目可包括诸如通信、联系人、文件夹、文件、消息、应用等等的条目。
根据本发明的另一方面，新近条目列表包括尝试与存储在设备中的相应联系人相匹配的往来通信联系。
根据本发明的另一方面，当新近条目是联系人时，用户可用任何通信方法回复。例如，用户可通过电话和电子邮件回复、发送即时消息、发送SMS消息等等。

具体实施方式
本发明涉及使用户有能力轻松访问新近使用条目的显示条目的方法和系统。条目的结合列表被如此显示从而使一个条目仅在新近列表中显示一次。
说明性操作环境
参照图1，用来实现本发明的一示例性系统包括诸如计算装置100的计算装置。在非常基本的配置中，计算装置100通常包括至少一个处理单元102和系统存储器104。取决于计算装置的准确配置和类型，系统存储器104可以是易失的(诸如RAM)、非易失的(诸如ROM、闪存等等)、或两者的某些组合。系统存储器104通常包括操作系统105、一个或多个应用程序106，也可包括程序数据107。在一实施例中，应用程序106可包括同步应用程序120。该基本配置在图1中由虚线108内的那些组件示出。

一个或多个应用程序266被装入存储器262并在操作系统264上运行。新近条目应用程序驻留在移动计算装置200中，并被编程以提供有关新近访问条目的操作。新近条目应用程序可驻留于装置的硬件或软件中。移动计算装置200还可包括存储器262中的非易失存储器268。可使用非易失存储器268来存储即使移动计算装置200断电也不应丢失的永久信息。
移动计算装置200包括可实现为一个或多个电池的电源270。电源270还可包括诸如AC适配器的外部电源或对电池供电或充电的充电器。
如图所示移动计算装置200具有两种类型的任选外部通知机制：LED 240和音频接口274。这些装置可直接与电源270耦合，从而当被激活时，即使处理器260和其它组件都会关闭以节约电池电源，它们会保持工作由通知机制所指示的一段时间。音频接口274被用来向用户提供可听信号，并从用户处接收可听信号。例如，音频接口274可与扬声器耦合用来提供可听输出，并可与话筒耦合用来接收可听输入，比如进行电话对话。
移动计算装置200还包括执行传送和接收通信功能的通信连接、无线接口层272。无线接口层272便于移动计算装置200与外部世界的无线连接。根据一实施例，在操作系统264的控制下进行无线接口层272的往返传送。换言之，可经操作系统264把由无线接口层272接收的通信传播到应用程序266，反之亦然。

图3示出了根据本发明诸方面表示新近被访问联系人的示例性新近条目列表。根据一实施例，新近项目列表包括往来电话。其它新近访问条目也可被包括在相同列表或单独列表中。例如，新近条目列表可包括新近访问的文件夹、文件、应用程序等等。新近条目列表也可包括新近使用的任何通信形式。例如，新近条目列表可包括往来电子邮件、IM消息、SMS消息等等。
参照新近条目列表300，新近联系人有图标位于联系人信息的左侧，表示该联系是外出或是进来。根据一实施例，外出电话由外出图标305表示，而进来电话由进来图标310表示。对通信或访问条目的其它形式可使用其它图标。当新近条目是通信形式时，尝试使往来号码与存储在用户联系人中的相应联系人相匹配(见315和320)。当号码与联系人名字不匹配时，电话号码显示在新近列表中(见305和310)。
根据本发明一实施例，新近条目列表限定为预定数量的条目。例如，在一实施例中，新近条目列表限制在四十，约为在PDA上的五个屏幕的信息。根据另一实施例，新近列表中的数量可由用户调整。或者，可将新近条目保留预定一段时间。为了有助于从其它条目中辨别新近条目，该条目在列表中的背景色要比联系人列表中显示的条目略深一些。
新近条目列表(300)被如此生成从而一个诸如新近联系人的新近条目在新近条目列表中仅显示一次。根据一实施例，除了在新近联系人列表中显示联系人列表，也在用户联系人列表中显示联系人。根据一实施例，标记为保密的联系人不在新近联系列表中显示。
新近条目列表首先显示最近的条目，随后是下一最近条目，等等。根据一实施例，当天的新近联系显示这些联系的时间，而往日的新近联系显示这些联系的日期。参照新近条目列表300，可以看到最近的联系是4:15PM时的电话305，下一最近联系是1:30PM时的电话310，随后是往日的电话。根据一实施例，可设置将新近条目保留在列表中的时间。例如，可限制条目在新近条目列表中保留两天。
尽管根据一实施例所示电话号码被显示在新近条目列表中，用户可通过选择所需通信方法在认为合适时可改变显示在新近条目列表中的联系方法。例如，当选择联系人315时，用户可改变所示的联系方法。例如，可改变联系方法为家庭电话或电子邮件地址(如果存在)。如果新近条目列表中的号码不同，标准联系列表中的联系缺省号码会改变。
根据另一实施例，新近条目列表可基于该条目被频繁访问或通信的程度来生成，而不是基于最近使用的条目。例如，最常用的条目与被最频繁访问的条目一起被列在列表顶端。另外，新近条目列表可使用频率信息和最近访问时间的组合来生成。例如，用户可调整设定，表示他们想要预定时间段内最常用的条目。
图4示出了根据本发明诸方面，使用显示的标题栏来指示新近条目(通信)的电话时间。如图所示，电话415被加亮，且电话(410)时间显示在标题栏(420)中。如图所示，新近电话也在标记联系人405(pinned contacts)之下示出。通常，标记联系人405被指定为应当在任何其它联系人之前显示的重要联系人的联系人。新近电话下面显示的是标准联系人(425)。
图5示出的是根据本发明诸方面的示例性新近电话菜单。
联系人列表500包括标记联系人505，随后是新近联系人510和标准联系人515。新近电话菜单(520)有标准联系人不能用的选项。例如，新近电话菜单(520)包括去除电话(530)(Remove Call)选项和用来存储电话选项来存储(525)(Save)未知电话，且菜单不说删除而是“去除电话”。用户也可创建新的联系人、创建标记联系人、将联系人发送到另一设备、查看该联系人的电话记录、以及改变查看或访问工具。

新近电话的情景菜单(610)包括许多不同选项，包括：Pin(给联系人加标记)；Call Work(打工作电话)、Call Home(打家庭电话)、Call Mobile(打手机)、SendEmail(发送电子邮件)、Add to Speed Dial(添加到快速拨打)、Delete Contact(删除联系人)、Beam Contact(发送邮件给联系人)、并Send SMS(发送SMS消息)(参见示例615)。
菜单615中提供有发送邮件给联系人菜单选项。当选择该选项时，发送新近电话将发送邮件给相关联联系人。如果该电话是未知电话，则被发送邮件给联系人的名字为“未知电话”且收到的号码将被存储在该联系人中。
类似地，如果新近条目无相关联联系人名字，则为其开发的归纳卡(summarycard)在卡中插入号码，并让用户能将该电话存储为联系电话。
图7示出了根据本发明诸方面用来显示新近电话的选项。用户可能不愿意显示其新近电话(710)。当用户不想在联系人查看列表(725)中显示其新近电话时，他们可通过切换Recent Calls(新近电话)菜单条(715)来关闭该特征。关闭新近电话的查看不影响新近列表的组成。当在Recent Calls选项上打勾时，新近电话(710)在查看列表中显示。
图8示出了根据本发明诸方面创建新近条目列表。开始框后，过程移到方框810以确定新近条目。尽管以上示例说明了新近条目为通信，新近条目可以是设备上用户可访问的任何条目。例如，用户访问文件系统中的文件或文件夹。用户也可访问文件中的字段，例如，用户可访问联系人中的手机号码字段。用户也可访问应用。

基于对新近条目的访问确定所述条目；当所述条目有相关联联系人时，使所述新近条目关联于联系人列表中所保存的联系人；
将所述新近条目置入包括所有新近被访问条目的新近条目列表中；
生成所述新近条目列表使所述新近条目仅在所述新近条目列表中显示一次；
以及
显示所述新近条目列表。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，确定所述新近条目还包括确定关联于通信的时间。

20.如权利要求18所述的计算机可读介质，其特征在于，还包括通过使用任何可用通信方法回复所述新近条目。
21.如权利要求18所述的计算机可读介质，其特征在于，基于对条目的访问确定所述新近条目还包括确定何时通信是保密通信，并在是保密通信时将通信标记为非新近条目。
22.如权利要求19所述的计算机可读介质，其特征在于，还包括当所述新近条目被加亮时，在联系人窗口的标题栏中显示访问条目的时间。
23.如权利要求18所述的计算机可读介质，其特征在于，还包括基于设定关闭所述新近条目列表的显示。
