发明背景
1.发明领域
本发明总地涉及用于查看广播频道的设备和方法,更具体地,涉及用于查看在视频服务器上以降低的质量捕获且在设备上接收以便查看的广播频道的设备和方法,其中该设备优选地是无线通信设备。
2.现有技术
在本领域中,已经知道在电视中使用“画中画”(PIP)特性来给予观众一种在查看另一个广播频道的同时观看一个广播频道的能力。典型地,具有PIP特性的电视机需要两个调谐器,一个调谐器显示所观看的主广播频道,以及第二个调谐器用于显示被查看的另一个广播频道。通常,来自第二调谐器的显示内容在电视屏幕的一小部分中被显示。

发明概要

因此,提供了一种用于查看广播频道的方法。该方法包括:在第一站点处以比它的广播质量降低的质量捕获至少一个广播频道;在第二站点处接收该至少一个降低质量的广播频道,该第二站点远离该第一站点;以及在该第二站点处查看该至少一个降低质量的广播频道。

优选实施例详细描述

一旦通过web浏览器114接入互联网地址,用户就可通过浏览器114选择观看在互联网地址104处可提供的任何广播频道。而且,可被浏览的广播频道是不限于本地的,这与只能捕获由本地业务提供者提供的节目的PIP相反。
通过本发明的系统100可以观看单个广播频道,如图2A的显示器122上显示的,或用户可通过在接收机显示器122上缓慢改变的频道的多个“简略图”126同时观看多个广播频道,如图2B所示。作为另一个替换例,浏览器114可循环通过预定的喜爱的广播频道,在每个频道停留几秒钟,或在循环到下一个频道之前等待用户的提示。
