Abstract

本发明涉及一种数据卡,诸如具有磁性轨迹或集成电路的卡。这种数据卡例如用作信用卡或电话卡,或另外用作识别或操作卡等。
背景技术
数据卡一般包括热塑材料支撑的卡体,该材料对波长在可见范围,即400和800nm之间的电磁辐射不透明。这些卡也包括诸如磁性轨迹或集成电路的数据存储介质,在其中可以存储数据,或者数据可以借助于已知类型的读取器从其中读出。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种数据卡,其外表美观并可以用在广泛用途中。
为此目的,本发明提供了一种如权利要求1所述的数据卡。
本发明使得该数据卡在人眼观察时为透明的。透明数据卡由于美观原因会吸引大多数消费者。从而,数据卡的透明可以成为卖点。
然而,读取器或者通过接触机械探测卡的存在,或是由于读取器发出的光束被卡阻挡而光学探测卡的存在。
透明材料制成的卡通常仅能够借助于触针(feeler pin)探测。因此,它们在光学探测的读取器中不可用,从而,它们的应用局限在小范围用途中,只能够借助于机械探测型读取器完成。
根据本发明,卡体包括在长度和宽度方面与卡体大致尺寸相同的过滤层,过滤层对于包括人眼可观察到的电磁辐射在内的波长范围内的电磁辐射基本透明,过滤层对于其他波长范围内的电磁辐射基本不透明。
从而,根据本发明的数据卡通过向卡体辐射适当波长的电磁辐射来光学探测,其中该数据卡对于这种辐射是不透明的。进一步的优点在于根据本发明的数据卡可以用在光学探测卡的存在的大量读取器中。用于探测卡的光束的位置彼此不同,根据本发明,在长度和宽度方面,过滤层具有基本上与卡体相一致的尺寸,因此,根据本发明的卡可以与所涉及的读取器中的光束位置无关地探测到。
优选地是,过滤层对于波长范围大致从800到1000nm的电磁辐射不透明。优选地是,过滤层包括至少一个银基子层(sub-layer),以及一个针对可见范围内的电磁辐射的抗反射子层,抗反射子层优选地由氧化钛制成。

参照该图,根据本发明的卡包括总地以附图标记1标示的卡体,在此,该卡体包括多个层,它们由对波长在可见范围内的电磁辐射透明的材料制成。
从而,卡体1包括核心层2,其例如由聚乙烯或聚氯乙稀制成,并具有两个相对的表面2.1和2.2。
在核心层2的表面2.1上,延伸用保护涂层4覆盖的装饰层3。
装饰层3例如由聚氯乙稀、丙稀腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯、或聚碳酸酯制成,并以本身公知的方式通过丝网印刷的胶印(offset-printing)淀积。
保护涂层4例如通过经胶印或丝网印刷树脂漆或通过层叠聚氯乙烯片来形成。
在核心层2表面2.2的顶部,延伸有过滤层5,该过滤层对于波长在可见范围之外的电磁辐射不透明,更具体的说,对于波长在近红外范围内,即800和1000nm之间的电磁辐射不透明。过滤层5在长度和宽度方面具有与卡体相同的尺寸。即,过滤层具有主表面,其尺寸大致与卡体主表面的尺寸一致。
过滤层5包括银基子层6,其设置在两个用于可见电磁辐射的抗反射子层7之间。在此,每个抗反射子层由氧化钛制成。抗反射层也可以由其他类型的金属氧化物制成。过滤层5通过一个接一个冷溅射(cold sputtering)各个子层6、7而真空淀积到核心层2上。过滤层5厚度为100nm数量级,而银基子层6厚度为10nm数量级。各个子层的厚度优选地调节成过滤层对可见范围内的电磁辐射提供50到60%左右的最小透射率,或甚至是70%,而对近红外范围内的电磁辐射提供10%的最大透射率。
装饰层8借助于粘结层9固定到过滤层5上。装饰层8由与装饰层3相同的材料和相同的方式制成。粘结层9改善装饰层8与过滤层5的固定强度,其粘附特性小于核心层2的粘附特性。
装饰层8用保护涂层10覆盖,该保护涂层10由与保护涂层4相同的材料和方式制成。
当然,本发明不局限于上述实施例,而在所附权利要求书限定的本发明范围内可以作出各种变化。
尤其是,可以改变银基子层和抗反射子层的数量,以便增大或减小过滤层透射电磁辐射的能力。通常,过滤层将包括N个银基子层和N+1个抗反射层,N为大于0的整数(N=1、2、3、4...)。
另外,其他材料可以用于在过滤层中形成子层。这种材料的选择将具体根据所需的电磁辐射透射能力、过滤层5应该针对其不透明的波长范围。在这个方面,卡体可以包括对紫外和原红外范围等内的电磁辐射不透明的过滤层。另一方面涉及构成过滤层的各种材料之间以及与卡体内相邻层的粘附特性。
过滤层可以对仅仅覆盖人眼可见波长范围(400和800nm之间)一部分的波长范围内的电磁辐射透明,例如,过滤层可以透过400和600nm之间范围内的电磁辐射,在该情况下,透明度将带有一定的颜色。所涉及的过滤层可以阻挡例如在700和900nm之间范围内的电磁辐射。从而,人眼可观察到的波长750nm的电磁辐射可以用于光学探测卡的存在。
最后,应指出的是过滤层可以构成卡体(单层结构)。过滤层之外的各层(如果存在的话)可以由上述实施例中所用材料不同的材料构成,所要考虑的是这些层对特定范围透明,从而数据卡由人眼看来可以透明,其带有或不带有特定颜色。
Claims (6)
1.一种包括嵌于卡体内的数据存储介质的数据卡,其特征在于,卡体包括过滤层(5),该过滤层在长度和宽度方面具有基本与卡体相同的尺寸,过滤层对包括人眼可见的电磁辐射的波长范围内的电磁辐射透明,过滤层对其他波长范围的电磁辐射基本不透明。
2.如权利要求1所述的数据卡,其特征在于,过滤层(5)对与红外辐射相关的波长范围内的电磁辐射基本不透明。
3.如权利要求2所述的数据卡,其特征在于,过滤层(5)包括银基子层(6),该子层夹在两个抗反射子层(7)之间。
4.如权利要求3所述的数据卡,其特征在于,抗反射子层(7)由氧化钛制成。
5.如权利要求4所述的数据卡,其特征在于,过滤层(5)具有包括在150nm和250nm之间范围内的厚度。
6.如权利要求3所述的数据卡,其特征在于,所述银基子层(6)具有包括在5和15nm范围内的厚度。
