发明领域
本发明涉及一种输入器件,其可以用数字处理器来生成多媒体信息。具体地说,本发明涉及用于多媒体控制台的多功能附件,用于将输入信息提供给数字处理器和音乐设备,以创作多媒体作品(multimedia work product)。
发明背景
诸如键盘和鼠标的输入器件在个人电脑业界是众所皆知的,其可以向数字电脑提供文字和命令,从而创作多媒体作品。尽管业界最初是把这类输入器件做为分立附件而面市的,但是随着因特网的到来和多媒体信息的要求,促使输入器件制造商拓展孤立输入器件的能力,以适应多媒体作品创作者的需求。
与此同时,音乐界从模拟主导的世界衍变为数字世界:音乐合成器和作曲程序极大地推动了来自音乐界的音乐成果的原创。因特网的普及和认可无疑加剧了这一过程。
在新加坡专利申请第200001593-3里,本发明的申请人公开了一种集成多媒体控制台,用来帮助多媒体作品的原创并向用户提供人机工程学优点(ergonomic benefit),同时该控制台被做为输入器件与中央处理器一同使用。
尽管新加坡专利申请第200001593-3的媒多媒体控制台提供了键盘乐器(诸如钢琴、风琴或键盘琴)的理想仿真,但是诸如吉他或五弦琴之类的弦乐器卻难以模仿。
发明目的
本发明旨在将弦乐器输入功能加入单一输入器件中。
本发明亦旨在将文字/命令和广泛的音乐输入功能合并至集成键盘中,以用于帮助多媒体作品的原创。
本发明还旨在当无需音乐输入功能时使其禁止,并为本发明的用户提供人机工程学优点。
发明内容
说明了一种多媒体控制台,其合并了字母键盘、音乐键台和弦乐器模块,当与数字个人电脑连接或做为孤立音乐设备选用时,用来创作多媒体作品。当无需音乐键台功能时,手掌垫罩将音乐键台的顶面区域转换人机工程学支撑,用于支撑用户的手。弦乐模块鼓励个人电脑用户和乐器演奏者之类有效而经济地创作原始多媒体作品。

图1是本发明的现有技术实施例的平面俯视图,其手掌垫罩(palmrest cover)被揭开了,露出了音乐键台的顶面。

具体实施方式
图1是申请人的多媒体控制台的平面俯视图,在2000年3月20日所提交的新加坡专利申请第200001593-3里已做了说明。多媒体控制台5包括机壳10,用来接纳键盘20、音乐键台30、定点设备40和防护罩60。在优选实施例里,键盘20是扩展的标准的传统键盘,其具有一套完整的字母键(alphanumetic key)和一套功能键。基本上平行于键盘20并在其下方放置的是音乐键台30,其与控制台5集成。定点设备40可以是触摸板或鼠标,用来在机载显示器(图中未示出)、或数字个人电脑的显示屏上导引光标。
当不使用音乐键台30时,用户可以将防护罩60放在整个音乐键盘30上。此罩60不仅充当键台30的手掌垫,还为用户提供了此防护罩的人机工程学优点。本领域技术人员应该明白:长期不间断地使用键盘20可能造成用户手指和手掌的心理上的变化。
再次参考图1,定点设备40同样被集成为多媒体控制台的一部份。这里,键盘20的字母键盘和定点设备40的间距保持最小。由此用户可以最佳地控制多媒体作品的谱写过程。本领域的技术人员应该明白:定点设备可以是鼠标、触摸板或等价的附件,用来控制显示屏(未示出)上的光标的方向和命令。
再次参考图1,将多个卡口50有意地置于机壳10的侧面,用以固定在紧固带(strap)(未示出)上。此紧固带帮助音乐人或用户把多媒体控制台扛在自己的肩上,从而用音乐键台创作音乐信号。
虽未示出,但本领域的技术人员明白:在多媒体控制台5和处理器单元(图中未示出)之间有链接。如上所简述,处理器可以是数字信号处理器或专用处理器或嵌入式芯片。链接可以是内部的,也可以是基于诸如PS2或通用串行总线(USB)的现有工业标准的线缆结合MIDI。在别的例子中,本发明的多媒体控制台可以具有无线链路,比如红外或射频。
凭借多媒体控制台5,多媒体内容的作者和原创或乃至个人电脑的日常用户皆可创作多媒体作品(比如在新的现场的网页应用应用),而无需传统的专用设备了。由此多媒体作品的原创周期可被大幅缩减。本发明的多媒体控制台5带有拨动开关(未示出)的禁止音乐键台30的灵活性。可选地,当无需键台30时,防护罩60可分离地置于键台30的顶面上。防护罩60也向用户提供人机工程学支撑。
尽管多媒体控制台5是多媒体作品的原创的合适伴侣,但是能够演奏的乐器范围卻很有限。例如,音乐键台30可以仿真钢琴或风琴演奏者的击键。然而,用多媒体控制台5难以模仿诸如吉他或五弦琴之类的弦乐器。
图2是本发明实施例的右侧局部放大视图,突出了尚未与多媒体控制台连接的弦乐模块。弦乐器模块包括附件模块80和机壳90,其可分离地连接接口插槽65,此处原本是由定点设备占用的,见申请人的新加坡专利申请第200001593-3。现在该处是由附件罩45和接口插槽65取代了定点设备。在接口插槽65里置有至少一个电气接口,用于附件模块80。
还是图2,附件模块80还包括基本上彼此平行排列的多条琴弦82。弦的震动被送至模拟-数字转换器84(图中未示出,但是可理解为嵌入在模块里或在机身10里)。来自附件模块80的电气信号经导线86由电气接口70传输至控制台。在整个组件与接口插槽65相连接之前,附件机壳90掩盖住附件模块80。
图3是本发明改进型多媒体控制台100的平面俯视图,示出了与其连接的弦乐器机壳90。弦乐器机壳90置于易于用户够着的位置,从而像任何吉他演奏者或五弦琴的演奏者皆可弹拨琴弦82。当然,先要从接口插槽65上揭开附件罩45,然后附件机壳90方可与改进型多媒体控制台相连接。
本发明亦可以别的具体形式实现,而不脱离其中的精神和本质特征。因此,此处公开的实施例完全应该被认为是说明性的而不是限制性的,因此,本发明包括所附权利要求确定的发明范围和落入等价于权利要求的意义和范围内的全部变化。

Claims (7)

1.一种改进型多媒体控制台,包括:
至少一个键盘,用来输入字母信息;
至少一个附件模块,用来仿真弦乐器;和
至少一个音乐键台,用来创作非弦乐信号,
所述键盘和所述音乐键台被集成进来,用于帮助创作多媒作品。
2.根据权利要求1的改进型多媒体控制台,其中所述附件模块与所述控制台可分离地相连接。
3.根据权利要求1的多媒体控制台,其中,当无需使用所述音乐键台时,所述音乐键台与防护罩可分离地相连接,以提供人机工程学支撑。
4.一种改进型多媒体控制台,包括:
至少一个键盘,用来输入字母信息;
至少一个附件模块,用来仿真弦乐器;
至少一个音乐键台,用来创作音乐信号;和
至少一个手掌垫罩,当无需使用所述音乐键台时,与所述音乐键台可分离地连接,
所述键盘和所述音乐键台被集成进来,用来帮助创作多媒体作品。
5.根据权利要求4的改进型多媒体控制台,其中所述附件模块与所述控制台可分离地相连接。
6.根据权利要求4的多媒体控制台,其中,当需使用所述音乐键台时,所述音乐键台与防护罩可分离地相连接,用来提供人机工程学支撑。
7.根据权利要求4的改进型多媒体控制台,其中,所述底部机壳还具有多个卡口,用来在此固定至少一个紧固带,从而允许用户把所述控制台扛在自己的肩上。
