Abstract

背景技术
移动电话和相似的通信装置在用途和功能上迅速扩展。除电话通信外,这种装置将会很快提供因特网访问、个人信息管理、传真、发送消息的功能。为实现这些,需要提供一种与移动装置适应的更复杂的应用相兼容的键盘。在维持移动装置需要的紧凑尺寸的同时难于提供诸如标准的键和按钮的QWERTY打字阵列的全功能键盘。当今市场上的这种装置十分笨重,而且用户常常需要一个单独的皮带套来随身携带。另外,必须在屏幕显示器上协调来适应各种功能。
本发明的一目的是提供一种简单并便宜的装置来提供一种全功能键盘,以满足与移动通信装置相适应的急速增长的应用。
发明内容
个人手持计算机装置提供了一紧凑的全功能键盘,它允许用户把该单元放在他或她的手掌上,用姆指操作键盘上的键。为实现这一点,该装置通常构造成一个平的大致为矩形的单元,其具有顶部操作表面。一个显示器屏幕在操作表面上中心放置,把该表面分成左、右面板。左、右面板用于容纳键盘。每一个面板构造成带有一键阵列,在标准Qwerty(英文标准键盘)样式的键盘的情况下,这些键布置在屏幕的每一侧以提供一个全键盘。该键盘相应地分成两个基本相同的阵列,布置在屏幕的每一侧。该装置的尺寸足够以允许键的方便的间隔,同时维持用户使用姆指进行操作的可接近性。

具体实施方式
一种移动通信装置提供全功能的键盘。为说明起见,本发明参考移动电话说明,但是它可以应用于其它装置,诸如寻呼机、游戏机等。如图3a所示,移动电话1构造成具有一个电话主体2。主体2包括一个屏幕3,它提供一个显示器,其用于随用户的动作而响应,以与用户相通有关信息。移动电话1具有两个面板5和6,它们安装在主体2上。在图3中,所示的面板5作为一个单独的部件固定在主体2上,但是它也可以与主体2一体地构造。面板6可围绕在图1和2中所示的轴线x-x在主体2上转动。
在第一位置,称为闭合位置,面板6转动成与面板5重叠对齐,如图3a所示。转动面板6具有两个相面对的平的面7和8。面7是当面板6处于闭合位置时的内面,而面8是处于闭合位置时的外面。在该优选实施例中,面8包括一个当移动电话1严格在通信模式下操作时使用的标准的电话键板9。在闭合位置,该装置作为标准操作的移动电话进行操纵,屏幕3的显示器取向成与键板9对齐。
为提供本发明的优选实施例的全功能键盘,用于特定应用的键和按钮阵列12分成两半,并布置在左、右键盘部分10和11。为方便键盘的操作,设计为用两手的姆指致动。这使得用两只手方便地保持这一小装置,并且准确高效地操作键盘部分10和11。
如图3a中清楚表示,左手的键盘部分10构造在电话键板9的相对侧的转动面板6的面7上。右手的键盘部分11在面板5的上表面13上构造。后盖安装在面板5的面14上。为保证面板5与6在闭合位置紧密接合,在相对面板的面7和13上的键阵列12的位置发生偏移,以避免在闭合位置时出现干涉。
为操作键盘阵列12,面板6转动大约180°至打开位置,以形成具有由屏幕3分为右和左键盘部分的基本平的单元,如图2所示。通过用无论哪只手拿着左或右手部分,这样展开的键盘可以使用姆指方便地操作。在打开位置,面板6的外面8取向成背离用户。
根据使用模式,屏幕3的显示器4受控以取向为两个位置。在闭合位置,显示器4取向成与键板9对齐,而在打开位置,显示器4与阵列12的功能键对齐。如图3b和3c所示,显示器的取向为:在移动电话模式和全功能模式之间转动90°,在移动电话模式中面板6处于闭合位置,在全功能模式中面板6处于打开位置。这通过提供一个面板位置指示器15实现,它在面板6打开或闭合时给控制单元16发信号。控制单元16可以是一个微处理器、显示驱动器或包括硬件或软件的其它装置。这可以自动的,或可由用户通过手动按钮操作。控制单元16给显示器控制器17发信号,根据需要确定显示器的位置方向。另外,在打开位置,键板9通过电话键板锁18锁定在不操作模式中。
在图5所示的另一个替代实施例中,提供一个游戏控制器键板以代替键盘。该游戏键盘由分别构造在面板5和6中的动作功能按钮19和移动功能键板20组成。电话键板9构造在面板6的背面,如上所述。作为另一个替代实施例,该装置可以设计成没有通信能力而只用作游戏单元。
以这种模式,提供一个用于移动通信装置的相关操作的简单并紧凑的键盘。应该注意,可以使用其它键阵列,诸如法语的标准键盘(AZERTY)或德语的标准键盘(QWERTZ(U))。该装置对作为由游戏软件或固件驱动的基于微处理器的游戏单元也十分有用。
替代实施例
上述键盘阵列对于其它应用也十分有用,并不一定必须与移动通信装置关联。对于作为诸如个人信息管理器的计算机装置等应用,全功能的标准键盘对于小型装置提供了方便的接入访问,而克服现有技术中相似装置的不便。
在这一实施例中,装置30由一个薄的平面取向的封装壳形成,该封装壳包含一个处理器和其它部件,该部件适合本装置为之设计的目的。封装壳30由顶板32和后盖33结合形成,顶板提供了装置的操作表面,后盖确定封装壳的剩余的底部和侧壁。显示屏幕34安装在顶板32的中心位置。标准键盘分成左和右部分35和36,如图6和7所示。部分35和36放置在顶板32上的显示屏幕34的两侧。每一部分包括一个以熟悉的布置模式定位的键阵列37。可以使用适应本装置的特定目的或应用的其它类型的键盘。通过在任一只手中拿着左手或右手部分,可以方便地使用姆指操作键盘。按照此处描述布置的全功能键盘提供了方便而高效的使用,对于所有的键没有明显的相互影响。

Claims (4)

1.一种在多种应用中用于操作的电子装置,其包括:
具有顶盖的封装壳,该顶盖提供该装置的操作表面;
在所述操作表面的中心位置处构造的屏幕,以向使用者提供可见的信息显示,所述屏幕将该操作表面分成左面板和右面板;和
构造成两部分的功能键盘,第一部分在所述左面板中构造,而第二部分在所述右面板中构造,每个所述功能键盘部分具有与所选择的功能一致的键阵列,其中,所述功能键盘暴露出,以便使用者进行操作接合。
2.如权利要求1所述的在多种应用中用于操作的电子装置,其特征在于,所述功能键盘包括一全功能的标准键盘的键阵列,其分为所述第一部分和第二部分。
3.一种用于个人计算机装置中的功能键盘,所述计算机装置具有一操作表面和一用于向使用者显示信息的屏幕,所述屏幕将所述操作表面分成左面板和右面板,所述键盘包括:
安装在所述左面板上的第一键阵列;
安装在所述右面板上的第二键阵列,并且
其中,所述左阵列和右阵列定位成,当该装置保持在使用者手中时,允许通过使用姆指对其进行操作。
4.如权利要求3所述的用于个人计算机装置中的功能键盘,其特征在于,所述计算机装置具有一操作表面和一用于向使用者显示信息的屏幕,所述屏幕将所述操作表面分成左面板和右面板,所述功能键盘包括一全功能的标准键盘的键阵列,其分为所述左面板和右面板。
