发明背景
在布料相交区域有缝合接缝的防水外衣和其它防水织物组件的制造中,用一接缝带来密封该接缝通常是较为有利的。如果没有施加这种密封,接缝会破坏防水完整性,因而这显得尤为必要。本发明尤其可用于由Gore-Tex布基层压物制成的防水外衣的接缝密封,但也可通用于任何用来保持连接的织物或普通布基层压物的防水性能的完整性的密封操作。

具体说,由Gore-Tex布基层压物制成的防水外衣是用Gore-Seam密封机施行密封操作来进行制造的,但其它制造者也可以制造和使用具有类似功能的机器。为了在用这种机器制造时确保接缝有恒定的质量,将喷嘴精确地定位于最佳位置,使热气流均匀地施加于接缝带而使粘合剂均匀熔化,这是非常重要的,这样,使每次都能产生优良的密封。通常,位置精度要求已通过使用在三个自由度(竖直方向、第一水平方向、基本垂直于第一水平方向的第二水平方向)中的任一方向可调的定位器使喷嘴所安装的臂定位而得以实现。为了能快速地将这种由机器进行密封的外衣装上去和卸下来,该臂能够快速地移入或移出所定的准确位置,这通常通过使用一自动执行机构来实现。
一般,喷嘴是一喷嘴组件的一部分,该喷嘴组件包括一连接于一空气歧管的喷嘴本体,该空气歧管具有一将热空气从一热空气供给源输送到所需要的喷嘴本体位置所必需的结构。通常,该歧管包括金属管,该金属管的一端焊接于喷嘴本体,其另一端焊接于一螺纹接头,用于使喷嘴组件连接于热空气供给源。
由于金属管子本身很难弯折或焊接成具有紧密的公差,因而每个喷嘴组件具有略微不同的尺寸。同样,如果喷嘴组件由于诸如清洁之类的原因而必需拆下时,一种通常的螺纹连接无法实现喷嘴组件的可重复的重新对准。因此,如果一台机器上的喷嘴组件必需拆下或更换时,必需在每个自由度上对定位器进行重新调整,以精确地使喷嘴相对于工作区域重新定位。重新定位可能是一种耗时的工作,它增加了总的制造时间,并且/或者可能因试验和故障而造成一些次品,因而浪费了产品。
用一接缝密封机制成的接缝在外衣的总的防水性能中通常仍然是最薄弱的连接,这是因为将接缝带保持于接缝之上的粘合密封最终可能失效。
在接缝的制造过程中,接缝密封机的操作人员在操作过程中最好要注意密封表面的交接部,以确保接缝带准确地与接缝对准。现有的喷嘴设计是将喷嘴直接设置在接缝交接部的前面,因而阻碍了机器操作人员的视线。而且,使用任何数量的喷嘴可能一样会因这样一种阻碍喷嘴操作人员观察喷嘴所朝物品的喷嘴设计而受不利影响。
排出喷嘴的热空气的热量对于合适的粘合剂熔化及随后的连接也是相当关键的。现有的喷嘴设计在热空气供给源上配备有一热电偶,以此在有热量从热电偶与喷嘴出口之间的管子辐射损耗之前测量空气温度。使用这样配置的热电偶无法测量到喷嘴出口处的真实温度,而该温度恰恰是粘合剂熔化操作的关键温度,可以预见,该温度也是其它热空气喷嘴使用场合的关键温度。
现有技术大致揭示了用于热接合或热空气接缝密封的任何数量的结构的喷嘴,没有一个具体解决了这里所讨论的问题。因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种适合于使喷嘴相对于需要接纳气流的物品可重复地精确定位的喷嘴组件。本发明的另一个目的在于,喷嘴组件能使需要拆卸和更换的喷嘴相对于物品处于相同位置。本发明的一个特点在于提供这样一种喷嘴组件,它使用时不会阻碍喷嘴操作人员对诸如接缝密封带之类的物品的观察。本发明的另一个特点在于安装一与喷嘴结合在一起的热电偶,以提供接近喷嘴出口的温度测量。
发明概要
按照本发明,提供了一种喷嘴组件,它包括一喷嘴、一对准板和一延伸于喷嘴与对准板之间的臂,该臂还包括一将所述喷嘴连接于一压缩空气供给源的空气管道,其中喷嘴、臂和对准板形成一个整体的喷嘴组件。在一个备选实施例中,喷嘴组件还包括一基座,该基座具有一对准板接纳器,上面安装对准板。在另一个实施例中的喷嘴组件还包括一连接于基座的线性执行机构,用于使基座沿一直线路径从一第一工作位置移动到一第二待机位置。
较佳的是,对准板包括一相对于一基准面倾斜一预定角度的第一对准表面。而且,较佳的是,喷嘴组件还包括一测量喷嘴排出空气温度的热电偶组件。
按照本发明,还提供了一种用于热密封一织物接缝的改进的热密封机器,其改进包括:可拆的喷嘴组件包括一喷嘴、一对准板和一延伸于喷嘴与对准板之间的臂。臂还包括一将所述喷嘴连接于一压缩空气供给源的空气管道,其中喷嘴、臂和对准板形成一个整体的喷嘴组件。该喷嘴组件还包括一基座,该基座具有一对准板接纳器,对准板能在其上面可重复地、基本精确地相对于基座安装于相同的位置。热密封机还可包括一连接于基座的线性执行机构,用于使基座沿一直线路径从一第一工作位置移动到一第二待机位置。

发明的详细描述
下面将参照附图来说明本发明,所有附图中相同的标号表示相同的构件。这些附图是示例性的,而不是限制性的,它们在这里用来便于对系统及其所执行的相关过程来进行说明。
参见图1和1A,图中示出本发明喷嘴组件的一个实施例,它用在具有施压轧辊12和14以及辊子16的一接缝密封机10的热密封工位。热敏性接缝密封带17由辊子16引导并与一织物接缝19对准,使得接缝和密封带输送于轧辊12与14之间。随着密封带在即将被送入轧辊之前接近接缝,来自喷嘴18的热气流使热敏粘合剂衬垫熔化。
简要参见图3,图中示出喷嘴18通过一平行于喷嘴延伸的臂82连接于一形成一体的对准板80。喷嘴18、臂82和对准板80一起形成一单个的单元,在下面称作整体喷嘴组件20。
下面参见图1和1A,图中示出了压缩空气供给源24,热空气从该供给源于热空气连接器26处进入整体喷嘴组件20,并于喷嘴18处排出。整体喷嘴组件20安装于基座28上,该基座沿支承结构34的滑轨30朝箭头AA@和AB@方向水平直线滑动。基座28的运动在箭头AA@方向由可调行程止挡件36限定。基座28抵靠行程止挡件36的位置包括一第一工作位置。在所示的实施例中,支承结构是由美国THK生产的型号为HSR-15A的线性滑动轴承,但也可以使用任何与该较佳实施例一致的、能够提供可调线性定位的等效装置。
支承结构34连接于竖直轴承定位器台架组件40,该台架组件具有一定位装置44,该定位装置最好具有一数字指示器45。在所示的具体实施例中,定位装置配有一测微计,它可旋转用来使轴承定位器台架上下移动,每一圈使旋钮的一特定部分与一数字刻度对齐,从而可以用数字来限定准确位置。
竖直轴承定位器台架40连接于水平轴承定位器台架46,该台架具有一与竖直定位器台架的相类似的定位装置48,但它可以在水平方向上朝向和离开机器操作人员而调节。具体说,在该较佳实施例中,水平和竖直定位器台架是横滚(cross-rolling)轴承定位器台架,诸如宾夕法尼亚州Harrison City的Daedal Division的Parker Hannifin公司生产的型号为CR 4554的产品。但也可以使用任何能够在可预测的公差内提供可调的水平和竖直定位并与该实施例一致的等效定位器台架,正如可使用具有使本发明喷嘴相对于待加热物品重复、精确定位的装置的定位器的任何组合一样。
因此,在可预测的、预先限定的和已知的公差内,喷嘴18在对接缝带施加热空气时的准确位置是通过调节分别位于定位器台架40和46上的定位装置44和48,以及通过调节支承结构34上的行程止挡件36来固定。当每条待封的接缝准备好被送入机器时,基座28朝箭头AB@方向沿支承结构34的滑轨30滑动,直到它碰到固定行程止挡件50。由于基座处于该第二待机位置,当接缝被送入机器时,喷嘴不会妨碍工作区域。在接缝处于适当位置之后,基座28朝箭头AA@方向滑回到适当位置,直到它碰到可调行程止挡件36,在该位置喷嘴与接缝密封带在第一工作位置对齐。该滑动动作是通过机器操作人员启动(通过未图示的装置)一连接于基座28的线性执行机构(在下面详细描述)来实现的。
下面参见图2和2A,图中示出了本发明一个实施例中的基座与支承结构的关系。基座28包括骑乘于滑轨30上并连接于安装架64的滑架62,该滑架62进一步连接于执行机构连接架66。安装架64还包括对准板接纳器63,它具有一个表面65。对准板接纳器还包括一组定位销68。
在图2和2A所示的实施例中,线性执行机构60是一种无杆的气缸执行机构,由伊利诺伊州Monee的Bimba制造公司生产,它进一步包括一滑块70,该滑块具有一中空的孔,适于配合于和沿气缸72的长度方向滑动。滑块70连接于执行机构连接架66,允许其执行的动作传递到基座28。在较佳的实施例中,在机器操作人员通过踏板开关或其它装置(未示出)的控制下,位于气缸72任一端的空气连接管(未示出)供给空气压力,该空气压力使气缸72内的连接于一磁体(未示出)的一内部活塞(未示出)移动。内部活塞响应空气压力的移动使磁体移动,进而使滑块70移动。以这种方式,机器操作人员使喷嘴移入和移出密封位置。本发明也预计到可使用现有技术中公知并与该较佳实施例一致的、用于提供由操作人员控制的线性动作的任何等效装置,诸如皮带驱动或标准气缸。
下面参见图3和3A,图中示出了构成整体喷嘴组件20的对准板80、臂82和喷嘴18。喷嘴18和对准板80均从臂82的接缝侧116突出。对准板具有适于与定位销68(图2A中所示)配合的定位孔84,在本实施例中,还具有一螺栓孔85,用于通过一螺栓(未示出)将对准板80固定于对准板接纳器63(图2A中所示)。但也可以使用任何方法来固定对准板80。同样,可以使用任何能够以可重复的精度使喷嘴可拆定位的对准板和对准板接纳器。定位销可以设置在对准板上,而定位孔设置在对准板接纳器上;或者,对准板和对准板接纳器可包括一配合于一槽内的突片。
在一备选实施例中,螺栓孔85也可以是一定位孔,其相应的螺栓可以是一具有一些固定对准的附加构件的定位销,从而满足使喷嘴精确和重复定位的要求。因此,对准板80可以包括一定位销和一螺栓孔,对准板接纳器可以包括螺栓和一定位销。
在另一备选实施例中,一单个的不规则形状的定位销和相应的定位孔可以重复地、可拆地、精确地使对准板80在对准板接纳器上定位。
下面参见图3A,图中示出了整体喷嘴组件20的一个实施例,它包括喷嘴18、臂82和对准板80,对准板具有内孔,它们包括热空气管道,由虚线表示。然而,在一备选实施例中,管道可以位于臂的外部。在图3A所示的实施例中,在臂内部的细长孔86从对准板端延伸到喷嘴端。该孔可以在对准板端穿透臂的外壁,而在喷嘴端不穿透臂的外壁,如图3A中所示,或者,在一备选实施例中,该细长孔可以在两端处均穿透臂的外壁。在对准板端的穿孔在图中表示为用一焊帽88塞住。热空气连接孔89在对准板端穿透臂而与细长孔相交。
简要参见图3,图中示出热空气连接器26,它包括焊接接管25、套圈27和螺母29,它们在热空气连接孔89处连接于臂,用于将喷嘴连接于一压缩热空气源。
再次参见图3A,细长孔86与具有一副孔轴线91的副孔90相交,该副孔进一步连接于主孔92。在图3A所示的实施例中,副孔90在操作人员侧114穿透臂的外壁而产生与副孔90一起延伸的热电偶孔94。热电偶组件95在该热电偶孔处连接于臂,并且该热电偶组件还具有热电偶线96,该线从热电偶组件通过副孔90延伸到副孔90与主孔92的交点。这样,热电偶线96所感测到的温度测量值是接近于喷嘴出口的温度。
下面同时参见图3和3A,主孔92可以穿透喷嘴的两端,或者,它可以仅从一端穿透。在穿透两端的情况下,如图3和3A所示的实施例中所表示的,焊帽98塞住主孔98的一端。用螺栓101连接的可拆端塞100塞住主孔的另一端。
在喷嘴的一不锈钢实施例中,端塞由黄铜制成,因而当喷嘴变热时,两种金属之间的膨胀系数的相对差异可产生紧密的密封。
喷嘴18具有一弯曲表面105,该表面在一备选实施例中可以是平的或呈其它几何形状。该表面配有一组沿径向钻出的空气通道106,它们穿透入主孔92。
下面参见图3B和3C,图中示出了一个实施例中的总共二十个空气通道106,它们排成五行,沿径向钻于弯曲表面105中。每行空气通道处于一个也含有主孔轴线119的平面上,如位于平面125上的顶行225所示。每一行中的空气通道在水平方向上相对于圆周中心线120对称分布。
通常,管道的尺寸决定喷嘴空气通道所构制成的流体流动特性,进而管道尺寸由空气的压力、温度和流率以及待加热物品与空气供给源之间的空间关系决定。提供任何喷嘴空气通道组合,以实现与本文描述相应并具有任何一套管道尺寸的喷嘴装置所要求的空气分配,这属于本发明的范围。
图3B和3D所示的喷嘴实施例通常是与压力范围为15到30psig、温度为550到750℃、流率为110到160scfh的空气一起使用。该喷嘴通常设置在距离待加热表面0.06到0.08英寸处。
因此,热空气供给源24连接于热空气连接器26处,并将一股热空气鼓吹入整体喷嘴组件。热空气通过细长孔86、副孔90而进入主孔92,并通过空气通道106排出喷嘴18。由热电偶组件95通过热电偶线96感测到的温度用于热空气供给源24的反馈温度控制。
如图3D所示,对准板80表示为具有一楔形的形状,使得当对准板表面110水平安装成与对准板接纳器表面65(图2A所示)齐平时,喷嘴的顶侧112从操作人员侧114到接缝侧116向下倾斜一个“相对于水平”的角度,该角度在10°到45°之间,最好为20°。因此,对准板表面110还形成一个“相对于一基准轴线(在这里是副孔轴线91,它在本实施例中平行于顶侧112)”的角度。该角度允许喷嘴操作人员观察到待密封的接缝,而不会妨碍他或她对接缝密封区域的视线。当α=20°时,含主孔轴线119的平面125与空气通道顶行之间的角度相对于通过主孔轴线的一水平基准面130倾斜一个角度β=45°。
对准板对准表面在任何角度下可以安装成与对准板接纳器表面齐平,只要整体喷嘴组件的喷嘴部分从水平向下倾斜一个角度而不致妨碍对待加热物品的视线即可。
如图3到3D所示的本发明的整体喷嘴组件的实施例可以用一单块的不锈钢棒材来制造。因此,其尺寸可以通过一标准的单个工艺来精确而可重复地加工成具有紧密的公差,使得每个这样加工的整体喷嘴组件可与其它任何这样加工的整体喷嘴组件互换。
再次参见图1-3,接缝密封机10可以用于均匀地加热一从卷筒分配出来的热敏物品,诸如接缝带,使其通过以下方法粘附于一表面,诸如接缝19。
首先,用定位器台架40和46使喷嘴支承基座28在一竖直和第一水平方向上对准。支承基座的行程在一第二水平方向上(沿箭头A和B)由行程止挡件36,从而相对于接缝带的预定位置在一预定公差内准确限定一工作位置。
而后,用与喷嘴形成一体(通过连接于对准板80)的对准件(孔84)同与喷嘴支承基座28形成一体的对准件(销68)精确配合,将作为整体喷嘴组件20一部分的喷嘴18安装于喷嘴支承基座28。来自喷嘴的热源,在本实施例中是来自空气供给源24的压缩热空气,通过在热空气连接器26处连接于喷嘴并排出热气流而被启动。然后,热气流通过将其加热至所需温度被稳定,同时将其鼓吹通过喷嘴歧管,直到热电偶组件95表明已达到所需温度。
而后,由滚筒16引导的接缝带17被定位于其预定位置,以供粘附于织物接缝19,织物接缝定位于一第二预定位置。接缝19和接缝带17两者相对于轧辊12和14的位置使得接缝带将被加热,并且接缝和接缝带在接缝密封机10启动后将同时被压于轧辊之间。
喷嘴支承基座28沿箭头A从其抵靠于止挡件50的待机位置移动到抵靠于可调行程止挡件36的工作位置。然后,接缝带被输送通过喷嘴18,来自喷嘴18的均匀热气流21使接缝带的热敏粘结剂激活,使接缝带固结于接缝表面上。轧辊12和14响应于操作人员的一个信号的自动旋转,该信号通常是踩压一踏板,使接缝带和接缝组合输送通过轧辊。这使接缝带17以所需的速度输送通过喷嘴18。
之后,喷嘴支承基座28沿箭头B方向返回到抵靠止挡件50的待机位置。此后,先使接缝和接缝带定位于它们各自的位置,便可重复上述过程用于其它的接缝。
本发明尤其具有这样的优点,即使用者能够根据需要拆除和更换喷嘴,无需重复喷嘴支承基座定位步骤。这样,通过分离热空气连接器26处的热源24,并使通过臂82与喷嘴18形成一体的对准板80提起离开对准板接纳器63,可以将喷嘴18从喷嘴支承基座28上拆下。通过使对准板孔84重新与定位销68对准,既可以更换原来的喷嘴18,也可以调换制造成具有相同公差的其它种类的喷嘴。这样,可以开始使接缝密封所需的其余步骤,而无需使定位台架40或46重新定位。可以以类似的方式使用本文所提出的具有各种不同结构的对准板的备选实施例。这种使喷嘴重复对准的能力,在密封接缝织物的制造中可节省时间。
虽然本文所示的本发明的实施例适于同接缝密封机一起使用,但该实施例或备选实施例也可适用于接缝密封机之外的许多场合。
获悉以上所描述的本发明技术的本技术领域技术人员可以对其进行许多改型。这些改型应理解为属于如所附权利要求书所述的本发明的范围之内。

Claims (17)

1.一种整体喷嘴组件,它包括一喷嘴、一对准板和一位于喷嘴与对准板之间的臂,该臂还具有一将所述喷嘴连接于一压缩空气源的空气管道,其中所述喷嘴、臂和对准板形成一单个的单元。
2.如权利要求1所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,它还包括一具有一对准板接纳器的基座,所述对准板安装于该对准板接纳器上。
3.如权利要求2所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,它还包括一连接于基座的线性执行机构,用于使基座沿一直线路径从一第一工作位置移动到一第二待机位置。
4.如权利要求3所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,它还包括一支承结构,上面安装有基座板和线性执行机构,所述支承结构具有限制基座路线的可调止挡件。
5.如权利要求2所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,该对准板包括一相对于一基准面倾斜一预定角度的对准板对准表面。
6.如权利要求5所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,该基座对准板接纳器具有一安装第一对准表面的对准板接纳器表面,该对准板通过一定位销对准于接纳器。
7.如权利要求6所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,该空气管道位于所述臂内。
8.如权利要求7所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,该喷嘴还包括一宽度和一前表面;该臂还包括一平行于所述喷嘴宽度的长度;该管道还包括:
一位于所述喷嘴中的主孔,所述主孔沿所述喷嘴宽度具有一长度,并通过它延伸有一主孔轴线;
一相对于该前表面而延伸的、基本垂直于主孔并连接于它的副孔;
一位于所述臂中的、沿所述臂长度延伸的细长孔,所述细长孔具有一第一端和一第二端,所述第一端基本垂直连接于副孔,所述第二端终止于所述臂中的一开口;
多个通过所述前表面延伸到主孔的空气通道。
9.如权利要求8所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,它还包括一热电偶组件,该组件具有一延伸通过副孔并终止于主孔与副孔的交点处的热电偶线。
10.如权利要求1所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,所述喷嘴、臂和对准板由一单个不锈钢棒材制成。
11.如权利要求10所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,所述喷嘴、臂和对准板由一单个不锈钢棒材制成,并且所述端塞是黄铜。
12.如权利要求1所述的整体喷嘴组件,其特征在于,所述喷嘴连接于一热空气供给源。
13.一种用于热密封一织物接缝的热密封机,该机器包括一沿一条通过一热密封工位的路线输送所述织物接缝的织物输送件,该热密封工位包括一压缩热空气源,以及一在该密封工位对所述织物接缝施加所述热空气的可拆的整体喷嘴组件,其改进包括可拆的整体喷嘴组件,该组件具有:
一喷嘴;
一对准板;
一在喷嘴与对准板之间平行于喷嘴而延伸的臂,该臂还具有一将所述喷嘴连接于压缩空气源的空气管道,其中所述喷嘴、所述臂和所述对准板形成一单个的单元;以及
一基座,它具有一对准板接纳器,所述对准板安装于该对准板接纳器上,使所述可拆的整体喷嘴组件相对于基座可重复地定位于基本上完全相同的位置。
14.如权利要求13所述的热密封机,其特征在于,该整体喷嘴组件还包括一连接于所述基座的线性执行机构,用于使所述基座和定位于所述基座上的所述喷嘴沿一直线路径从整体喷嘴组件在热密封工位处于织物接缝上施加热空气的一第一工作位置离开密封工位而移动到一第二待机位置。
15.如权利要求14所述的热密封机,其特征在于,它还包括一接缝密封带分配器和一将接缝密封带从所述分配器分配到织物接缝上的引导路径,该加热工位具有一对施压辊,所述整体喷嘴组件沿织物输送路径刚好位于该两个辊子之前。
16.如权利要求14所述的热密封机,其特征在于,所述对准板包括一或多个孔,所述对准板接纳器包括一或多个与所述对准板孔配合的销。
17.如权利要求14所述的热密封机,其特征在于,所述对准板包括一或多个销,所述对准板接纳器包括一或多个与所述对准板销配合的孔。
