条形码读取用光学装置 及其制造方法以及投光受光组件
技术领域
本发明涉及条形码读取用光学装置及其制造方法,尤其是,涉及提高构成一体的投光透镜及受光透镜的各自的设计自由度、定位精度的改进技术以及条形码读取用投光受光组件,特别是,涉及使发光元件及受光元件的安装面积为最小限度从而可以使组件小型化的改进技术。
背景技术
近年来,大多数商店或工厂等,通过在物品上附加表示数字信息的条形码并以光学方式对其进行扫描而读取信息,进行商品的销售管理或产品的生产管理。这种条形码,一般是使光照射条形码并对其反射光的强弱进行光电变换,从而根据该检测信号的组合读取信息。
即,如图19的概念图所示,由发光透镜3将来自发光元件1的光聚光,由扫描镜5的反射镜7对该光进行反射,并照射在条形码9上。为使光照射条形码9的整个区域,使反射镜7摆动。将安装在反射镜7上的磁铁11嵌插在驱动线圈3内,并通过使正负电流例如以一定的周期流过驱动线圈3而吸引和排斥磁铁11,从而使反射镜7以摆动支点15为轴而摆动。
另一方面,照射在条形码9上的光,虽然进行漫反射但都根据条形码的黑白所引起的光量变化而再次返回反射镜7,因此,反射后的光由聚光透镜17聚光,并由受光元件19对光量变化进行电气变换后输出。
另外,为提高读取精度,在受光元件19的正面设置一个带通滤波器(BPF)21,用以防止对发射光频以外的不需要的光进行的采光。
如按这种读取方式进行装置设计,则可以提供图20所示的读取用光学装置。
该装置的结构,如图中的例所示,将在壳体25内装有发光元件1和发光透镜3的发光机构A及在壳体27内装有受光元件19、受光元件17和BPF21的受光机构B安装在基板29上。
利用引线接合法等进行各壳体25、27内的电气连接。接着,将扫描镜5的反射镜7配置成能以摆动支点15为中心进行摆动。然后,将上述发光结构A、受光机构B及扫描镜5安放在图中未示出的外壳内,即可形成为条形码读取用光学装置。
但是,上述条形码读取用光学装置,将在壳体内装有发光元件、发光透镜的发光机构与在壳体内装有受光元件、受光元件的受光机构分开构成,所以,需要大的安装空间,因而限制了装置整体的小型化。
另一方面,为消除这种缺点,已有通过将两个透镜合为一体而构成一个透明透镜从而实现装置的整体小型化的特开平7 93454号公报所记载的「条形码读出器」及用透明树脂材料将照射用透镜和成像用透镜形成一体从而减少光学部件的数量并减轻组装劳动力的特开平11 15910号公报所公开的「条形码读取装置」。
可是,这些装置,虽然在某中程度上都可以节省空间,但由于以作为同一介质的透明树脂等整体地形成投光透镜部和受光透镜部,所以不能根据投光或受光特性的不同而选择不同的介质。此外,很难将其中一个透镜作为复合透镜或对每个透镜进行不同的镀膜等处理,因而在透镜的设计上造成了限制。进一步,在这种整体成型透镜的情况下,如将一个透镜定位固定,则另一个透镜就不能移动,因此不能通过对用于投光和用于受光的两个透镜进行微调而进行高精度的定位。
本发明,是鉴于上述状况而开发的,其目的是提供一种在可以确保小型化、轻量化的同时提高各透镜的设计自由度而且可以对各透镜进行灵活的位置调整的条形码读取用光学装置及其制造方法
另外,例如特开平11 326805号公报所记载的电光读取装置,在印刷电路基板的一个面上并列安装半导体激光器(发光元件)、光检测器(受光元件),并用模制树脂构件将其覆盖,同时在该模制树脂构件上整体形成对来自半导体激光器的激光进行会聚、光路变更及射出的透镜、棱镜、开孔并附设用于使返回光会聚的凹面镜,从而实现小型化、轻量化,但由于将半导体激光器、光检测器并列安装在印刷电路基板的一个面(同一个面)上,所以使印刷电路基板的尺寸增大,其结果是,存在着不能充分实现小型化的问题。
发明内容
本发明,是鉴于上述状况而开发的,其目的是提供一种只要能确保用于安装发光元件或受光元件的任何一个的面积也就能进行另一个元件的安装的投光受光组件并因此而实现组件的小型化、轻量化。
用于达到上述目的第1组发明的第1部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:备有发光元件、使来自该发光元件的光会聚并照射在条形码上的投光透镜、具有使光的入射面和出射面贯通的贯通孔并将上述投光透镜插装在该贯通孔内且用于使来自条形码的反射光会聚的受光透镜、接收由该受光透镜会聚后的光并进行光电变换的受光元件。
在该条形码读取用光学装置中,通过在受光透镜上形成贯通孔并将上述投光透镜插装在该贯通孔内,可以使受光透镜的设置空间包含投光透镜的设置空间,即,无需按每个透镜确保设置空间,即可实现小型、轻量化。除此以外,还可以对每个透镜进行适合于性能的材质选择和镀膜处理等,因而提高了设计自由度。此外,投光透镜与受光透镜的相对位置可以分别独立进行调整,所以能够可靠地减小各透镜相对于各元件(发光元件、受光元件)的位置误差。
第2部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:上述投光透镜,是将多个单透镜组合后的复合透镜。
在该条形码读取用光学装置中,投光透镜为复合透镜。该复合透镜,将多个单透镜组合而成。在这种情况下,如构成为使光在例如2个透镜之间以接近平行的状态传播,则使光轴在垂直方向的轴偏移容许度增大,因而能有效地提高产品的合格率及可靠性。
第3部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:将上述多个单透镜以使光轴与轴线一致的方式嵌合在筒体的内部,并将该筒体插装在上述受光透镜的贯通孔内。
在该条形码读取用光学装置中,构成为将上述多个单透镜嵌合在筒体内并将该筒体插装在受光透镜的贯通孔内,所以,可以将单透镜按预先规定的间隔配置在筒体内而制成复合透镜,因而可以按如下的不同方式进行位置调整,即,使该筒体相对于贯通孔移动从而使复合透镜整体相对于受光透镜移动、或者在将筒体固定在贯通孔内的状态下使任意的单透镜相对于筒体移动的变化。
第4部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:上述筒体是金属筒体。
在该条形码读取用光学装置中,由于筒体是金属,所以使入射到复合透镜的来自发光元件的光不能从贯通孔的内周面向受光透镜的介质传播。因此,来自发光元件的光,不会作为干扰而入射到受光元件。就是说,可以提高受光元件对反射光的接收精度。
第5部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:上述投光透镜,是圆柱状的单透镜。
在该条形码读取用光学装置中,由于投光透镜是圆柱状的单透镜,所以与上述复合透镜相比易于制作。此外,由于是圆柱状,所以可以将投光透镜本身插装在贯通孔内,因而无需使用其他构件(例如上述的筒体)即可将投光透镜以可沿光轴方向自由移动的结构组装于受光透镜。
第6部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:以使轴线与上述受光透镜的光轴一致的方式而配置柱状的散热器,将上述受光元件固定于该散热器的端面,并将上述发光元件固定于该散热器的侧面。
在该条形码读取用光学装置中,固定于散热器的端面的受光元件,在受光透镜的光轴上面对受光透镜。即,能以高的效率接收来自受光透镜的会聚光。另一方面,由于将发光元件固定于散热器的侧面,所以使来自发光元件的光不能入射到整个受光透镜,因而只能照射到组装了投光透镜的受光透镜的一部分。因此,从发光元件射出并在照射条形码后反射的光,可以直接由散热器上的受光元件接收,而无需由反射镜等进行90度的角度变换。
第7部分所述的条形码读取用光学装置的制造方法,其特征在于:将投光透镜以沿光轴方向自由移动的方式嵌合在使受光透镜的入射面和出射面贯通的贯通孔内,并将上述受光透镜相对于受光元件定位固定,然后,使上述投光透镜相对于该定位固定后的受光透镜进行移动调整而将其定位固定。
在该制造方法中,在将受光透镜相对于受光元件定位固定后,使投光透镜相对于该受光透镜进行移动调整而将其定位固定,所以,先定位的受光透镜的位置绝不会因后进行的投光透镜的移动调整而变动。就是说,可以将各透镜定位在最佳位置。因此,可以对各透镜进行在现有的整体形成透镜中不可能进行的精细的位置调整。
用于达到上述目的第2组发明的第8部分所述的投光受光组件,使从发光元件射出的光照射在被照射对象上,并由受光元件接收来自被照射对象的返回光,该投光受光组件的特征在于;将上述发光元件和上述受光元件安装在一个模座的表面和背面上。
在该投光受光组件中,由于将发光元件和受光元件以背面相对的方式安装在一个模座的表面和背面上,所以无需在模座的一个面(同一平面)上确保安装发光元件的面积和安装受光元件的面积的两个面积。即,如采用能够确保两个面积中通常需要较大面积的受光元件的安装面积的模座,则可以在其相反的一面上安装发光元件。就是说,与将发光元件及受光元件安装在一个面上的模座相比,可以使模座减小相当于发光元件的安装面积的部分。因此,可以实现投光受光组件的小型化、轻量化
第9部分所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:备有一个模座、以背面相对的方式安装在一个模座的表面和背面上的发光元件和受光元件、配置在模座的安装了受光元件一侧的面上并用于将从发光元件射出的光的传播方向大致改变为直角的光路变更装置、穿通上述模座并使由上述光路变更装置变更了传播方向的光通向模座的安装了受光元件的一侧的贯通孔。
在该投光受光组件中,当从发光元件平行出射到模座面的光入射到光路变更装置时,将该入射光的光路大致变更为直角,变成与模座的面垂直的方向。该变更光,通过穿通模座的贯通孔后,出射到安装了受光元件的一侧。就是说,由于不需要在模座的外部设置用于变更光路的光学装置,所以可以在面积有限的模座的面内将来自发光元件的光的光路变更为向相反一侧射出。
第10部分所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:将使投光透镜部和受光透镜部形成一体的投光受光整体透镜以与上述模座平行的方式配置在上述模座的安装了上述受光元件一侧。
在该投光受光组件中,通过贯通孔射出的光,由投光透镜部会聚并照射在被照射对象上。来自被照射对象的返回光,由受光透镜部会聚后入射到受光元件。即,出射光的会聚、返回光的会聚,只由一个投光受光整体透镜进行,因而可以减少光学装置的部件数并减少组装的工时数。此外,在该投光受光组件中,出射光和返回光均为与模座垂直的方向,所以只需使投光受光整体透镜平行于模座进行配置即可很容易地组装成使投光透镜部和受光透镜部的中心轴与出射光和返回光的光轴平行。
第11部分所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:安装两个上述受光元件,并在该两个受光元件之间的上述模座上穿设上述贯通孔,在上述投光受光整体透镜上,形成两个上述受光透镜部,且在该两个受光透镜部之间形成一个上述投光透镜部。
在该投光受光组件中,由于将两个受光元件及两个受光透镜部设在模座的一侧,所以能够提高受光灵敏度。此外,通过在各受光元件之间的模座上穿设贯通孔并在各受光透镜部之间形成投光透镜部,可以将发光机构可靠地设置在形成受光机构的空间范围内,因此,将发光元件和受光元件安装于表面和背面的本结构,可以更有效地节省空间。
第12部分所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:在上述模座的安装了上述受光元件的一侧,形成与该模座平行相对的组件前壁,并在该前壁上分别设置面对上述贯通孔的投光透镜及面对上述受光元件的受光透镜。
在该投光受光组件中,通过将投光透镜与受光透镜分别进行设置,能够可靠地防止在采用同一介质的投光受光整体透镜的情况下很容易产生的因从投光透镜部向受光透镜部的绕射或漫射等而引起的干扰光(杂散光)。此外,由于投光透镜与受光透镜分开设置,所以可以对每个透镜进行最佳的材质选择和镀膜处理,因而提高了透镜设计的自由度。进一步,由于投光透镜与受光透镜分开设置,所以能够相互独立地进行位置调整,因而可以提高调整的精度。
第13部分所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:在上述模座与上述组件前壁之间形成将上述贯通孔及上述投光透镜之间的出射光路空间与上述受光透镜及上述受光元件之间的入射光路空间隔开的间壁。
在该投光受光组件中,由于出射光路空间与入射光路空间由间壁隔开,所以从贯通孔射出的光,不会从出射光路空间漏泄到入射光路空间而入射到受光透镜,因而能可靠地防止来自发光元件的光成为受光元件的干扰光。因此,可以提高受光灵敏度。

发明的具体实施形态
以下,参照附图详细说明本发明的条形码读取用光学装置及其制造方法的最佳实施形态。
图1是本发明的条形码读取用光学装置的主要部分断面图,图2是图1所示的条形码读取用光学装置的正视图。
本实施形态的条形码读取用光学装置(以下,简称为「扫描装置」)31,将以往分别设置的发光机构和受光机构构成为一体。即,在圆盘状的基板33的一个面上,固定设置着使轴线与基板中心一致的棱柱状的散热器35。散热器35,利用贯穿基板33的散热器用引线37a进行电气连接。
在该散热器35的与基板固定面相反一侧的端面上,固定设置着受光元件39。受光元件39,主要接收来自散热器35的轴线方向前方的光,并进行光电变换的动作。受光元件39,通过接合线41与贯穿基板33的受光元件用引线37b电气连接。
另一方面,在散热器35的侧面,固定设置着发光元件43。因此,发光元件43和受光元件39,配置在彼此成90度角的不同的正交平面上。发光元件43,也与贯穿基板33的发光元件用引线37c电气连接。
在基板33的固定设置散热器一侧的面上,按同一中心轴固定设置着外径与基板外径大致相同的圆筒壳体45。就是说,散热器35、受光元件39、发光元件43,为安放在该壳体45的内侧的状态。在壳体45的开口端(图1的右端),以使光轴与散热器35的轴线一致的方式嵌装着一个外径与该壳体45大致相同的受光透镜47,受光透镜47,将来自图中未示出的条形码的反射光会聚到受光元件39。

在受光透镜47上,在面对发光元件43的部分,与光轴平行地穿设着使光的入射面47a与出射面47b的贯通的贯通孔51。将投光透镜53插装在该贯通孔51内。
本实施形态的投光透镜53,是由多个单透镜55a、55b构成的复合透镜。单透镜55a、55b,以使光轴与轴线一致的方式安放在筒体57的内部。并且,投光透镜53,通过将该筒体57插装在贯通孔51内而与受光透镜47组装为一体。投光透镜53,构成为使光在2个单透镜55a、55b之间以接近平行的状态传播,因而可以使光轴在垂直方向的轴偏移容许度增大,并能有效地提高产品的合格率及可靠性。
投光透镜53,在完成对受光透镜47的组装之前,使筒体57沿轴线方向相对于贯通孔51自由移动地松动嵌合。此外,投光透镜53,也可以使单透镜55a、55b相对于筒体57自由移动地松动嵌合。按照这种方式,投光透镜53,可以在筒体57的移动范围内相对于受光透镜47进行移动调整。在将投光透镜53定位在规定的位置后,用粘结剂等将筒体57或单透镜55a、55b固定。
投光透镜53,构成为将多个单透镜55a、55b嵌合在筒体57内并将该筒体57插装在受光透镜47的贯通孔51内,所以,可以将单透镜55a、55b按预先规定的间隔配置在筒体57内而制成复合透镜,因而可以按如下的不同方式进行位置调整,即,使该筒体57相对于贯通孔51移动从而使复合透镜整体相对于受光透镜47移动、或者在将筒体57固定在贯通孔51内的状态下使任意的单透镜55a、55b相对于筒体57移动。
上述筒体57,最好由金属构成。由于筒体57是金属,所以使入射到投光透镜53的来自发光元件43的光不能从贯通孔51的内周面向受光透镜47的介质传播。因此,来自发光元件43的光,不会作为干扰而入射到受光元件39。就是说,可以提高受光元件39对反射光的接收精度。
为制造按上述方式构成的扫描装置31,首先,将受光元件47相对于受光元件39定位固定。这时的定位,例如可以通过将散热器35的从基板33起的高度h及壳体45的高度H设定为规定尺寸进行。
然后,在使投光透镜53沿光轴方向相对于该定位固定后的受光透镜47进行移动调整并定位于规定位置的情况下,用粘结剂等固定在贯通孔51内。
另外,投光透镜53,除此以外,还可以仅由图5所示的圆柱状的单透镜55c构成。如果由这种单透镜55c构成投光透镜53,则与复合透镜相比易于制作。此外,由于是圆柱状,所以可以将投光透镜本身插装在贯通孔51内,因而无需使用其他构件(例如上述的筒体57)即可将投光透镜53以可沿光轴方向自由移动的结构组装在受光透镜47上。
图6是表示图1的扫描装置的动作状况的断面图。
在本实施形态的扫描装置31中,当由图中未示出的发光驱动电路使发光元43发光时,该光由投光透镜53会聚并从投光透镜53的出射侧射出。该光,照射图中未示出的条形码并产生反射光。
由条形码反射后的光,入射到受光透镜47而由该受光透镜47会聚,并由受光元件39对其进行接收。
受光元件39,对该光进行光电变换,并将条形码的图案作为电气信号输出到受光元件用引线37b上。
该输出信号,由图中未示出的计算机进行处理,并对条形码信息进行译码。
因此,按照上述的扫描装置31,通过在受光透镜47上形成贯通孔51并将投光透镜53插装在该贯通孔51内,可以使受光透镜47的设置空间包含投光透镜53的设置空间。因此,无需按每个透镜确保设置空间,即可实现小型、轻量化。除此以外,还可以对每个透镜进行适合于性能的材质选择和镀膜处理等,因而提高了透镜设计的自由度。此外,由于可以调整投光透镜53与受光透镜47的相对位置,所以能够减小各透镜(投光透镜53、受光透镜47)相对于各元件(发光元件43、受光元件39)的位置误差(进行细调)。
如以上所详述的那样,按照第1组本发明的条形码读取用光学装置,在受光透镜上形成贯通孔并将投光透镜插装在该贯通孔内,所以,不仅无需按每个透镜确保设置空间即可实现小型、轻量化,还可以对每个透镜进行适合于性能的材质选择和镀膜处理等,因而可以提高设计的自由度。此外,由于可以调整投光透镜与受光透镜的相对位置,所以能够减小各透镜相对于各元件的位置误差。
按照第1组本发明的条形码读取用光学装置的制造方法,在将受光透镜相对于受光元件定位固定后,使投光透镜相对于该受光透镜进行移动调整而将其定位固定,所以,先定位的受光透镜的位置绝不会因后进行的投光透镜的移动调整而变动,因而可以将各透镜定位在最佳位置。因此,可以对各透镜进行在现有的整体形成透镜中不可能进行的精细的位置调整,因而在可以实现小型化、轻量化的同时提高条形码读取用光学装置的组装精度,并能提高条形码的读取精度。
以下,参照附图详细说明第2组发明的投光受光组件的最佳实施形态。
图7是本发明的投光受光组件的第1实施形态的断面图,图8是图7的AA向视图,图9是图7的BB向视图,图10是图9的CC向视图。
投光受光组件131,例如,外壳为由树脂材料成型的两端开口的方筒形。在投光受光组件131的内部,设有模座133,该模座133,将投光受光组件131的内部容纳空间分隔为前部容纳室135和后部容纳室137。该后部容纳室137,安放着安装在模座133的背面的发光元件139。发光元件139,备有将激光器输出控制在规定值的监控用PD。
在发光元件139附近,安装着一个将从发光元件139射出的光的传播方向大致改变为直角的光路变更装置(固定45度反射镜)141。此外,固定45度反射镜141,即使用棱镜代替也仍可以形成同样的光路。在固定45度反射镜141附近,形成有贯通模座133的贯通孔143,贯通孔143,使由固定45度反射镜141变更了传播方向的光通向作为模座133的相反一侧的面的表面(图7的右面)侧。
本实施形态的投光受光组件131,为提高受光灵敏度,备有两个受光元件145、145。即,前部容纳室135,安放着安装在模座133的前面的两个受光元件145、145。就是说,投光受光组件131,在内部具有以背面相对的方式配置在模座133上的发光元件139和受光元件145、145。上述的贯通孔143,位于该两个受光元件145、145之间的模座133上。
投光受光组件131,如图8、图9所示,具有贯穿壁部147并从两个侧面伸出的多个(在本实施形态中,从左右的侧面各伸出4个,合计为8个)引线149。从一个侧面伸出的4个引线149 a、149b、149c、149d,只在后部容纳室137露出,并用接合线与发光元件139的各电极连接。从另一个侧面伸出的4个引线149e、149f、149g、149h,只在前部容纳室135露出,并用接合线与受光元件145、145的各电极连接。投光受光组件131,通过引线149将发光元件139、受光元件145的电极导出到外部。
投光受光组件131,例如,如图10所示,通过将所有引线149向后方折曲成直角并用焊剂等将该引线149连接固定于电路基板151的电路而安装在电路基板151上。
如上所述,通过使与发光元件139连接的引线149a、149b、149c、149d只在后部容纳室137露出并使与受光元件145、145连接的引线149e、149f、149g、149h只在前部容纳室135露出,即使在狭小的容纳空间内,也可以提高发光元件用引线149a、149b、149c、149d与受光元件用引线149e、149f、149g、149h之间的绝缘性。
投光受光组件131,将使投光透镜部153a和受光透镜部153b形成一体的投光受光整体透镜153以与模座133平行相对的方式支承在模座133的安装了受光元件145、145的一侧。投光受光整体透镜153,其构成方式为,形成两个受光透镜部153b且在该两个受光透镜部153b之间形成一个投光透镜部153a。
投光受光整体透镜153,可以由聚碳酸酯等透明的树脂或玻璃形成。此外,投光受光整体透镜153,设置在前部容纳室135的开口端面上并用粘结剂固定,从而能以与模座133平行的方式定位固定。投光受光整体透镜153,由投光透镜部153a将通过贯通孔143出射的光会聚并照射在作为被照射对象的条形码上。另一方面,由受光透镜部153b将来自条形码的返回光会聚并入射到受光元件145、145。即,出射光的会聚、返回光的会聚,只由一个投光受光整体透镜153进行。此外,投光受光整体透镜153,由于设置在开口端面上并以与模座133平行的方式进行组装,所以很容易组装成使投光透镜部153a及受光透镜部受光透镜部153b的中心轴与出射光及返回光的光轴平行。
图11是图7所示的投光受光组件的动作说明图。
在按上述方式构成的投光受光组件131中,来自发光元件139的光,由固定45度反射镜141变换为90度方向,并在通过贯通孔143后由投光受光整体透镜153的投光透镜部153a会聚并射出。该光由图中未示出的扫描镜的反射镜进行反射,并照射在图中未示出的条形码上。
照射在条形码表面上的光,虽然进行漫反射但都根据条形码的黑白所引起的光量变化而再次返回反射镜,因此,反射后的光进入投光受光整体透镜153的受光透镜部153b。进入受光透镜部153b的返回光被会聚后,由受光元件145、145对其进行接收。
受光元件145、145,对该光进行光电变换,并将条形码的图案作为电气信号输出到引线149e、149f、149g、149h上。
该输出信号,传送到图中未示出的计算机进行处理,并对条形码信息进行译码。
按照该投光受光组件131,由于将发光元件139和受光元件145、145以背面相对的方式安装在一个模座133的表面和背面上,所以无需在模座133的一个面(同一平面)上确保安装发光元件139的面积和安装受光元件145、145的面积的两个面积。即,如采用能够确保两个面积中通常需要较大面积的受光元件145、145的安装面积的模座133,则可以在其相反的一面上安装发光元件139。就是说,与将两种元件安装在一个面上的情况相比,可以使模座133减小相当于发光元件139的安装面积的部分。因此,可以实现投光受光组件131的小型化、轻量化
另外,由固定45度反射镜将从发光元件139射出的光大致变更为直角,并使该变更光通过贯通孔143而出射到相反的一侧,所以,不需要在模座133的外部特意地设置用于变更光路的光学装置,因而可以在面积有限的模座133的面内将来自发光元件139的光的光路变更为向相反一侧的面射出。
进一步,通过将两个受光元件145、145及两个受光透镜部153b、153b设在模座133的一侧,可以提高受光灵敏度。此外,通过在各受光元件之间的模座上穿设贯通孔143并在各受光透镜部之间形成投光透镜部153a,可以将发光机构可靠地设置在形成受光机构的空间范围内。因此,将发光元件139和受光元件145、145安装于表面和背面的结构,可以更有效地节省空间。即,如本实施形态所示,相对于一个发光元件139设置两个以上的受光元件145,可以更显著地发挥本发明的结构的节省空间的效果。
以下,说明第2组发明的投光受光组件的第2实施形态。
图12是表示本发明的投光受光组件的第2实施形态的断面图,图13是图12所示的投光受光组件的动作说明图。在图12中,对与图7所示构件相同的构件标以相同的符号,并将重复的说明省略。
本实施形态的投光受光组件161,将发光元件139及固定45度反射镜141安装在模座163的背面,并在模座163上穿设一个贯通孔143,在模座163的表面上安装着一个受光元件145。此外,在模座163的表面一侧,在与模座163平行相对的投光受光整体透镜165上,形成一个投光透镜部165a、一个受光透镜部165b。即,该投光受光组件161,将受光元件145及将返回光会聚在受光元件145上的受光透镜部165b构成为一组。
在该投光受光组件161中,如图13所示,来自发光元件139的光,也是由固定45度反射镜141变换为90度方向,在通过贯通孔143后由投光受光整体透镜165的投光透镜部165a会聚并射出,由图中未示出的扫描镜的反射镜进行反射,并照射在条形码上。然后,照射在条形码表面上的光,再次返回反射镜,并进入投光受光整体透镜165的受光透镜部165b,该光被会聚后由受光元件145接收。
按照该投光受光组件161,由于受光元件145仅为一个,所以与上述的投光受光组件131相比灵敏度多少有些降低,但可以使模座163、投光受光整体透镜165减小,因而能实现进一步的小型化、轻量化。
以下,说明第2组发明的投光受光组件的第3实施形态。
图14是表示本发明的投光受光组件的第3实施形态的断面图,图15是图14的DD向视图,图16是图14的EE向视图,图17是图16的FF向视图。在图14中,对与图7所示构件相同的构件标以相同的符号,并将重复的说明省略。
本实施形态的投光受光组件171,如图14、图15所示,将发光元件139及固定45度反射镜141安装在模座173的背面,并在模座173上穿设一个贯通孔143,在模座173的表面上安装着一个受光元件145。
在模座173的安装了受光元件145的一侧,形成与模座173平行相对的组件前壁175,如图16所示,该组件前壁175,具有与贯通孔143同轴的投光透镜安装孔177及使受光元件145露出的矩形受光窗口179。组件前壁175,在投光透镜安装孔177及矩形受光窗口179内分别安装着投光透镜181及受光透镜183。
在投光透镜安装孔177内,形成装入投光透镜181的嵌合形状部。投光透镜181,在沿该嵌合形状部的轴线方向滑动而进行了焦点调整后,将外周粘结并嵌装在嵌合形状部内。因此,可以简便且可靠地使发光元件139与投光透镜181的光轴及焦点一致。此外,在受光窗口179内,也形成装入受光透镜183的嵌合形状部,通过将受光透镜183嵌装在该嵌合形状部内,可以简便且可靠地使受光透镜183的光轴及焦点与受光元件145一致。
此外,该投光受光组件171,如图15、图16所示,具有贯穿壁部147并从两个侧面各伸出3个、合计为6个的引线185。从一个侧面伸出的3个引线185a、185b、185c、185d,只在后部容纳室137露出,并用接合线187与发光元件139的各电极连接。从另一个侧面伸出的3个引线185d、185e、185f,只在前部容纳室135露出,并用接合线189与受光元件145的各电极连接。
投光受光组件171,例如,如图17所示,通过将所有引线185向后方折曲成直角并用焊剂等将该引线185连接固定于电路基板151的电路而安装在电路基板151上。
投光受光组件171,在模座173与组件前壁175之间形成将贯通孔143及投光透镜181之间的出射光路空间191与受光透镜183及受光元件145之间的入射光路空间193隔开的间壁195。因此,从发光元件139射出并通过贯通孔143而进入出射光路空间191的光,不会进入到入射光路空间193。
图18是图14所示的投光受光组件的动作说明图。
在按上述方式构成的投光受光组件171中,来自发光元件139的光,由固定45度反射镜141变换为90度方向,并在通过贯通孔143后由投光透镜181会聚并射出。该光由扫描镜195的反射镜197进行反射,并照射在图中未示出的条形码上。
照射在条形码表面上的光,虽然进行漫反射但都根据条形码的黑白所引起的光量变化而再次返回反射镜197,因此,反射后的光进入受光透镜183。进入受光透镜183的返回光被会聚后,由受光元件145对其进行接收。
受光元件145,对该光进行光电变换,并将条形码的图案作为电气信号输出到引线185d、185e、185f上。
按照该投光受光组件171,与上述第1、第2实施形态的投光受光组件131、投光受光组件161一样,除可以实现小型化、轻量化的基本效果外,通过将投光透镜181与受光透镜183分别进行设置,能够可靠地防止在采用同一介质的投光受光整体透镜的情况下很容易产生的因从投光透镜部向受光透镜部的绕射或漫射等而引起的干扰光(杂散光)。此外,由于投光透镜181与受光透镜183分开设置,所以可以对每个透镜进行最佳的材质选择和镀膜处理,因而提高了透镜设计的自由度。进一步,由于投光透镜181与受光透镜183分开设置,所以能够相互独立地进行位置调整,因而可以提高调整的精度。
另外,由于出射光路空间191与入射光路空间193由间壁195隔开,所以从贯通孔143射出的光,不会从出射光路空间191漏泄到入射光路空间193而入射到受光透镜183,因而能可靠地防止来自发光元件139的光成为受光元件145的干扰光。因此,可以提高受光灵敏度。
如以上所详述的那样,按照第2组发明的投光受光组件,由于将发光元件和受光元件以背面相对的方式安装在一个模座的表面和背面上,所以无需在模座的一个面上确保安装发光元件的面积和安装受光元件的面积的两个面积,如采用能够确保两个面积中需要较大面积的一个元件的安装面积的模座,则可以在其相反的一面上安装另一个元件。就是说,采用只能安装一个元件的小的模座,即可进行发光元件及受光元件的两个元件的安装。因此,可以实现投光受光组件的小型化、轻量化。

Claims (12)

1.一种条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:备有发光元件、使来自该发光元件的光会聚并照射在条形码上的投光透镜、具有使光的入射面和出射面贯通的贯通孔并将上述投光透镜插装在该贯通孔内且用于使来自条形码的反射光会聚的受光透镜、接收由该受光透镜会聚后的光并进行光电变换的受光元件。
2.根据权利要求1所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:上述投光透镜,是将多个单透镜组合后的复合透镜。
3.根据权利要求2所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:将上述多个单透镜以使光轴与轴线一致的方式嵌合在筒体的内部,并将该筒体插装在上述受光透镜的贯通孔内。
4.根据权利要求3所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:上述筒体是金属筒体。
5.根据权利要求1所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:上述投光透镜,是圆柱状的单透镜。
6.根据权利要求1、2、3、4或5所述的条形码读取用光学装置,其特征在于:以使轴线与上述受光透镜的光轴一致的方式配置柱状的散热器,将上述受光元件固定于该散热器的端面,并将上述发光元件固定于该散热器的侧面。
7.一种条形码读取用光学装置的制造方法,其特征在于:将投光透镜以沿光轴方向自由移动的方式嵌合在使受光透镜的入射面和出射面贯通的贯通孔内,并将上述受光透镜相对于受光元件定位固定,然后,使上述投光透镜相对于该定位固定后的受光透镜进行移动调整而将其定位固定。
8.一种投光受光组件,其特征在于:备有一个模座、以背面相对的方式安装在一个模座的表面和背面上的发光元件和受光元件、配置在模座的安装了受光元件一侧的面上并用于将从发光元件射出的光的传播方向改变为直角的光路变更装置、穿通上述模座并使由上述光路变更装置变更了传播方向的光通向模座的安装了受光元件的一侧的贯通孔。
9.根据权利要求8所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:将使投光透镜部和受光透镜部形成一体的投光受光整体透镜以与上述模座平行的方式配置在上述模座的安装了上述受光元件一侧。
10.根据权利要求9所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:安装两个上述受光元件,并在该两个受光元件之间的上述模座上穿设上述贯通孔,在上述投光受光整体透镜上,形成两个上述受光透镜部,且在该两个受光透镜部之间形成一个上述投光透镜部。
11.根据权利要求8所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:在上述模座的安装了上述受光元件的一侧,形成与该模座平行相对的组件前壁,并在该前壁上分别设置面对上述贯通孔的投光透镜及面对上述受光元件的受光透镜。
12.根据权利要求11所述的投光受光组件,其特征在于:在上述模座与上述组件前壁之间形成将上述贯通孔及上述投光透镜之间的出射光路空间与上述受光透镜及上述受光元件之间的入射光路空间隔开的间壁。
