【现有技术的描述】
先前申请人已经研制出弹性把手,其能够成功地减轻作用在高尔夫球棒使用者的肌肉和胳膊关节上的冲击震动,并且也可以提供在打球者的手部和该把手之间发粘(tackiness)的感觉。例如参见在1998年8月25日已获授权的美国专利第5797813号。这些早期的把手使用绕着下斜(underlisting)套筒螺旋缠绕的聚氨酯毡(polyurethanefelt)条带,该下斜套筒被滑套到高尔夫球棒的手柄上并且粘结到高尔夫球棒手柄上。该条带的两侧形成有重叠的热压凹陷强化边缘。虽然已经证明这样的把手在减轻冲击震动方面具有满意的效果,但是尤其是因为必须在规定的压力参数下绕着该下斜套筒手工缠绕该把手,所以其制造需要密集的劳动。另外,当绕着该下斜套筒螺旋地缠绕这样的条带时,精确地对准条带的邻接侧边缘是困难的。在缠绕过程中,这种缠绕的把手的条带会扭转。当缠绕轻击棒(putter)把手时,这是一个特别困难的问题。这些缠绕的把手也不适于展示其装饰设计。
【发明概述】
本发明的高尔夫球棒的把手克服了现有的螺旋缠绕把手的上述缺陷,同时提供了由这种把手给予的相同的抗震效果,也提供了发粘性。通过由具有相应于下斜套筒的外部形状的单块聚氨酯-毡片材形成结构上一体的把手,可以消除这些缺陷。该单块片材的侧边缘彼此邻接并且粘结在一起,以限定贯穿该片材延伸的纵向接缝。在该接缝外端的聚氨酯层的外部可形成加热形成的凹陷密封凹槽,从而强化该接缝。沿着该接缝或者在该通道内堆积热的聚氨酯,并且在这些聚氨酯硬化之后,对其进行抛光,以便其平滑地与该把手的表面融合成一体。在另一改进中,利用模具在堆积的聚氨酯上压花压出增加摩擦的图案,以便与该把手的表面主体的增加摩擦图案相匹配。
可以以比现有的螺旋缠绕把手低相当多的成本来制造本发明的高尔夫球棒的把手,因为消除了在规定压力参数下绕着下斜套筒螺旋缠绕条带的高强度密集劳动。另外,在制造过程中或者在将其粘结到下斜套筒上之后,本发明的单块片材把手不会扭转。本发明人的新把手具有与传统模压的橡胶把手相似的外观,以吸引职业高尔夫选手和低障碍(low handicap)的业余爱好者的注意,并且也为使用装饰设计提供了更大的区域。

【优选实施例的详细描述】
参考附图,在图71中示出将体现本发明的单块片材把手G附加到高尔夫球棒GC的轴55上。在图72中示出将单块片材(single panel)的轻击棒把手PG附加到轻击棒P的轴57上。现在参考其余的附图,把手G的优选形式包括由粘结在一起的聚氨酯层60和毡层62形成的单块片材S,该单块片材绕着传统结构的弹性下斜套筒U缠绕并粘结到该下斜套筒上。
具体说来,参考图1、2和3,毡层62的外表面粘结到聚氨酯层60的内表面上,最好使该聚氨酯层凝固,以限定孔隙(未示出)。可以由羊毛、聚酯、尼龙或者它们的混合物来制造该毡层。最好使用尼龙聚酯毡。通过用溶解在二甲基甲酰胺(DMF)中的聚氨酯(例如:聚酯、聚醚)溶液涂覆毡条带的一面,将该涂覆过的条带浸入水浴(water baths)中以置换DMF,并且使该氨基甲酸乙酯凝固,最后通过使用压力和加热来驱走水分,可以以传统的方式形成聚氨酯层60。根据该聚氨酯层需要的硬度聚氨酯层的固体含量将有所不同。优选的固体含量溶液为大约28.5%-30.5%,在25+0.5℃的温度下测量的粘度范围为大约60000-90000厘泊(cps)。从下面所列的公司可以购买到合适的聚氨酯成分,即:

Claims (30)

1.一种用于高尔夫球棒手柄的把手,该把手包括:弹性的下斜套筒,其被伸缩地滑套到高尔夫球棒的手柄上;单块片材,其包括粘结在一个纺织物内层上的聚氨酯外层,该片材具有相应于该弹性套筒的外部形状的构造;该单块片材被绕着该下斜套筒缠绕并且粘结到该下斜套筒上;该片材的纵向侧边缘彼此邻接并且粘结在一起,从而限定从该纺织物层的的内表面延伸到该聚氨酯层的外表面的纵向接缝。
2.如权利要求1所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该片材的侧边缘被刮削,从而该接缝以相对于该片材的深度成一倾斜角地延伸穿过该片材。
3.如权利要求1所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,在该接缝外部的聚氨酯层内形成热压通道,以强化该接缝。
4.如权利要求1所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该接缝被聚氨酯的堆积物覆盖。
5.如权利要求2所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,沿着该接缝的长度在该聚氨酯层的外部形成热压通道,以强化该接缝。
6.如权利要求3所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该热压通道被光滑抛光过的聚氨酯覆盖。
7.如权利要求4所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,聚氨酯的堆积物被光滑地抛光。
8.如权利要求5所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,其中该把手还包括一个沿该接缝的聚氨脂的堆积物,该聚氨酯的堆积物被光滑地抛光。
9.如权利要求1所述的高尔夫球棒手柄的把手,其特征在于,该下斜套筒还包括形成有面朝下的凹槽的盖帽和形成有面朝上的周边凹槽的连接管嘴,该连接管嘴凹槽的外部由外围的唇缘来限定;并且该片材的上边缘稳固地保持在该盖帽的凹槽内,通过该外围唇缘该片材的下边缘被稳固地保持在该连接管嘴的凹槽内。

14.如权利要求11所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该热压通道被聚氨酯的堆积物覆盖。
15.如权利要求14所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该聚氨酯的堆积物被抛光。
16.如权利要求11所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该片材的侧边缘被刮削,从而该接缝以相对于该片材的深度成一倾斜角地延伸穿过该片材。
17.如权利要求1所述的高尔夫球棒手柄的把手,还包括:在该聚氨酯层的外面形成的增加摩擦图案;形成在该接缝外面的聚氨酯层内的热压通道,以便强化该接缝;在该接缝上的聚氨酯堆积物;在该接缝外面形成的增加摩擦图案的一部分,从而与形成在该聚氨酯层外面上的增加摩擦图案相合并。
18.如权利要求17所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该接缝倾斜地延伸穿过该片材。
19.如权利要求1所述的高尔夫球棒手柄的把手,该把手还包括:在该聚氨酯层的外面形成的增加摩擦图案;形成在该接缝外的聚氨酯层内的热压通道,以强化该接缝;在该通道内的聚氨酯堆积物;以及在该接缝外面的聚氨酯堆积物上形成增加摩擦图案的一部分,从而与形成在该聚氨酯层外面上的增加摩擦图案相合并。
20.如权利要求17所述的高尔夫球棒的把手,其特征在于,该弹性的下斜套筒包括形成有面朝下的凹槽的盖帽和形成有面朝上的周边凹槽的连接管嘴,该连接管嘴凹槽的外部由外围的唇缘来限定,该片材的上边缘被稳固地保持在该盖帽的凹槽内,通过该外围唇缘该片材的下边缘被稳固地保持在该连接管嘴的凹槽内。
