Abstract

A grip for the handle of a ball-striking appliance comprises an inner layer of flexible, cellular material such as expanded rubber, and an outer layer of substantially non-extensible material such as leather, the inner layer being cemented to both the shaft of the appliance and to the outer layer of the grip. The layers may comprise either helical windings of strip material, or sleeves.
