Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明总体涉及一种用于在安装有插件的构件上安装另一部件的自攻丝螺纹插件,涉及一种该插件和安装有该插件的构件的插件组件,并涉及一种在该构件上安装该插件的方法。
背景技术
一种工业组件中在构件上安装部件的方法使用旋入该构件并具有螺纹连接器的螺纹插件,另一螺纹部件可通过螺纹安装该螺纹连接器上。在该部件需要维护、修理或更换时这种结构允许该部件安装和拆卸。
在与本发明相关的调查中,值得注意的现有技术参考文献包括美国专利Lindsrom的3,789,725;Egner的3,942,406;Ziaylek,Jr.的4,003,287;McKinney的4,449,874;Russo的4,673,323;Hinkely等人的5,000,639;Engelhardt等人的5,071,301以及McKinney的5,211,520。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是提供改进的插件组件。
在实施所述目的过程中,本发明改进的插件组件包括一构件,该构件具有局部攻丝的孔延伸通过其中的表面。局部攻丝孔具有多圈的不变直径的螺纹并同样具有从不变直径螺纹延伸的锥形螺纹。该组件的自攻丝螺纹插件具有螺纹柄部,该柄部具有中心轴线和更多圈数的不变直径的螺纹,该直径比局部攻丝孔的不变直径略大,以便在旋入该局部攻丝孔时与其完全接合。该螺纹柄部具有从其不变直径螺纹延伸的锥形螺纹。螺纹柄部的锥形端部具有至少两个周向间隔开的凹槽,该凹槽延伸到并中止于该螺纹柄部的不变直径螺纹处,并且每个凹槽具有一对相互垂直延伸的平表面并具有与螺纹柄部的中心轴线成角度延伸的接合部。该插件具有从该螺纹柄部向外延伸的锁定凸缘。该锁定凸缘具有面向该柄部的锥形端部的锁定表面以便在该插件旋入该局部攻丝螺纹孔时提供该构件表面的锁定。该锁定凸缘具有用于给该插件施加扭矩以便安装在该构件上并从其上拆卸的驱动表面。该插件同样具有中央连接器,该连接器从该锁定凸缘延伸并具有将另一部件固定在该插件以及安装有该插件的构件上的螺纹。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种用于安装自攻丝螺纹插件的方法。
在实施所述目的过程中,用于安装本发明自攻丝螺纹插件的方法如下实施:局部攻丝通过构件表面的孔,使得该孔具有多圈不变直径的螺纹并具有从该不变直径螺纹延伸的锥形螺纹。自攻丝螺纹插件的螺纹柄部的锥形端部插入局部攻丝孔中,其中该插件的锥形端部具有至少两个延伸到并中止于螺纹柄部的不变直径处的周向间隔开的凹槽,每个凹槽具有一对相互垂直延伸的平表面并具有与该螺纹柄部的中心轴线成角度延伸的接合部。该插件旋入该局部攻丝孔中,使得柄部的不变直径的螺纹具有更多圈数,并且其直径略微大于局部攻丝孔的不变直径,并且螺纹柄部的锥形端部完全与孔接合。该插件在该插件的锁定凸缘的驱动表面上受到扭矩,使得该插件完全旋入该孔以便安装该插件时锁定凸缘的锁定表面锁定该插件的表面,其中中央连接器从该锁定凸缘延伸并具有将另一部件固定在该插件以及安装有该插件的构件上的螺纹。

具体实施方式
参考图1~3,自攻丝螺纹插件的一个实施例总体由20表示并构造成通过螺纹安装在图3所示的构件22上,其中以如下更详细描述的方法进行安装。当插件20由钛或不锈钢制成并用来在铝制构件上提供安装时具有特别用途;但是,当该插件由其他材料以便通过螺纹安装在由其他金属或材料制成的构件上时同样有用。构件22和自攻丝螺纹插件20相互协作以便提供本发明的插件组件24。用于在构件22上安装插件20的方法是本发明的另一方面,这将在此后更详细描述。自攻丝螺纹插件20、插件组件24和安装该插件的方法在下面以结合的方式进行描述以便有助于本发明所有方面的理解。
参考图1,自攻丝螺纹插件20包括螺纹柄部26,该柄部带有中心轴线A并包括不变直径的螺纹28以及包括具有锥形螺纹31的锥形端部30。螺纹柄部26的锥形端部30具有至少两个周向间隔开的凹槽32,并实际上在优选结构中具有四个周向间隔开的凹槽。该柄部的锥形端部30的凹槽32延伸到并终止于该螺纹柄部的不变直径的螺纹28处。
如图4和5所示,每个凹槽32具有一对相互垂直延伸的平表面34和36并具有与该螺纹柄部的中心轴线成角度延伸的接合部38。如图4所示,一个平表面34与通过中心轴线A的径向平面成间隔开并大致平行的关系,其中间隙由箭头40表示。在此后更详细描述的对于孔进行攻丝时此结构为该凹槽提供更大的储存切屑的能力。
如图1和2所示,插件20同样具有从螺纹柄部26向外延伸的锁定凸缘42并具有面向该柄部的锥形端部以便为锁定构件20的相对表面46(图8)提供锁定的锁定表面44,该插件以下面更详细描述的方式安装在该构件上。如图2所示的锁定凸缘42还具有为该插件提供安装和拆卸扭矩的驱动表面48。该插件的中央连接器50从锁定凸缘42延伸并具有将另一部件固定在该插件以及安装有该插件的构件上的螺纹。
如上所述,螺纹柄部26的锥形端部30最好具有四个周向间隔开的凹槽,该凹槽具有垂直的平表面34和36以及接合部38,并如所述延伸到并终止于该螺纹柄部的不变直径的螺纹28处。在图1~3所示的实施例中,如图8清楚所示的中央连接器50体现为螺纹孔54,该螺纹孔在螺纹柄部26内向该螺纹柄部的锥形端部30延伸。此螺纹孔54使得另一阳螺纹部件如所述连接到插件20以及安装有该插件的构件22上。在此实施例中,锁定凸缘42具有驱动面56,锁定凸缘的驱动表面48位于该驱动面中。此驱动面56定向在锁定凸缘42的锁定表面44的相对方向上并因此可由适当构造的工具接近以便与驱动表面48接合并如所需提供安装和拆卸该螺纹插件的扭矩。
参考图9,自攻丝螺纹插件的另一实施例总体由20’表示并具有以上结合图1~5和图8进行描述的相同构造的螺纹柄部。但是,在此实施例中,中央连接器50是从锁定凸缘42’沿中心轴线A延伸离开未示出的螺纹柄部的螺柱,该未示出的螺纹柄部具有与所述实施例的螺纹柄部相同的构造。锁定凸缘42’的驱动表面48’径向面向外离开中心轴线A并轴向位于该螺纹柄部和螺柱58之间而且具有六边形构形,通过该六边形使用传统扳手施加安装和拆卸的扭矩。
本发明的插件组件24现在将首先参考图6描述,图6表示出安装有该插件的构件22。此构件22包括表面46,所述的螺纹插件的锁定凸缘锁定该表面。更特别的是,所述表面46包括凹口62,使得该锁定凸缘和该插件可如图3所示平齐安装。图6所示的孔64通过表面46延伸并具有盲底部66,该底部表示为平的,如果构件22具有足够的厚度,该孔底部可以具有传统钻削加工的锥形形状。孔64接着如图7所示局部攻丝,以便具有多圈不变直径的螺纹68,并具有从不变直径的螺纹68向孔底部66延伸的锥形螺纹70。
于是图1所示的自攻丝螺纹插件20具有插入局部攻丝的孔64的锥形端部30。该插件的锥形端部30如所述具有周向间隔开的凹槽32,该凹槽具有所述的构造。螺纹插件20旋入局部攻丝的孔中,使得具有更多圈数并且其直径略微大于局部攻丝孔的不变直径螺纹68的不变直径的螺纹28和该螺纹柄部的锥形端部完全与该孔接合,如图8所示。更特别的是,更大的不变直径螺纹28将具有比孔螺纹68的外直径大1~4%的外直径。例如,如果图7所示的局部攻丝孔64具有设置有0.005英寸的公称外直径的不变直径的螺纹68,该插件的不变直径的螺纹的公称外直径将在大约0.505~0.520英寸的级别上。此结构确保插件20的不变直径螺纹28及其切削锥形端部30在旋入到图8的组装位置之后完全与该孔接合。
插件20在构件22中的最后组装步骤涉及到在其驱动表面26处给该插件施加扭矩使得锁定凸缘42的锁定表面44锁定构件22的表面46,此时该插件完全旋入到该孔中以便安装该插件,其中中央连接器50从该锁定凸缘延伸,该连接器带有用于将另一部件固定在该插件以及安装有该插件的构件上的连接器螺纹52。该插件的锥形端部30及其凹槽32提供了从图7所示的局部攻丝孔的状态到图8的完全攻丝位置的自攻丝,其中产生的切屑容纳在该凹槽中,该凹槽的尺寸足以容纳自攻丝产生的切屑。该插件螺纹与该构件的完全接合与带有环形构件表面46的锁定凸缘42所提供的液密密封相结合来提供液密连接。将注意到该插件柄部包括靠近锁定凸缘42的锁定表面44的环形凹口72(图8)以便在该插件受到扭矩进入其最后位置时确保在该柄部和该锁定凸缘之间没有干涉。
参考图10,该插件组装的方法表示成以局部攻丝该孔的步骤74来开始,随后是将该插件的螺纹柄部的锥形端部插入局部攻丝孔的步骤76,随后是将该插件旋入该局部攻丝孔中以便完成攻丝的步骤78,最后是给该插件施加扭矩使得该插件的锁定凸缘如上所述锁定该构件的步骤80。

Claims (2)
1.一种插件组件,其包括:
具有一表面的构件,局部攻丝孔延伸通过该表面,该局部攻丝孔具有多圈不变直径的螺纹,并还具有从该不变直径的螺纹延伸的锥形螺纹;
自攻丝螺纹插件,该插件具有螺纹柄部,该柄部带有中心轴线并包括更多圈不变直径螺纹并且其直径略微大于该局部攻丝孔的不变直径螺纹以便在旋入该局部螺纹孔时完全接合,该螺纹柄部具有从其不变直径螺纹延伸的锥形螺纹;
该螺纹柄部的锥形端部具有至少两个周向间隔开的凹槽,该凹槽延伸到并终止于该螺纹柄部的不变直径螺纹处,并且每个凹槽具有一对相互垂直延伸的平表面并具有与该螺纹柄部的中心轴线成角度延伸的接合部;
该插件具有锁定凸缘,该凸缘从该螺纹柄部向外延伸,该锁定凸缘具有面向该柄部的锥形端部以便当该插件旋入该局部攻丝孔时为该构件的表面提供锁定的锁定表面,并且该锁定凸缘具有为该插件提供扭矩以便安装在该构件上并从其上拆卸的驱动表面;以及
该插件具有中央连接器,该连接器从该锁定凸缘延伸并具有将另一部件固定在该插件上和安装有该插件的构件上的螺纹。
2.一种用于安装自攻丝螺纹插件的方法,其包括:
局部攻丝通过构件表面的孔,使得该孔具有多圈不变直径的螺纹并具有从该不变直径螺纹延伸的锥形螺纹;
自攻丝螺纹插件的螺纹柄部的锥形端部插入局部攻丝孔中,其中该插件的锥形端部具有至少两个延伸到并中止于螺纹柄部的不变直径处的周向间隔开的凹槽,每个凹槽具有一对相互垂直延伸的平表面并具有与该螺纹柄部的中心轴线成角度延伸的接合部;
该插件旋入该局部攻丝孔中,使得柄部的不变直径螺纹具有更多圈数,并且其直径略微大于局部攻丝孔的不变直径,并且螺纹柄部的锥形端部完全与孔接合;以及
在该插件的锁定凸缘的驱动表面上为该插件提供扭矩,使得该插件完全旋入该孔时锁定凸缘的锁定表面锁定该插件的表面,其中中央连接器从该锁定凸缘延伸并具有将另一部件固定在该插件以及安装有该插件的构件上的螺纹。
