Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及用高焊接速度连接塑料材料的一种方法和一种装置。
背景技术
众所周知,塑料材料借助激光束可以连接,其中面向激光束的上部材料被激光束穿射,在能透过激光束的上部材料与不透过激光束的下部材料之间的接触面上加热两块材料并以压力相互连在一起。能透过激光束的材料可以在光学上的可见波长范围内是黑色的。此外已知为此需要产生线形的激光束,其中在焊接过程中材料和激光束之间相对运动,以便产生希望的焊接轮廓。
根据这种穿射技术进行焊接过程的前提条件是塑料在红外线照射(IR-Bestrahlung)下的受热反应。涂有吸收红外线物质的塑料在受照射时吸收来自红外线光源(激光源)的热能从而变热。热能的集聚从而在塑料中达到的温度取决于能量的配给方式,例如能量密度和照射时间。此外还有材料特性例如导热性也很重要。焊接过程的决定性的步骤是从固态到液态的相过渡,下面也将称为熔化温度。为了达到熔化温度,由于塑料的导热性很低因此需要一定的加热时间。原则上可以用较高的吸收辐射剂量来缩短照射时间。但这一措施缩小了在其中可以进行过程参数的个体匹配的过程窗,从而使焊接质量明显变差。

根据本发明,这一技术问题在方法装置的技术解决方案是一种借助激光束连接塑料材料的装置,该激光束由于上面的材料的透明性而穿过该上面的材料,并在与下面的吸收激光束的材料的接触面上加热和熔化所述材料,该装置包括一个将所述材料压在一起的机构,其中,为了连接连续的材料,材料通过两个对向旋转的相互压在一起的辊引导,其中第一辊用一种能透过激光束的材料制成并设计成管状,第二辊用一种表面易变形的材料制成,在第一辊中设置用于在接触面上产生至少一个激光束的机构,该机构在接触区产生一种沿材料运动方向的线形激光束。
根据本发明的方法,该线形的加工区至少部分地借助一个帘式准直的激光束产生。在熔化区另外设置一个随后的点状激光束。相连的材料接着沿对应于第一辊的曲率方向被卷取。第一辊在材料接触到外表面之前被清洁。借助在第一辊中的一个掩模影响焊接轮廓。压紧力借助布置在第二辊上或表面部位中的压力传感器获得。在加工区之后借助一个高温计测量温度。
根据本发明的装置,在第一辊中设置一个机构用于红外线测量温度,其最好是设计成测量点可移动的。该机构在接触区接着线形激光束之后沿运动方向产生一种点状激光束。以及在第一辊的外周面上有一个清洁机构。
根据本发明的方法,为了产生一条沿纵向延伸的焊缝,设置一个加工区,在该加工区中,材料借助激光束在一个预热区连续地被加热到熔化温度,接着在一个熔化区熔化。加工区的第三阶段即冷却阶段没有被激光束覆盖。根据本发明,希望的较高焊接速度通过激光束覆盖区域的尺寸匹配实现。为此沿运动方向设置一个加长的加工区,其自动地延长了照射时间从而可以在较好的焊接质量前提下实现高的焊接速度。因此,焊接速度的提高可以通过延长加工区来实现。为此要求激光束以一种特殊照射形式实施,其使熔化过程和预热过程能够在一个紧凑的加工过程中同时进行。集成在激光束中的塑料预热过程(预热区)是可能实现的高焊接速度的一个重要特征。
为此,最好设置一个线形的加工区。该加工区至少部分地借助这样一种准直的激光束产生,该激光束在其宽度内可以通过相应的光学系统调节。在垂直方向,激光线的形状取决于接触面到激光光学系统的距离。
在本发明的方法中重要的是,沿运动方向对齐的线形激光束在整个加工区内到达接触面上。因此支承基础必须至少有相当于该长度的一个区域。
为了在达到熔化温度之后有附加能量用于焊接过程,根据本发明方法的另一种设计方案,在线形的照射区之后接着设置另一个高能量密度的点状激光束。
为了测量温度,也可以在该处设置一个高温计以进行温度的红外线测量,其中为了提供点状激光束以及为了红外线测量可以使用用于辐射导向的同一光学系统。通过这种测量可以观察熔化区并相应调整激光功率。
根据本发明的一种优选设计方案,通过两个对向转动的相互压在一起的辊引导材料,其中激光束通过能透过激光束的第一辊进到照射区。由此可以保证薄膜的相应的进给。这里重要的是,如前所述,接触面由线形的激光束遍及。这意味着,第一辊具有较大的直径。同时,根据本发明的另一种优选设计方案,第二辊设计成在外周面上很容易变形因此提供了一个理想的较长的加工区,因为两个辊之间的接触部位不是仅仅限于垂直于输送方向的一条线上。
此外,如开头所述,对本发明的方法来说重要的是,材料在压力下相互连在一起。这一点紧接着加工区之后进行。根据本发明方法的一种优选设计方案,材料在照射区已经被压在一起。
通过第二辊的变形,两块待连接的材料以相应的压力直接在熔融过程中压在一起。第二辊的变形也迫使两块被连接的材料相应于第一透明辊的半径弯曲。因此,必须使被连接的材料随后沿焊接过程出现的弯曲方向被卷起。对向转动的卷取不利于焊接连接以及相互连接的材料。在具有大半径的第一辊处这种弯曲效应最小。
透明的辊例如可以用玻璃、透明塑料如PMMA(聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯)或者其它合适的材料制成。为了使激光束在接触面上有希望的宽度,可以或者通过相应的光学系统产生希望宽度的射束,或者通过以足够的速度进行相应的来回扫描产生一个比激光线宽的照射区。为了使激光束通过第一辊施加到材料上,可以将一个相应的激光源设置在辊上。但该激光源最好设置在辊的外部,通过辊中相应的转向机构使激光束分布在希望的部位。
根据本发明方法的另一种设计方案,透明的第一辊在材料接触到外表面之前被清洁,以便去除可能粘在上面的来自材料的脏颗粒,从而不损害通过辊进行的焊接过程必需的能量传递。这一点,例如可以通过适当的刷子机械式地进行和/或通过压缩空气或真空、电的方式(抗静电涂层)或其它对当前应用场合合适的方式方法进行。
对最佳的连接来说另一个重要参数是施加必要的压力。为了控制该压力,可以借助布置在第二辊表面上的平面压力传感器获知这个压紧力,所述压力传感器是公知的并且商业上通用的。由压力传感器提供的值在一个与之相连的控制单元中分析并相应地调节一个辊,最好是可变形的那个辊。
为了产生一种不同于正常线形的焊接轮廓,可以在透明的辊上布置一个掩模。根据辐射质量,可以将该掩模布置在内部或外部。布置掩模的一种典型的例子是在辊旋转过程中掩模覆盖待焊接材料的一定部位,从而产生沿输送方向连续的间断焊缝。
用于连接连续材料的装置包括两个对向转动的相互压在一起的辊,其中第一辊由一种能透过激光束的材料制成并设计成管状,第二配对辊由一种表面可轻微变形的材料制成。此外,在第一辊中布置用于在接触面上产生至少一个激光束的机构。在这些机构中,可以是产生激光束的机构,也可以是将辊外部产生的激光束施加到希望位置上的转向机构。在外周面上可轻微变形的辊至少在外部范围内由一种以相应柔软性制造成的橡胶弹性材料。
根据本发明的一种优选设计方案,在第一辊中有一个用于红外线测量温度的机构,其最好是相对测量点可移动。这就可以检查希望的加工阶段和在控制机构中进行相应的分析。
用于产生至少一个激光束的机构在接触区产生一个沿材料运动方向布置的激光束。最好可以沿运动方向在该线形激光束后面再设置一个点状激光束。

具体实施方式
图1示出了带有帘式准直的激光束2的激光源1,所述激光束在塑料材料3上产生一个线形的照射区5。该照射区5的宽度d和长度D可由一个相应的光学系统影响。塑料材料3沿箭头方向以速度v移动。此外附图中还示出了温度T与路程x的温度曲线4。如图和线4所示,材料中的温度在预热区I持续升高,最后达到熔化温度。从这里开始熔化区II直到照射区5结束,其长度用D表示。此后温度在冷却区III开始下降。焊接过程的全部持续时间用P表示。
图2中为举例说明原理示出了一种结构,其示出了图1的帘式激光束2,该激光束照到沿箭头方向移动的材料3例如薄膜上。由激光源1产生的激光束借助一个转向机构6转向,该转向机构实现了一种可以垂直于材料3运动方向的相应运动。在激光源1的旁边可以设置另一个激光源7,和/或一个用于红外线测量的高温计。该机构具有一个可旋转的头部8,该头部允许沿材料可自由限定的运动,从而在此可以根据使用情况而逐点地附加加热或相应的温度测量,而不必替换光学元件9。用相应的高温计可以在沿着焊接线的任一个位置测量温度。点激光和高温计的使用也可以通过安装在线光源旁边集成在一起,也就是将点激光通过光学系统聚集到材料中并将热辐射经同样的光学路径聚集并导入高温计中。
图3示出了装置中的各个元件的示意布置方案。图中示意表示了在一个透明辊17中的一个激光源11。这只是示例性的,因为原则上也可以而且实践中也更容易实现的是使用一个转向镜6,如图4所示。激光源11产生了一个帘式激光束12,该激光束在例如用石英玻璃或PMMA制成的透明辊17和例如用橡胶弹性材料制成的易变形的辊18之间的部位16产生一个线形的照射区。薄膜形的材料13,14由辊21及22展直并在两个对向旋转的被动辊17和18之间通过。材料的前进通过驱动辊25和26实现。易变形的配对辊18在压紧力方面可调节,如箭头13所示。相互连接的薄膜13,14在两个辊17,18之间按照辊17的曲率稍微弯曲。因此以焊缝15相互连接的薄膜24在继续运行时绕辊17引导并以相同的曲率卷到卷绕辊20上。如图所示,通过配对辊18的变形实现了一个比照射区16更长的较长压紧面。
在该实施例中两块材料相互连在一起。原则上也可以将三块材料相互连在一起,其中当中间的材料足够薄时,在接触面上产生的热量就传递到第三块薄膜上。
附图中还用19表示了一个刷子形状的清洁机构。此外,在图中没有示出,但对专业人士来说很容易想到并实现在辊17中设置一个或多个掩模,以便产生一定轮廓的焊缝15。另外在第二辊18的外周面上可以设置平面的压力传感器(图中未示出),通过该压力传感器可以控制压紧力。也可以为辊18设置一个橡胶弹性的外套,将传感器放在该外套下面。
借助这样一种装置,在激光功率为70W、焊接线长15毫米情况下可以实现每秒400毫米的焊接速度。在点状焊接或者用激光束垂直于运动方向在相同宽度(1毫米)的情况下,焊接过程要慢15倍。
图4再次放大示出了透明辊17和易变形的辊18,其中在辊17中设置一个转向镜6,该转向镜使来自激光源的激光束转向到线16上。

Claims (13)

1.用于连接连续的塑料材料的方法,其中借助一个激光束使上面的材料被激光束穿透,在上面的透明材料和下面的不能透过激光束的材料之间的接触面上,两块材料熔化并在压力下相互连接在一起,其中激光束和待连接的材料相对运动,为了产生纵向的焊缝在接触面上设置一个加工区(P),在该加工区,材料借助激光束在预热区(I)被持续加热到熔化温度,然后在熔化区(II)熔化,其中,所述材料在激光束(2)的照射区(D)范围内已经压在一起,其特征在于,所述材料通过两个对向旋转的相互压在一起的辊(17,18)引导,其中激光束(12)通过一个能透过激光束的第一辊(17)到达照射区,并设置一个线形的加工区(P),第二辊(18)由于第一辊(17)作用而在周向稍微变形。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,该线形的加工区(P)至少部分地借助一个帘式准直的激光束(2)产生。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,在熔化区(II)另外设置一个随后的点状激光束。
4.根据权利要求1-3中之一所述的方法,其特征在于,相连的材料接着沿对应于第一辊(17)的曲率方向被卷取。
5.根据权利要求1-3中之一所述的方法,其特征在于,第一辊(17)在材料接触到外表面之前被清洁。
6.根据权利要求1-3中之一所述的方法,其特征在于,借助在第一辊中的一个掩模影响焊接轮廓。
7.根据权利要求1-3中之一所述的方法,其特征在于,压紧力借助布置在第二辊(18)上或表面部位中的压力传感器获得。
8.根据权利要求1-3中之一所述的方法,其特征在于,在加工区(P)之后借助一个高温计测量温度。
9.借助激光束(12)连接塑料材料的装置,该激光束由于上面的材料(13)的透明性而穿过该上面的材料,并在与下面的吸收激光束的材料(14)的接触面上加热和熔化所述材料,该装置包括一个将所述材料压在一起的机构,其特征在于,为了连接连续的材料,材料通过两个对向旋转的相互压在一起的辊(17,18)引导,其中第一辊(17)用一种能透过激光束的材料制成并设计成管状,第二辊(18)用一种表面易变形的材料制成,在第一辊(17)中设置用于在接触面上产生至少一个激光束(12)的机构(11),该机构(11)在接触区产生一种沿材料运动方向的线形激光束(12)。
10.根据权利要求9所述的装置,其特征在于,在第一辊(17)中设置一个机构(7)用于红外线测量温度。
11.根据权利要求10所述的装置,其特征在于,所述用于红外线测量温度的机构(7)设计成测量点可移动。
12.根据权利要求10所述的装置,其特征在于,机构(11)在接触区接着线形激光束之后沿运动方向产生一种点状激光束。
13.根据前述权利要求9-12之一所述的装置,其特征在于,在第一辊(17)的外周面上有一个清洁机构(19)。
