本发明大体上涉及装置,更具体地讲,涉及一种整体浇口和腔嵌入件,该整体浇口和腔嵌入件具有一条或多条由此通过而延伸的冷却流体流动通道,该冷却流体通道交替地既向前和后又向内和外延伸。
一些具有冷却流体流动通道的注入成型用浇口和腔嵌入件已广为人知,它们构成腔的一部分,而浇口则通过腔而延伸,用以将熔料从加热喷嘴输送至腔中。例如,于1986年11月11日授予Bright等人的美国专利4622001公布了一种两部分组成的嵌入件,这种嵌入件具有在径向交替向内和向外延伸的冷却流体流动通道或室,用以通过加长冷却流体流动路径和将冷却流体置于更接近腔来改进冷却。于1995年8月22日授予Gellert的美国专利5443381公开了一种整体浇口和腔嵌入件,它具有使冷却流体流动室或通道交替地向前和向后延伸的肋部分,以提供改进的冷却和更高的结构强度。
虽然上述结构对许多应用来说是令人满意的,但在以某些腔的结构和尺寸模制某些材料时,还希望对腔和浇口区域提供另外的冷却。
因此,本发明的一个目的就是通过提供具有一条或多条交替地既向前和后又向内和外延伸的冷却流流动通道的整体受冷却的浇口和腔嵌入件至少部分地克服现有技术的缺陷。
为此目的,根据其一个方面,本发明提供了一种安装在模具中加热喷嘴和腔之间的注入成型用整体浇口和腔嵌入件。浇口和腔嵌入件包含一个具有凹陷部分以安放喷嘴的后表面,和一个形成腔的后表面的一部分的前表面。一个浇口从后表面沿中心通过浇口和腔嵌入件延伸至前表面用以将熔料从喷嘴输送至腔中。浇口和腔嵌入件包含一个具有一个或多个由此向内延伸的冷却流体入口和出口的外表面。浇口和腔嵌入件还具有从一个冷却流体入口由此通过延伸至一个冷却流体出口的一条或多条冷却流体流动通道。在浇口和腔嵌入件中的每条冷却流体流动通道交替地既向前和后又向内和外地延伸。
本发明的其它目的和优点将通过下述参照附图的说明变得更为清晰。
图1是一个多腔注入成型系统的一部分的截面图,它展示了本发明最佳实施例提出的一种浇口和腔嵌入件;
图2是一个等量图,它表示图1所示的浇口和腔嵌入件的、处于待组装位置的浇口和腔嵌入件的内部分和外部分;
图3是图1所示组装后的浇口和腔嵌入件的横截面图;

首先参看图1,图中展示了一种多腔注入成型系统或装置的一部分,它具有根据本发明的最佳实施例提出的、安装在模具12中加热喷嘴14和腔16之间的整体浇口和腔嵌入件10。尽管,根据不同应用模具12可具有很多的板,但在此处为说明方便起见只展示了由螺栓22固定在一起的一块喷嘴夹持板18和一块后板20,以及一块腔夹持板24和一块脱模板26。
每个浇口和腔嵌入件10具有一个外表面28、一个后表面30、一个前表面32和一个浇口34,此浇口34从后表面30沿中心由此通过延伸至前表面32,以使将熔料从喷嘴14输送至腔16。外表面28大致为圆筒形状,它具有一个向外延伸的圆形法兰部分36,此法兰部分36安装在腔夹持板24的圆形底座38中,以便将浇口和腔嵌入件10精确地定位在模具12中。浇口和腔嵌入件10的后表面30具有一个凹陷部分40,它构成一个喷嘴井,用以安放加热喷嘴14。
熔料通道42在钢质熔料分配总管44中分支,并通过每一加热喷嘴14中的一个中心熔料孔46延伸至通向腔16的浇口34。熔料分配总管44具有一个圆柱形入口部分48,并由一件组合式电加热元件50进行加热。熔料分配总管44由一个中心定位环52和若干隔热和弹性的垫片件54安装在喷嘴夹持板18与后板20之间,这些垫片件54在加热总管44与围绕着的模具12之间形成了一个隔热空气空间56。
每一喷嘴14具有一个组合式电加热元件58和一个后端60,此后端60紧靠着熔料分配总管42。在此结构中,在每一加热喷嘴14中装有一个带有螺旋形叶片64和一个向前指向的尖端66的鱼雷形部件62。每一加热喷嘴14还具有一个法兰部分68,它装配在总管夹持板18中的圆形底座70中。这使带有鱼雷形部件62的尖端66的加热喷嘴14与浇口34精确对准,并在加热喷嘴14和围绕着的模具12之间形成了一个隔热空气空间72,模具12借助泵送冷却流体通过冷却管道74而得到冷却。
在此实施例中,浇口和腔嵌入件10的前表面32构成腔16的后表面78。在这种情况下,腔16用于加工容器罩子,并在浇口和腔嵌入件10与模心80之间延伸,模心80通过脱模环82而延伸。模心80由通过中心冷却通道84流动的冷却水冷却。
现在参看图2-4以详细地说明本发明提出的浇口和腔嵌入件10。如由图2可见,浇口和腔嵌入件10由一个大体上为圆柱形的内部分86和一个大体上为圆柱形的外部分88构成。外部分88通常由诸如不锈钢的适当致密材料制成,而内部分86最好由H13工具钢制成,这种H13工具钢更为导热,并更抗热冲击。内部分86装配在外部分88的中心圆柱形开口90中。内部分86具有一个向前伸出的圆柱形前端部分92,浇口34通过它而延伸,该前端部分92装配在一个较小的圆柱形开口94中以形成浇口和腔嵌入件10的前表面32的一部分。如图可见,内部分86形成喷嘴井40,加热喷嘴14延伸到其中。
浇口和腔嵌入件10的外部分具有大体上为圆柱形的外表面28,它从向外延伸的法兰部分36向前延伸。在此实施例中,它被机械加工成具有两条以迂回路径、由此通过延伸的冷却流体流动通道96、98。流动通道96、98分别从一对冷却流体入口100、102延伸至一对出口104、106。此对流体入口100、102从外表面28向内延伸,此对出口104、106又向外延伸至外表面28。出口104、106与入口100、102相对,且两条冷却流体通道96、98围绕浇口和腔嵌入件10沿相互相对的方向延伸。再参看图1,在其间具有一个薄分隔板108的两个冷却流体入口100、102与一条通过腔夹持板24而延伸的冷却流体导管110对准以接受诸如水的合适冷却流体。在两个冷却流体出口104、106之间也具有一个薄分隔板112,它们类似地与另一条通过腔夹持板24而延伸的冷却流体导管114对准以接受来自两个出口的冷却流体。分隔板108、112具有刀刃状边缘109、113以避免妨碍水的流动。两条冷却流体流动通道96、98的迂回路径116、118在图4和5得以看得最为清楚。每条通道96、98首先沿圆周方向延伸一个短距离,然后向后延伸一个短距离,接着向内、向外通过该通道的U形部分120,接着向前返回延伸一个短距离,然后再沿圆周方向延伸。在所示的结构中,此循环流动路径或形状在每个入口100、102与出口104、106之间重复三次。冷却流体流动通道96、98的这种路径或形状交替地既向前和向后又向内和向外地延伸,其优点是能延长流动通道的长度、增加湍流流动,并使流动通道更靠近腔16,所有这些都能改进冷却效率,同时保持总是承受着高的夹紧压力的模具的结构强度。
浇口和腔嵌入件10是通过将内部96嵌入至外部分88中而制成的。沿着它们之间的接合处施用一种镍合金焊膏,然后将它们置于真空炉中逐渐加热至镍合金熔点以上的约1925°F。当炉子加热时,它被抽至较高的真空,以基本去除所有氧气,然后用诸如氩或氮的惰性气体进分部分再充气。当达到镍合金的熔点时,它熔化,并在内部分86的外表面122和外部分88的内表面124之间流动。由于毛细作用,镍合金分布在表面122、124之间以整体地将两个部分86、88焊接在一起,从而形成整体的浇口和腔嵌入件10。用这种方法将它们在真空炉中焊接在一起能获得镍合金与钢的金相结合,从而使嵌入件的强度达到最大,并防止冷却水的渗漏。
在使用中,注入成型装置或系统按图1所示地进行组装。虽然为说明方便起见,只展示了单个腔16,但应理解的是,根据不同用途通常熔料分配总管44可具有延伸至多个腔16的多条熔料通道分支。向总管44和喷嘴14中的加热元件50、58通电以便将它们加热至预定的运行温度。水或其它合适的冷却流体以预定温度输至冷却通道84及冷却导管74和110以冷却模具12及浇口和腔嵌入件10。然后,热的加压料从模制机(未示出)通过中心入口126按预定的周期以常规方法注入熔料通道42中。熔料通过加热喷嘴14中的熔料孔46及浇口34流入腔16。当腔16充满时,注入压力瞬间升至峰值,然后释放。在一个短暂的冷却期后,模具12打开进行出坯。出坯后,模具12闭合,重新施加熔料注射压力以重新填充腔16。此循环以一定的频率不断重复,该频率决定于腔16的尺寸及模制材料的类型。
虽然对具有冷却流体流动通道的注入成型用整体浇口和腔嵌入物的说明是根据本发明的最佳实施例给出的,但显然,在不偏离本技术领域的一般技术人所理解的和由下述权利要求限定的范围的情况下,本发明还可能有各种其它修改方案。例如在一个替代性实施例中可以只有一条流动通道,该流动通道从邻近出口的入口围绕浇口和腔嵌入件而延伸,且流动通道具有上述相同的循环路径或形状。

Claims (3)

1、一种安装在模具中加热喷嘴和腔之间的注入成型用整体浇口和腔嵌入件,该浇口和腔嵌入件包含一个具有凹陷部分以安放喷嘴的后表面、一个形成腔的后表面的至少一部分的前表面、一个从后表面沿中心由此通过延伸至前表面用以将熔料从喷嘴输送至腔的浇口,以及一个具有由此向内延伸的至少一个冷却流体入口和至少一个冷却流体出口的外表面,浇口和腔嵌入件还具有至少一条由此通过从冷却流体入口延伸至冷却流体出口的冷却流体流动通道,其特征在于:
在浇口和腔嵌入件中的至少一条冷却流体流动通道交替地既向前和后又向内和外地延伸。
2、如权利要求1的整体浇口和腔嵌入件,其特征在于,外表面为圆柱形。
3、如权利要求2的整体浇口和腔嵌入件,其特征在于,有两个冷却流体入口、两个与冷却流体入口相对的冷却流体出口和两条冷却流体流动通道,每条冷却流动流动通道沿相互相对的方向围绕浇口和腔嵌入件从冷却流体入口延伸至冷却流体出口。
