Abstract

技术领域
总的来说,本发明涉及一种与相关的容器一起使用的塑料闭合盖(closure),特别是涉及一种包含柔性密封边缘(flap)和环形压力卷边或壁的无衬垫闭合盖,所述卷边或壁与密封边缘配合,将密封边缘按压在容器口(finish)上进行密封。
背景技术
为了封闭和密封容器内的物品,那种用于容器模制成型的塑料闭合盖越来越普遍了,例如用于碳酸饮料或非碳酸饮料、调味品和其他食品的密封,以及用于非食品产品、例如机油的密封。尽管很多塑料闭合盖结构已经被人们知道很多年了,还是要进行特定地设计,以使期望的密封更加有效、并且便于高速生产和使用这种闭合盖。
为了获得所需要的密封效果,许多上述已知的闭合盖结构都具有合成物的特征,包括具有相对刚性的外部塑料壳和相对易弯曲和柔软的内部密封衬垫。这种带衬垫的闭合盖,可以根据、例如以普通转让方式转让的美国专利4,343,754、4,378,893、4,407,422和4,497,795来制造,它们已被证明能够有效地用在容器上,包括具有碳酸物质或其他压力物品的容器。所需要的密封性能是通过构造下述闭合盖结构而获得的,包括一个相对刚性的和强硬的带螺纹的外部闭合盖,并带有一个就地成型的抵靠在盖的端壁部分上的衬垫。这些专利所述的闭合盖构造成所谓的顶部/侧面密封,其中衬垫能够与相应容器的大致朝上的表面以及容器的大致朝外的侧面都密封啮合。
而在另一方面,与带有衬垫的闭合盖相比,无衬垫的闭合盖具有简化制造以及减少材料成本的优点。但是,到现在为止知道的无衬垫闭合盖并不能象带衬垫的闭合盖那样提供有效密封。在无衬垫闭合盖中,密封表面是用与闭合盖其他元件相同的材料模制而成的。实施高效密封所必需的弹性性能要受闭合盖的其他元件的设计要求的不利影响,例如用于塞实的加强元件以及螺纹的结构要求。因此,选择闭合盖材料的工作成了平衡工作,特别是当容器的内容物为压力物品时更是如此。
例如,在美国专利5,259,522、4,540,102、4,061,240、5,782,369、5,609,263、4,196,818、3,203,571、4,276,989、4,598,835和4,450,973中公开了无衬垫型闭合盖。
在不利的条件下获得长时间密封的能力以及保持长时间密封的能力是非常重要的。这种不利条件包括“隆起”(即,闭合盖端壁的材料塑料变形,使得端壁向外隆起)和“松弛”(即,在仓库中堆叠瓶子时的顶部负载)。
本发明者认识到人们期望获得一种改进的无衬垫的闭合盖,它能够在不利的条件下保持有效的长时间密封。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种改进的长时间持久密封的无衬垫闭合盖。该闭合盖包括一个壳体,它具有一个端壁和一个悬垂的侧壁或环形外围物(skirt)。在该壳体内,侧面密封突起或者密封边缘从侧壁上沿径向向内延伸。垂直的突起从壳体的端壁上沿轴向延伸。在端壁处,在垂直突起和壳体侧壁之间形成有沿径向的弹性结构。
当该闭合盖壳体装配并紧密安装到容器口上时,例如安装到瓶颈上时,所述边缘在瓶子口的作用下弯曲,并弯曲抵靠在垂直突起上。该边缘足够长以能够密封并抵靠在容器口的侧面区域,并环绕容器口的半径,还抵压着容器口的顶面。容器口的顶面沿轴向将边缘压在闭合盖壳体的端壁上,并且容器口的侧面沿径向将边缘压在垂直突起上。所述边缘具有一个或多个弯曲处,以使所述边缘能够更好地符合多种密封表面。
所述边缘夹持在容器口的侧面和垂直突起之间。沿轴向的弹性结构可以是格栅状联接板(gusset)结构,并构造成起多个弹簧的作用,它能够以弹性迫使垂直突起抵压在边缘上并且使边缘抵压在容器口的侧面。即使闭合盖端壁隆起或者松弛,联接板结构的弹簧作用也能够保持在容器口的侧面和垂直突起之间保持边缘密封所需要的径向力。
根据本发明,也可以采用其他弹性结构来代替格栅状联接板结构。例如,可以采用具有足够弹性的固体环形元件来沿径向以弹性迫使垂直突起抵压在所述边缘上。

尽管本发明容许实施例表现为多种不同型式,但是应将附图所示的本发明以及这里要详细描述的特定实施例理解为:这里公开的内容仅是对本发明原理的实例化描述,并不欲将本发明限定为图示的特定实施例。
图1表示了一个用于安装到容器、例如瓶子上的闭合盖10。尽管从这一角度来说,本发明将以应用到瓶子上的方式进行描述,也应该理解到,本发明可以应用到多种容器上,所有这些都包含在本发明中。图示闭合盖的实施例特别适合用于盛放碳酸饮料的瓶子。
闭合盖10最好由聚丙烯制成,包括一个圆形端壁14和一个悬垂侧壁或环形外围物16。环形外围物16包括与瓶子颈部螺纹相啮合的螺纹18。环形外围物16的一端包括一个防窃条20。防窃条20包括一个环形条部分22,从其上向内延伸有多个沿圆周间隔布置的、相对柔性的瓶子啮合突起24。防窃条在美国专利5,259,522,5,205,4236和5,800,764中加以了详细描述,所有这些专利都作为参考文献包含在本文中。
如图2所示,根据本发明,闭合盖10包括一个环形密封边缘32,它从环形外围物14沿径向向内延伸。密封边缘32包括一个从侧壁16沿径向向内延伸的基部36,和一个从基部沿径向向内延伸的端部38。基部36从侧壁16的表面上以锐角A延伸。基部36和端部38具有大致相同的厚度并且在弯曲处37以钝角B形成在一起。
有一个环形垂直凸缘或垂直元件44从端壁14沿轴向向内延伸。垂直元件44具有下述内径,即,当闭合盖紧密地安装到瓶子上时,垂直元件能够夹持密封边缘32,使之抵靠在瓶子口的外表面上。
如图3所示,垂直元件44通过一个沿径向的柔性的结构连接到侧壁16上、这种柔性结构的例子包括环形弹性件。例如基本上固态的由弹性材料的环形件,占据图5中标记50所指示的区域。在优选实施例中,弹性件由格栅状联接板结构构成,如图3所示,其将在点52-1,52-2,52-3等点处的闭合盖的侧壁连接至在点46-1,46-2和46-3等处的垂直元件44。
在优选实施例中,垂直元件44通过多个沿径向设置的、V形元件或桁架50,沿着其圆周在间歇点46-1,46-2,46-3,...46-n处被连接。点46-1,46-2,46-3,46-n在V形元件的顶点50a处。桁架50包括支腿50b,它们相互连接并且在端部50c处以点52-1,52-2,52-3,...52-n连接到侧壁16上,这些点沿着侧壁16的内圆周间歇设置。支腿50b以锐角C相对于径向R设置。
图4表示了安装到具有瓶口F的瓶颈100上的闭合盖10。边缘32被瓶口F的顶面F1压到端壁14上。瓶口F的侧面F2被边缘32沿径向按压到垂直元件44上。
边缘32和垂直元件44的“松弛”状态以虚线表示。“松弛”意味着边缘32还未与旋入闭合盖内的瓶子口相接触。在松弛状态,位于闭合盖中心线CL与弯曲处37之间的距离Y选择为小于垂直元件44的内边缘与中心线CL之间的距离X。上述关系适合于一旦在闭合盖紧密地装配到瓶口F上之后弯曲的边缘32的弓形形状。
位于闭合盖和瓶口之间的密封边缘32在两处密封,即,在顶口F1和端壁14之间,以及在侧面口F2和垂直元件44之间。这就保证了在端壁14产生变形的情况下形成有效密封。由于弹性件45施加了将边缘32按压到瓶子100的外侧口F2上的径向弹性力,所以,即使闭合盖的端壁14变形、即隆起或者松弛,也能够保持有效密封。
如上所述,应该看出在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,本发明可以做出多种变型和改进。应该理解到,本发明并非局限于本文所示的特定设备,也不能推断出这一结论。由此,本发明意欲通过所附的权利要求来覆盖所有落入权利要求范围内的改进形式。
Claims (12)
1.一种闭合盖,包括:
一个壳体,它具有一个端壁和一个悬垂的侧壁;
一个沿径向延伸的密封边缘,它从所述侧壁向内延伸;
一个环形垂直元件,它从所述端壁上延伸并且当所述闭合盖装配到容器上时,被所述密封边缘沿径向啮合;以及
一个弹性元件,它设置在所述垂直元件和所述侧壁之间,以当所述闭合盖装配到容器上时弹性地将所述垂直元件按压在所述密封边缘上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的闭合盖,其特征在于,在松弛状态下,所述密封边缘沿径向以倾斜角从所述侧壁表面上在远离所述端壁的方向上延伸。
3.根据权利要求1所述的闭合盖,其特征在于,在松弛状态下,所述密封边缘具有一个基部和一个端部,它们以钝角在径向上一起形成。
4.根据权利要求1所述的闭合盖,其特征在于,所述弹性元件包括一个环形格栅状结构,该环形格栅状结构具有从径向上以锐角设置的元件。
5.根据权利要求3所述的闭合盖,其特征在于,所述闭合盖具有一垂直中线,在所述基部与所述端部相连处的所在点之间的第一径向距离小于所述垂直元件的内表面与所述中线之间的第二径向距离。

7.一种容器密封系统,包括:

一个闭合盖壳体,它具有一个端壁和一个侧壁,所述侧壁具有用于与所述颈部上的螺纹啮合的内部螺纹;
所述闭合盖壳体具有一个沿径向延伸的密封边缘和一个从所述端壁上延伸的环形垂直元件,所述垂直元件的内径大于所述容器颈部的密封口的直径;
所述密封边缘制成下述尺寸并设置成下述形式,即能够被所述密封口沿轴向按压在所述端壁上,并且被所述密封口沿径向按压在所述垂直元件上;以及
一个形成在所述垂直元件和所述侧壁之间的弹性元件,以沿径向将所述垂直元件按压在所述密封边缘上。
8.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其特征在于,在松弛状态下,所述密封边缘沿径向以倾斜角从所述侧壁的表面在远离所述端壁的方向上延伸。
9.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其特征在于,在松弛状态下,所述密封边缘具有一个基部和一个端部,所述基部和端部以钝角在径向上形成在一起。
10.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其特征在于,所述弹性元件包括一个环形格栅状结构,该环形格栅状结构具有从径向上以锐角设置的元件。
