Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及在记录介质,比如可写高密度数字通用光盘(以下简称为‘HD-DVD’)上记录多信道数据流的方法和装置,其使得在再生时构成多信道数据流的数字信道子流可以相互区分。

背景技术
由于视频/音频数据压缩、数字调制/解调等领域的技术进步,以数字数据流的形式广播TV信号的数字电视广播系统正在快速地标准化。
在数字电视广播系统中,根据MPEG2(运动图像专家组)指定的数据压缩规则压缩将要广播的音频/视频(A/V)信号,压缩的A/V数据以传输流(TS,也是在MPEG2标准中定义的,由连续的188字节长的传输分组(TP)构成)的形式进行广播。
由于A/V数据压缩和传输的技术进步而快要商品化的数字TV广播系统可以支持比模拟TV系统更高质量的视频和音频。另外,它确保了与数字通信设备、数字存储设备等等的数据兼容性。
同时,正在开发新的设备以为数字TV广播系统的商品化作准备。这就是可以接收数字广播节目的TS并将其记录在可写HD-DVD上的数字记录器。一旦数字TV广播系统真的实现了商品化,这样的数字记录器就将得到广泛的应用。
单个的物理广播信道(通常称为“RF信道”)的带宽大约为6MHz,这可以保证19.4Mbps的数据率。这个数据率可以承载单个的HD-TV广播信号或者大约4个SD-TV信号。在RF信道中这样的承载SD-TV信号的逻辑或虚拟信道称为“数字信道”。
也就是说,单个的RF信道有时包括几个数字信道,即承载互不相同的广播节目的子信道。
因此,正在开发的DVD记录器可能需要应用户的请求同时记录两个或更多的数字信道。但是,如果DVD记录器通过与单个数字信道时一样的方式记录多个数字信道并且创建管理信息,则DVD可能无法在多个数字信道的记录流中区分数字信道。也就是说,用户无法在记录的多个数字信道中仅仅选择一个节目,即一个数字信道来进行再生。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是提供一种在记录介质上记录多信道流的方法和装置,通过管理信息和/或全部或部分地通过分区记录,使得在再生模式中,多信道流中的子流可以相互区分开。
根据本发明的在记录介质上记录多信道的方法包括如下步骤:将由属于多个信道的子流构成的多信道流分离为单独的子流,并将单独的子流分别记录到记录介质中分配的多个流对象中;为记录在多个流对象中的多信道流中包含的每个子流创建搜索信息,并将所创建的搜索信息记录在记录介质上。
根据本发明的在记录介质上记录多信道的装置包括:数据接收机,用于接收数字广播信号的至少一个RF信道,以输出由属于所选的多个子信道的子流构成的多信道流;记录装置,用于将多信道流分离为单独的子流,在记录介质中分配的多个流对象中分别记录单独的子流,为记录在多个流对象中的多信道流中的每个子流创建搜索信息,并将创建的搜索信息记录在记录介质上。
根据本发明,还提供了一种在记录介质上记录多信道的装置,包括:调谐器(10),用于接收数字广播信号,并根据一RF选择信号将其通频带调谐至所述数字广播信号的至少一个RF信道;记录装置,其包括流选择器(11),记录处理器(12),光学拾取器(13),和控制器(14),其中,所述流选择器根据所述控制器提供的信道选择信号,从所述调谐器通过的RF信道的数据流中选择出属于特定数字信道的多个子流,所述记录处理器根据来自控制器的信号,将所选择的子流记录在高密度流对象中,并为每一个记录的子流创建搜索信息,所述光学拾取器将所述记录处理器输出的子流和搜索信息记录在记录介质上,其中,所述RF选择信号由所述控制器产生。

优选实施例详述
为了帮助完全理解本发明,以下参照附图说明本发明的优选实施例。
图1是根据本发明的记录多信道流的装置的方框图。
图1的装置可以是能够在记录介质(比如可写HD-DVD)上记录数字广播信号的数字视频记录器(DVR)。该装置包括:调谐器10,将其通频带调谐至数字广播TV信号的至少一个RF带宽;流选择器11,从通过调谐器10的一个或多个RF信道的数据流中选择属于选定数字信道(或子信道)的多个子流;记录处理器12,根据预定的记录模式在单个或多个HOB(高密度流对象)中记录所选择的子流,为每个记录的子流创建并写入导航数据;光学拾取器13,根据记录处理器12输出的流和导航数据的比特模式在HD-DVD 100上形成标记/空白图形;以及控制器14,为多流记录的所有元件进行总体控制操作。
调谐器10通过一个数字广播TV信道,即控制器14选择的RF信道。流选择器11提取属于由控制器14从调谐器10通过的RF信道的多信道流中选择的几个(例如2个)数字信道的传输分组(TP)。流选择器11提取的TP序列以单个流201或者相互区分的多个流2021和202,的形式输出,如图2所示。
调谐器10也可以通过多个RF信道。在多通模式中,流选择器11也可以从各个RF信道中提取多于一个的子流,以输出属于从各RF信道提供的可用信道中选择的数字信道的TP序列。
为方便解说起见,假设以下所述的所有实施例中,流选择器11从接收到的多信道流中选择2个子流,即2个数字信道。
记录处理器12可以根据写在流选择器11输出的每个TP中的分组ID(PID)相互区分出2个数字信道子流,即第一和第二子流。
根据预设的记录模式记录第一和第二数字信道子流。如图3所示,如果预设的记录模式是“单独”,则记录处理器12在两个分配的HOB301和302中,依照它们从流选择器12中为每个数字信道接收的顺序,分别记录两个复用的子流。
为了在多个HOB中分别记录多个子流,记录处理器12需要有足够的缓冲容量。另外,当记录处理器12进行数据缓冲时,光学拾取器13在分配的多个HOB之间移动,并在目标HOB中一次记录全部的缓冲数据。
而且,记录处理器12根据区分的数字信道信息和每个子流记录信息为每一个数字信道子流,即为每个HOB创建导航数据。下面将详细说明导航数据的创建。
图3显示了根据本发明为记录在多个HOB中的多个数字信道子流创建导航数据的第一实施例。
用于记录数字广播信号的记录介质具有暂行标准。根据该暂行记录标准,记录介质应该具有为每个记录节目的索引和为它们的再生顺序准备的节目链信息(PGCI)。PGCI包括节目信息(PGI)和单元信息(CI),它们是为每个从记录起始到记录结束连续记录的数据流分别创建的。而且,根据该暂行记录标准,也应该为记录的数据流创建单个的显示时间映射(PTMAP)。用于流搜索的PTMAP具有用于每个组成记录数据流的数据单元的位置数据或位置相关的时间长度数据的集合。每个PTMAP的搜索指针和信息包含在HOB信息(HOBI)内。
然而,在本记录方法中,通过多信道流的一次性记录而形成多个,而不是单个的HOB。因此,如图3所示,对于分别处于两个HOB中的两个子流,创建两个PGI‘PGI #1和PGI #2’和两个CI‘单元#1和单元#2’,并为两个PTMAP创建两个PTMAPI。

图4中的PGCI包括节目链一般信息‘PGC_GI’、多条PGI‘PGI #1至#n’、多个CI搜索指针‘CI_SRP #1至#m’,多个CI‘CI #1至#m’。每条PGI包括节目类型字段‘PG_TY’和CI数目‘C_Ns’。然而,由于单个PGI与单个CI关联,所以可以不分配CI数目‘C_Ns’。如果分配,‘1’总是写在‘C_Ns’字段中。

例如,第一和第二子流的数字信道号写在两个CI‘CI #1和#2’的子字段‘C_CH_N’中,‘CI #1和#2’分别引用图3中的HOB 301和302,其中分别包含两个数字信道的两个子流。
如图5所示,HOBI通过包含在每条CI中的字段‘HOBI_SRPN’与CI链接,包含HOBI一般信息‘HOBI_GI’、多个PTMAP搜索指针‘PTMAP_SRP #1至#n’和多条PTMAP信息‘PTMAPI #1至#n’。
HOBI一般信息‘HOBI_GI’包含多个HOB类型字段‘HOB_TY’、HOB记录时间‘HOB_REC_TM’、HOB起始PTM、HOB结束PTM、PTMAP数目‘PTMAP_Ns’和所有PTMAP的起始地址‘PTMAP_SA #i’。
PTMAPI包含PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’和随机访问HOB单元(HOBU)的入口‘HOBU_ENT #1至#j’。PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’包含:视频‘V_PID’和音频分组ID‘A_PID’字段,指示构成与PTMAP关联的记录流的各个音频和视频TP的PID;HOBI索引号‘HOBI_STIN’;随机访问HOBU的数目‘HOBU_ENT_Ns’;PTMAP起始PTM‘PTMAP_S_PTM’和PTMAP结束PTM‘PTMAP_E_PTM’。
由于所有组成多信道流的子流分别记录在多个HOB内,并为记录的多信道流创建和记录了如图4和5所示构造的导航数据,可以根据写在PGCI中包含的每条PGI和CI中的信息,尤其是,分配在单元类型‘C_TY’中的信道号字段‘C_CH_N’确定包含将要再生的单个数字信道子流的HOB。
当搜索所选择的组合为单个HOB的数字信道的子流时,首先根据各个PTMAP信息‘PTMAPI #i’的PTMAP一般信息PTMAP‘PTMAP_GI’的PTMAP数目‘PTMAP_NS’、各个PTMAP起始地址‘PTMAP_SA #i’以及PTMAP起始和结束PTM‘PTMAP_S_PTM’和‘PTMAP_E_PTM’中写入的信息,确定与选择的数字信道子流关联的PTMAP。然后,搜索所确定的HOB中的子流,并利用PTM增量时间和每个写在所确定的PTMAP中的数据单元的大小再生HOB中的子流。
图6显示了根据本发明为记录在多个HOB中的数字信道子流创建导航数据的第二实施例。
图6中的第二实施例与图3中的第一实施例不同:为多个HOB创建单条PGI。然而,与第一实施例一样,为每个HOB创建用于搜索子流的一对PTMAP和PTMAPI,即,创建与数字信道数目同样多的PTMAP和PTMAPI。
由于在记录多个数字信道的子流后创建的PGI数目方面,第二实施例与第一实施例不同,PGI的结构相对于图4中的有所改变。
在第二实施例中,一条PGI涵盖多个子流,这意味着它与多条CI相关联,每一条CI涵盖一个单独子流。因此,PGI应该伴随字段‘C_Ns’来描述与它关联的CI的数目。
除了‘保护’标志之外,节目类型‘PG_TY’包括‘S/M’标志和3比特的信道数目‘Channel_Ns’,其中,‘S/M’表示相关的PG是包含单信道还是多信道流,信道数目‘Channel_Ns’表示包含在相关的PG内的数字信道数目。
即使在第二实施例中,每一个数字信道的记录子流的所有信息也是包含在导航数据中,这与第一实施例相同。因此,所选择的数字信道的子流(它们被组合成单个HOB)可以在同时记录的多重子流中搜索和再生。
图7显示了根据本发明为记录在多个HOB中的多个数字信道创建导航数据的第三实施例。
图7中的第三实施例与图3的第一实施例不同:分别创建单条PGI和CI。然而,与第一实施例一样,创建用于搜索子流的PTMAPI,即,创建与多信道流中包含的数字信道数目(等于创建的HOB的数目)同样多的PTMAP。
由于在记录多个数字信道的子流后创建的PGI和CI数目方面第三实施例与第一实施例有所不同,图4的导航数据的结构需要小的修改。
在第三个实施例中,每条PGI涵盖多个子流,因此,除了‘保护’标志之外,节目类型‘PG_TY’包括‘S/M’标志和3比特的信道数目‘Channel_Ns’。在第二个实施例中说明了这两个子字段。
在第三实施例中,每条CI也涵盖多个子流,因此,除了图4中的字段外,每条CI包含‘信道数目字段’,并创建和所记录的多信道流(按信道分散在该单个CI引用的多个HOB中)的数字信道数目一样多的、由PTMAP号‘PTMAPN’、单元起始PTM‘C_V_S_PTM’和单元结束PTM‘C_V_E_PTM’组成的信道信息‘CHI’。另外,因为单条CI涵盖包含在记录的多信道流中的所有数字信道,在CI中保留了用于写入数字信道号的附加字段。
由于CI也具有关于记录流的数目的信息,所以在PGI中无需分配用于信道数目的子字段‘Channel_Ns’。另外,因为即使记录多个数字信道的流,也创建单条CI,所以可以从图4中的PGI中除去指示CI数目的字段‘C_Ns’。
甚至在第三个实施例中,与第一个实施例相同,每个数字信道的子流的所有信息都存储在导航数据内。因此,可以在同时记录的多个子流中搜索和再生选定的数字信道的子流(它们被组合成单个HOB)。
上面说明的多信道流记录方法和装置使得在记录介质上记录的多信道流中选择性地搜索和再生每一个子流成为可能,因此,可以提高记录机(例如数字视频记录机)的使用便利性。
在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,对于本领域的技术人员,很显然本发明可以有各种改进和变化。因此,本发明涵盖各种改进和变化,只要这些改进和变化落入所附权利要求及其等同物的范围内。

Claims (13)

1.一种在记录介质上记录多信道的方法,包括如下步骤:
(a)将由属于多个信道的子流组成的多信道流分离为单独的子流,并在记录介质中分配的多个流对象中分别记录所述单独的子流;
(b)为所述多个流对象中记录的多信道流中包含的每个子流创建搜索信息,并在记录介质上记录所创建的搜索信息。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述步骤(b)还为所述的多个流对象创建单个的节目信息和与子流数目同样多的单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的节目信息包括用于写入所述多个信道的数目的字段。
4.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,所述节目信息包括用于写入创建的单元信息的数目的字段。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述步骤(b)还为所述多个流对象创建单个节目信息和单个单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,所述单个的单元信息包括关于在所述步骤(b)中创建的每个搜索信息的信息。
7.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的单元信息包括用于写入所述多信道流中包含的多个信道的数目的字段。
8.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的步骤(b)还为所述多个流对象中的一个所包含的每个子流创建一对节目信息和单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的单元信息包括相应子流的信道号。
10.一种在记录介质上记录多信道的装置,包括:
调谐器(10),用于接收数字广播信号,并根据一RF选择信号将其通频带调谐至所述数字广播信号的至少一个RF信道;和
记录装置,其包括流选择器(11),记录处理器(12),光学拾取器(13),和控制器(14),其中,所述流选择器根据所述控制器提供的信道选择信号,从所述调谐器通过的RF信道的数据流中选择出属于特定数字信道的多个子流,所述记录处理器根据来自控制器的信号,将所选择的子流记录在高密度流对象中,并为每一个记录的子流创建搜索信息,所述光学拾取器将所述记录处理器输出的子流和搜索信息记录在记录介质上,
其中,所述RF选择信号由所述控制器产生。
11.根据权利要求10所述的装置,其特征在于,所述的记录装置还为所述的多个流对象创建单个的节目信息和与子流数目同样多的单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
12.根据权利要求10所述的装置,其特征在于,所述的记录装置还为所述的多个流对象创建单个的节目信息和单个的单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
13.根据权利要求10所述的装置,其特征在于,所述的记录装置还为所述的多个流对象中的一个所包含的每一个子流创建一对节目信息和单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
