通过转移多媒体内容项和内容描述符，把使用每一个多媒体内容项的权利的数据从主站存储装置复制到次站存储装置，而没有删除主站存储装置上的多媒体内容项。
按照本发明的另一方面，一种防止存储在主站大容量存储装置的多媒体内容非法使用的装置，包括：
加密装置---用于加密或部分加密多媒体内容；
标识装置---明确地将内容描述符与多媒体内容项相关，内容描述符指明与多媒体内容项有关的权利和/或解密密钥；
复制装置---通过转移多媒体内容项和内容描述符，把使用每一个多媒体内容项的权利的数据从主站存储装置复制到次站存储装置，而没有在主站装置上删除多媒体内容项。
具体实施方式
随着数字多媒体内容分布格式的到来，包括数字音乐、数字视频或软件，多媒体内容的未授权复制从内容作者或权利拥有者的观点看成为越来越大的问题。需要对内容可达性进行限制，然而，权利的合法拥有者使用这些内容不应该是一件麻烦事。

Claims (13)

对多媒体内容项加密或部分加密；
多媒体内容项明确地与内容描述符相关；
内容描述符指明与多媒体内容项有关的权利；
内容描述符指明与多媒体内容项有关的解密密钥；
通过转移多媒体内容项和内容描述符，把使用每一个多媒体内容项的权利的数据从主站存储装置复制到次站存储装置，而没有删除主站存储装置上的多媒体内容项。
2.按权利要求1所述的方法，其特征是如果多媒体内容项早已存在于次站存储装置上，则只是内容描述符从主站存储装置转移到次站存储装置。
3.按权利要求1或2所述的方法，其特征是与内容描述符具有明确关系的多媒体内容项由专用签字获得，该签字包括在多媒体内容项并被指明在内容描述符中。
4.按权利要求1或2所述的方法，其特征是解密密钥只能够在给定的存储位置和与多媒体播放器应用程序的特殊场合相结合才能够使用多媒体内容项。
