Abstract
制造具有多边形截面的罐的方法及具有多边形截面的罐,该方法包括下列步骤:对筒形本体(10)的圆柱形侧壁进行滚压,形成连续且轴向间隔开的多个圆周肋(20),圆柱形侧壁的各圆周区域一定程度的径向塑性变形而形成;对已形成的罐的筒形本体(10)进行扩张变形形成纵向边缘(12),在该处圆周肋(20)被消除掉;及将罐的底壁和上壁双重卷边到筒形本体(10)上。该方法限定了一种罐,具有任意的多边形截面及位于其侧壁上并处于纵向边缘(12)之间的圆周肋(20)。
Description
本发明涉及一种制造罐的方法,该罐截面为多边形,通常是正方形,具有一个带一纵向侧面焊缝的筒形本体。
已知的具有圆柱筒形本体的罐是通过常规操作而得到的,即切割金属板,将板压延成圆柱筒形并纵向焊接该板以将本体侧向封闭。
为了提高罐本体侧壁的结构强度,经常对罐本体侧壁进行一种操作,通常在一滚压机上,在侧壁上加工出多个圆周加强肋,这些圆周加强肋轴向互相间隔开并向罐本体内部略微凸出。
上述肋是通过使罐本体的圆柱形侧壁变形而获得的,增加了罐在径向上的结构强度,并因此可用较薄的板来制造罐,从而相对降低了最终产品的成本。
然而,上述的建造方案只有应用在圆柱形罐上时才是经济上和工业上可行的,其中肋在圆周上设置,没有中断,且不减弱罐在轴向上的结构。在圆柱形罐中,连续的圆周肋的设置并不降低罐抵抗轴向压力的强度,该轴向压力达到足以损害罐的正常操作的程度,因此通过提供上述加强肋能够补偿金属板厚度的减小。
但是,对于具有多边形截面,更具体地说对于具有正方形截面和连续的弧形纵向边缘的罐的情况来说,为了提高壁抵抗径向力的强度并使金属板厚度相应减小而设置上述连续圆周加强肋,并没有证明是方便的,因为上述肋以一种不可接受的方式削弱了罐的纵向边缘,从而使其抵抗轴向压力的强度大大降低,损害了罐的操作。通过提供连续圆周肋而补偿正方形截面罐的金属板厚度的减小,由于在罐纵向边缘产生的削弱的程度,使这种努力并没有取得令人满意的结果。
但是,圆周肋在罐纵向边缘区域的中断要求通过相当复杂的操作使这些肋只在侧壁部分产生,而这种操作又导致在各肋延伸部的端部区域产生不期望的皱褶。这些不便阻止了具有多边形,通常是正方形截面的罐通过设置圆周加强肋来补偿金属板厚度的减少。
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种用于制造具有多边形,通常是正方形截面的罐的方法,该方法可通过简单的操作,在上述罐的侧壁上提供圆周加强肋,而没有有害的罐纵向边缘的削弱,并可减小形成罐侧壁的金属板的厚度。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种具有多边形截面的罐,该罐的筒形本体上设有圆周肋,该圆周肋在罐的纵向边缘中断。
用于制造具有多边形截面的罐的方法包括由一金属板形成一筒形本体的初始步骤,该筒形本体具有一个带一纵向焊缝的圆柱形侧壁。
根据本发明,制造方法还包括下列步骤:
-对筒形本体的圆柱形侧壁进行滚压(milling),以在上述壁上设置多个圆周肋,这些圆周肋是连续的,且彼此轴向间隔开,由筒形本体圆柱形侧壁的各圆周区域一定程度的径向塑性变形而形成;
-将罐的筒形本体扩张成所需的多边形截面,使其侧壁变形以形成纵向边缘,在纵向边缘区域圆周肋被消除;以及
将罐的底壁和上壁双重卷边到具有多边形截面的筒形本体上。
根据该新方法,用于形成罐本体的步骤很简单,不需要复杂的程序,且与一般使用的相同,直到对罐的筒形本体进行侧面封闭这一点为止。从这一点开始,用于形成具有多边形截面的罐的步骤与已知的不同。然后在筒形本体上设置连续的圆周肋,这些肋在将筒形本体从初始的圆柱形状向所需的多边形圆筒形状扩张的过程中在罐的纵向边缘被消除掉。
为了形成肋,侧壁变形程度的选定是为了保证在将筒形本体扩张到多边形形状之后,肋在罐的纵向边缘区域实际上被消除,保持了由上述纵向边缘确定的柱体的结构完整性,而上述肋仍沿筒形本体的各侧壁部分存在,该筒形本体现在已经是多边形,提高了这些侧壁部分的强度,并使金属板的厚度有一实质上的减小,而不会损害罐的结构。
下面将参照附图对本发明进行描述,其中:
图1表示本发明中具有正方形截面并设有圆周肋的罐的部分剖去的透视图;
图2是图1中罐的侧壁部分放大的局部纵向剖视图,表示了肋的一种可能的剖面;
图3是图1中罐的纵向边缘部分放大的局部纵向剖视图,表示在上述边缘区域圆周肋的相反的变形;
图4是图1中罐沿其侧壁部分的肋延伸部所取的放大的剖视图,示出在纵向边缘部分肋的轮廓的变化。
如图1所示,本发明供制造具有多边形截面的罐,通常是具有正方形截面的9升罐时使用。
本方法需要已知的形成圆筒形本体的步骤,如切割预定厚度的金属板,计算出的尺寸应使金属板被压延后能够形成圆柱筒形本体10,该圆柱筒形本体10的周长基本上等于要制作的罐的多边形截面的周长。筒形本体10的侧向密封通常是通过相互纵向焊接压延的金属板的端部边缘,形成一纵向焊缝而获得的。
根据此处建议的方法,仍处于被压延的圆柱形状的筒形本体10,在滚压机(milling machine)(未示出)上被滚压成任何满足要求的公知的结构,使其圆柱形侧壁在圆周上和径向上向内变形,如图1,2和图4所示,从而提供多个圆周肋20,这些圆周肋20沿罐的直径是连续的,且径向地伸向罐内。
选定的筒形本体10侧壁的变形程度应能够提高侧壁在径向的结构强度,并将金属板的厚度最多降低约15%。
为使肋20不削弱罐的纵向边缘12,在将筒形本体10用适当设备(未示出)扩张到所需多边形截面形状的步骤中,肋20在纵向边缘的这些区域被消除掉。在扩张筒形本体10的步骤中,为形成弧形纵向边缘12而加在筒形本体10上的径向力,足够以反向的方式在该区域使肋20变形,实际上消除了上述肋对由上述纵向边缘12形成的立柱的结构上的影响。
这样可以只在侧壁中间部分设置纵向肋20,而使在边缘区域的侧壁外形保持不变。
当筒形本体10的扩张完成后,进行下述步骤:将罐的底壁和上壁双重卷边到具有多边形截面的筒形本体10上。
通过这种新方法,可以获得具有多边形截面的罐,金属板的厚度相对减小,并通过圆周肋得到结构上的加强,该圆周肋设置在与罐轴线横切的平面上,通过筒形本体侧壁的径向变形而获得,为保持上述边缘在轴向上的结构完整性,在罐的纵向边缘区域圆周肋被消除掉。
在所示的实施例中,圆周肋20具有一弧形V字截面。但是,应理解,在不忽视所需的径向加强功能的前提下,可以对这种基本形状进行某种改变。
Claims (2)
1.一种制造具有多边形截面的罐的方法,包括由一金属板形成一筒形本体(10)的初始步骤,该筒形本体(10)具有一个带纵向焊缝(11)的圆柱形侧壁,其特征在于,它还包括下列步骤:
对筒形本体(10)的圆柱形侧壁进行滚压,以在上述壁上设置多个圆周肋(20),该圆周肋(20)是连续的,且彼此轴向间隔开,由筒形本体(10)圆柱形侧壁的各圆周区域一定程度的径向塑性变形而形成;
将罐的筒形本体(10)扩张成所需的多边形截面,使其侧壁变形以形成纵向边缘(12),在纵向边缘(12)区域圆周肋(20)被消除掉;及
将罐的底壁和上壁双重卷边到具有多边形截面的筒形本体上。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述对圆柱形侧壁进行滚压以形成圆周肋(20)的步骤是从所述罐的外部向内部完成的。
