Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of mosquito repellents, in particular to a mosquito repellent product containing menthanediol and a preparation method and an application method thereof.
Background
Mosquitoes are one of the main vector pests and have the risk of transmitting malaria, epidemic encephalitis, dengue fever, yellow fever and other diseases. In daily life, application of a repellent is one of the common methods for preventing mosquito bites, and the repellent can be classified into a chemically synthesized repellent and a plant-derived repellent.
The repellent is a chemical substance capable of volatilizing special odor, and can prevent insects from being close after being smelled so as to achieve the repellent effect. The repellent has no insecticidal effect, and can prevent the population in field activity from being bitten and attacked by insects within a certain period of time. The most widely used chemical repellents at present are deet, mosquito repellent ester, pacific et al. The synthetic repellent has the advantages of good effect, long mosquito repelling time and the like, and is favored by people. However, the mosquito prevention and control agent also brings people's attention to the toxic and side effects of the mosquito prevention and control agent on human bodies. The DEET of the mosquito repellent is continuously reported in recent years to have side effects on human bodies and certain harm to the environment. The French research shows that DEET has an inhibitory effect on the activity of mammalian CNS acetylcholinesterase. In the actual use of the DEET, the problems of excessive absorption of skin and the like exist, in addition, the symptoms of urticaria syndrome, anaphylactic reaction, heartbeat reduction and the like of children have a dense and indispensible relationship with the excessive use of the DEET, and the report shows that the DEET has enhanced toxicity and has a certain threat to the life health of human beings when being mixed with the carbamate pesticide for use. With the increasing interest of people in health and environmental protection, especially, the sanitary insecticide is used in the living and living environment of people, and has direct contact with human bodies, so the requirements on the safety of the sanitary insecticide are higher and stricter.
As can be seen, research and development of new safe, natural mosquito repellents has become urgent, and plant-derived repellent, menthanediol, extracted from natural eucalyptus oil is receiving increasing attention from researchers.

Table 3 method of preparing mosquito repellent products containing menthanediol:
1) Putting the menthanediol and the alcohol into a clean container according to the mass ratio, completely dissolving the menthanediol and the alcohol by water bath at 50 ℃, and uniformly stirring the materials;
2) Adding emulsifier, humectant, antiseptic, surfactant, stabilizer, flavoring agent decanol, antioxidant, bisabolol, salicylic acid, menthol, citronella essential oil, and Eucalyptus citriodora oil into quantitative ionized water;
3) The solution of 1) was added to 2) and the solution was stirred to milky.
Among them, the role of the menthanediol: the menthanediol has insect repellent property, and the biting probability of mosquitoes can be greatly reduced by coating; the combination of the menthanediol and other insect repellents has a synergistic effect, and can greatly increase the insect repellent efficiency.
Compared with the traditional mosquito repellent product, namely the deet, the technology has the following advantages: firstly, the plant-derived repellent has better safety and environmental protection, small toxic and side effects on human bodies and fresh smell; secondly, the insect repellent mechanism is unique, and the insects are not easy to generate drug resistance; thirdly, the corrosion to plastics and leather does not exist.
Aedes aegypti and aedes albopictus belong to the order of the sheath diptera and are important sanitary pests for transmitting diseases, the average protection time provided by the menthanediol with the concentration of more than 10% exceeds 4 hours, and the higher the content of the menthanediol in the repellent is, the longer the protection time can be provided.
Embodiment two:
examples: the indoor efficacy effect experiment is carried out on the menthanediol product of our company and the similar mosquito repellent product on the market, and the repellent effect is tested by referring to the national standard of the people's republic of China, namely the indoor efficacy evaluation/repellent GB/T13917.9-2-9 of pesticide registration sanitary pesticide.
Under laboratory conditions (laboratory room 4m x 3m, temperature 26 ℃ ± 1 ℃ and humidity 65% ± 5%), the test was performed in a mosquito cage (30 cm x 25 cm) containing 100 aedes albopictus 3 days after eclosion, 4 volunteers (two men and two women) were washed clean with their hands and dried, and were put on medical latex gloves with a 4cm x 4cm notch cut in the back of their hands, after which their hands were put in the mosquito cage for 2min to test the aggressiveness of mosquitoes (stop number was 20 or more, as acceptable). In the experiment, one hand is used as a blank control, and the other hand is directly sprayed with the first, second, third and two common mosquito repellent products A and B in the market at the exposed part of the back of the hand, wherein the dosage is 3mg/cm 2 . After natural air drying, putting the hands into a mosquito cage for 2min for testing, and testing once every 1h, wherein the test is continued until the first mosquito is observed to stop or try to bite, and the test is regarded as complete protection failure. Experiments were repeated 3 times, and the results of the experiments were averaged for each experiment. The measured results are shown in Table 4:
TABLE 4 effective protection time of different repellent spray on mosquitoes
Grouping | Repeat 1 | Repeat 2 | Repeat 3 | Average value (h) |
First match of | 1.3 | 1.2 | 1.5 | 1.33 |
Second proportion | 4.0 | 4.3 | 4.5 | 4.26 |
Three proportions | 6.3 | 6.5 | 6.1 | 6.3 |
Product A | 4.2 | 4.4 | 4.1 | 4.23 |
Product B | 4.2 | 4.5 | 4.5 | 4.4 |
The final result refers to the national standard of the people's republic of China, namely, the indoor pesticide effect evaluation/repellent GB/T13917.9-2-9 evaluation of pesticides for registering sanitary pesticides, and the pesticide effect evaluation is carried out according to the effective protection time (h) of the repellent to the testers, wherein the pesticide effect result is divided into A, B two stages, and unqualified products are obtained when the B-stage standard is not met (the A-stage effective protection time is more than or equal to 6.0h, and the B-stage effective protection time is more than or equal to 4.0 h.)
The proportion of the three is more than or equal to 6.0h, which is a class A product; the ratio of the second to the third is more than or equal to 6.0h and more than or equal to 4.0h, and the product is the B-class product; the first proportion is less than or equal to 4.0, and is an unqualified product, so the second proportion and the third proportion are recommended.
And the third proportion is more excellent in insect repellent effect and long in lasting effect compared with the repellent in the market.
The above description is only of the preferred embodiments of the present invention; the scope of the invention is not limited in this respect. Any person skilled in the art, within the technical scope of the present disclosure, may apply to the present invention, and the technical solution and the improvement thereof are all covered by the protection scope of the present invention.
