Cang Zhu enters spleen, stomach and liver meridians. Dry dampness, invigorate spleen, expel wind, dispel cold, improve eyesight. Rhizoma atractylodis can protect gastric mucosa, regulate gastrointestinal motility and secretion, and has remarkable treatment effect on spleen deficiency animals. It also has effects in protecting liver, promoting bile secretion and excretion, and inhibiting Escherichia coli, bacillus dysenteriae, typhoid bacillus, staphylococcus aureus and various viruses. In addition, the rhizoma Atractylodis contains vitamin D, which can promote bone to absorb calcium.
Gynostemma pentaphylla enters lung, spleen and kidney meridians. Replenishing qi to invigorate the spleen, resolving phlegm to arrest cough, clearing away heat and toxic materials. Has effects in invigorating stomach, relieving inflammation, inhibiting bacteria, killing bacteria, supplementing nutrients, enhancing immunity, resisting stress, promoting growth, and improving quality of livestock products.
Curcuma rhizome enters spleen and liver meridians. Break blood and promote qi circulation, dissipate nodulation and relieve pain. Can be used for treating qi stagnation, blood stasis, chest pain, abdominal pain, traumatic injury, swelling and pain, and rheumatalgia. The main active ingredient of the curcumin is curcumin, which can repair damaged liver cells and increase secretion of bile, and has the functions of diminishing inflammation and resisting oxidation.
Anise enters liver, kidney, spleen and stomach meridians. Warm yang, dispel cold, regulate qi. For vomiting due to middle energizer and cold, colic due to cold hernia and abdominal pain, lumbago due to kidney deficiency. The star anise and the extract thereof have the functions of preserving, expelling parasites, resisting bacteria, resisting oxidation, improving immunity and resisting viruses. Has effects of promoting growth, enhancing immunity, resisting oxidation, and improving meat quality for livestock and fowl.
Semen Torreyae, enter lung, stomach and large intestine meridians to kill parasites and remove food retention, moisten lung to arrest cough, moisten dryness and relax bowels. Semen Torreyae can promote appetite and digestion, and the contained fatty oil can help the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, improve gastrointestinal function, replenish qi and invigorate spleen, facilitate the discharge of toxins in vivo and improve immunity.
Dang Shen enters spleen and lung meridians. Tonify middle energizer and qi, strengthen spleen and lung. Can be used for treating weakness of spleen and stomach, anorexia, diarrhea, cough and asthma due to lung deficiency, tiredness, weakness, and qi deficiency. The radix codonopsis can regulate gastrointestinal motility function, resist ulcer, enhance organism immunity, enhance hematopoiesis, resist stress, etc.
Huang Qi enters lung and spleen meridians.
