Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及润滑油组合物。
背景技术
为了改善汽车部件的燃料效率,当驱动汽车时,必须防止发动机中由于摩擦导致的能量损失。换句话讲,使用润滑油组合物以降低滑动部件的摩擦系数对改善燃油效率是有效的。
JP2008179738公开了此类润滑油组合物,该润滑油组合物包含基础油、含氧有机化合物、金刚石纳米颗粒和用于金刚石纳米颗粒的分散剂。
JP2008179738中的润滑油组合物可显著降低摩擦系数,但需要甚至更高的润滑性以满足日益增长的节能需求。
为了解决该问题,本发明的目的是提供具有优异润滑性的润滑油组合物。
发明内容
本发明人发现,可通过将特定的颗粒共混到润滑油组合物中来获得极高的润滑性,并且本发明是该发现的产物。
本发明是一种润滑油组合物,该润滑油组合物包含:基础油;和涂覆颗粒,该涂覆颗粒由纳米颗粒和涂覆所述纳米颗粒的至少一部分表面的膦酸制成。纳米颗粒可以为金属氧化物。膦酸对该涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率可以为10%或更大。
本发明还涉及添加到包含基础油的润滑油组合物中的颗粒,其中该颗粒是含有纳米颗粒和涂覆纳米颗粒表面的膦酸的涂覆颗粒。
具体实施方式
本发明能够提供具有优异润滑性的润滑油组合物。
下文描述润滑油组合物的组成、物理特性/性质、制备方法和应用,但本发明不限于这些。
该润滑油组合物包含基础油和涂覆颗粒。润滑油组合物还可包含其它组分。
基础油没有特别限制,其可基于如润滑油组合物的应用的因素进行改变。可使用的基础油的示例包括矿物油、合成油、动物油和植物油,以及通常用于润滑油组合物中的这些基础油的混合物。具体示例包括属于API(美国石油学会)基础油类别的1类、2类、3类和4类的基础油。可使用一种或多种类型的基础油。
1类基础油包括通过对从原油的常压蒸馏获得的润滑油馏分进行的精炼方法(诸如溶剂精炼、加氢精炼和脱蜡)的适当组合而获得的链烷烃矿物油。2类基础油包括通过对从原油的常压蒸馏获得的润滑油馏分进行的精炼方法(诸如加氢精炼和脱蜡)的适当组合而获得的链烷烃矿物油。使用例如Gulf油加氢精炼方法精炼的2类基础油具有小于10ppm的总硫含量和5%或更低的芳族化合物含量。在本发明中优选使用这些基础油。3类基础油和2类基础油包括通过对从原油的常压蒸馏获得的润滑油馏分进行高度加氢精炼而制备的链烷烃矿物油,使用Isodewax工艺精炼的基础油,所述Isodewax方法将通过脱蜡工艺制备的蜡脱蜡并用异链烷烃取代,和使用Mobil Oil蜡异构化工艺精炼的基础油。在本发明中也优选使用这些基础油。
合成油的示例包括聚烯烃、二元酸二酯、偏苯三酸三酯、多元醇酯、烷基苯、烷基萘、酯、聚氧亚烷基二醇、聚氧亚烷基二醇酯、聚氧亚烷基二醇醚、聚苯醚、二烷基二苯醚、含氟化合物(全氟聚醚、氟化聚烯烃等)和硅氧烷。聚烯烃包括各种烯烃或它们的氢化物的聚合物。可使用任何聚烯烃,并且示例包括乙烯、丙烯、丁烯和具有五个或更多个碳原子的α-烯烃。在聚烯烃的制备中,可使用一种类型的烯烃或者两种或更多种类型的烯烃的组合。
与由原油精炼的矿物油基础油相比,使用将天然气转化成液体燃料的费托法合成的天然气制油(GTL)具有非常低的硫含量和芳族化合物含量以及非常高的链烷烃比率。因此,它们具有优异的氧化稳定性并且经历极低的蒸发损失。在本发明中也优选使用这些基础油。
基础油在100℃下的运动粘度(100℃运动粘度)优选为1.0mm2/s至10mm2/s,更优选地1.5mm2/s至5.0mm2/s,并且甚至更优选地1.7mm2/s至3.0mm2/s。可通过使用此类基础油(特别是GTL基础油)来改善润滑性。
润滑油组合物中的基础油的量可以为50质量%或更多、60质量%或更多、70质量%或更多、80质量%或更多、90质量%或更多、95质量%或更多、97质量%或更多、或99质量%或更多。
涂覆颗粒是通过用膦酸涂覆纳米颗粒的至少一部分表面而获得的颗粒。换句话讲,涂覆颗粒还可被描述为其中膦酸已被固定到表面上的纳米颗粒。
涂覆颗粒可通过使纳米颗粒与膦酸接触来制备。如果必要的话,可改变纳米颗粒与膦酸彼此接触的时间量和温度。为了更容易地将膦酸固定到纳米颗粒的表面,可预先对纳米颗粒进行表面处理。
涂覆颗粒可以次级颗粒(聚集体)形式存在于组合物中。考虑到涂覆颗粒中的次级颗粒,平均粒度可以例如为5nm至1,500nm、5nm至500nm、20nm至200nm、和50nm至100nm。需注意,涂覆颗粒中的初级颗粒的平均粒度与纳米颗粒的平均粒度相同。
润滑油组合物中的涂覆颗粒的量优选为0.01质量%至5质量%,更优选地0.02质量%至3质量%,并且甚至更优选地0.05质量%至0.5质量%。
当使用通过用膦酸涂覆纳米颗粒的表面而获得的涂覆颗粒时,颗粒变得疏水,并且改善颗粒在基础油中的分散性。当这些颗粒渗入滑动表面中时,可改善润滑性。
对纳米颗粒的材料没有特别限制,其可以是无机的(例如,金属、金属化合物和碳等)或有机的(例如,颜料等)。然而,优选无机材料,并且特别优选金属氧化物。金属氧化物的示例包括氧化镍、氧化钴、氧化锰、氧化铝、氧化钛、氧化铜、氧化铁、氧化锌和氧化硅。特别优选使用氧化铝或氧化钛。可使用一种类型或两种或更多种类型的纳米颗粒。
纳米颗粒的平均粒度优选为1nm至1,000nm,更优选地5nm至500nm,甚至更优选地5nm至100nm,还更优选地10nm至100nm。纳米颗粒的平均粒度可利用动态光散射(DLS)法使用测量装置,在120秒的测量时间内并在60℃的测量温度下测量。(测量原理参考:https://unit.aist.go.jp/rima/nanoscp/coms/nano/dls.html)。
纳米颗粒通常具有球形形状,但也可使用其它形状(例如,板状、棒状、针状、鳞片状、管状、不规则形状等)。
润滑油组合物中的纳米颗粒的量优选为0.01质量%至5质量%,更优选地0.02质量%至3质量%,并且甚至更优选地0.05质量%至0.5质量%。
对于所使用的膦酸类型没有特别限制,只要化合物具有一个或多个(优选地至少一个)由[-P(=O)(OH)2]表示的结构即可。示例包括丁基膦酸、辛基膦酸、癸基膦酸、十二烷基膦酸、十一烷基膦酸、(3-羧丙基)膦酸、3-溴丙烷膦酸、(2-羟乙基)膦酸、(2-苯乙基)苯乙基膦酸、10-羟基癸基膦酸、10-(乙氧基羰基)癸基膦酸、2-膦酸丁烷-1,2,4-三羧酸、1-羟基亚乙基-1,1-二膦酸、氨基三(亚甲基膦酸)和乙二胺四亚甲基膦酸。可使用一种类型的膦酸或两种或更多种类型的膦酸。
膦酸对涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率优选为10%或更多,更优选地15%或更多,并且甚至更优选地17%或更多。另外,表面覆盖率可以为100%、90%或更小、80%或更小、或75%或更小。可通过将涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率设定在该范围内来改善润滑性。涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率可使用对涂覆颗粒的元素分析和被膦酸涂层占据的表面的面积来计算。具体地,其按以下方式计算。
使用ICP-AES测量进行涂覆有有机膦酸的纳米颗粒的元素分析。可将由VarianMedical Systems制造的Varian VISTA-MPX光谱仪用于测量。在执行元素分析之前,将待测量样品在硫酸铵、硫酸和硝酸的混合溶液中以各自处于200℃、250℃、300℃和350℃的阶段加热30分钟。冷却之后,添加盐酸,将溶液在150℃下加热20分钟,并用纯水获得适当体积以完成样品溶液。现在将描述示例,其中纳米颗粒为氧化铝(Al2O3)并且有机膦酸的膦酸基团是单价的。所测量的元素是Al(铝)和P(磷),并且将Y(钇)用作内标。当使用校准曲线法测定每种元素的浓度并由每种元素的原子量计算P与Al的比率x[-]时,改性有机膦酸与氧化铝Al2O3的比率计算为2x[-]。每克氧化铝Al2O3(分子式量:101.96[g/mol])的改性有机膦酸的量计算为2x/101.96[mol]。改性有机膦酸的分子数使用阿伏伽德罗常数NA计算为2NAx/101.96[分子]。假设有机膦酸中的所有醇部分均与颗粒表面反应并固定在三齿上,则被改性有机膦酸所占据的1g氧化铝纳米颗粒的表面的面积使用有机膦酸的改性部分所占据的面积0.24[nm2][参照],计算为(2NAx/101.96)×0.24[nm2]。1g氧化铝纳米颗粒的表面积是使用BET法由气体吸附测量结果计算的比表面积[nm2/g]。可将来自MicrotracBEL公司的BELSORP Mini II用于测量。因此,表面覆盖率计算为{(2NAx/101.96)×0.24}/A×100[%]。

涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率可通过改变纳米颗粒与膦酸之间的接触条件(特别是纳米颗粒与膦酸的混合比率)来调节。
可添加的其它组分包括通常添加到润滑油组合物中的添加剂。这些添加剂的示例包括分散剂、洗涤剂、抗磨剂、金属钝化剂、抗氧化剂和消泡剂。可将一种或多种类型的添加剂用作附加组分。
润滑油组合物优选含有分散剂,还更优选地含有基于胺的分散剂。当包含此类分散剂时,可防止涂覆颗粒的沉淀,并且润滑油组合物表现出高润滑性。基于胺的分散剂的示例包括基于多胺的化合物,诸如聚烯烃多胺琥珀酰亚胺。
润滑油组合物中的其它组分的量可以为在排除基础油和涂覆颗粒之后的剩余部分,并且可以例如为30质量%或更少、20质量%或更少、10质量%或更少、5质量%或更少、3质量%或更少、或1质量%或更少。
当润滑油组合物含有分散剂时,润滑油组合物中的分散剂的量优选为0.1质量%至10质量%,更优选地0.2质量%至5质量%,并且甚至更优选地0.5质量%至3质量%。
润滑油组合物的40℃运动粘度优选为1mm2/s至50mm2/s,更优选地2mm2/s至25mm2/s,并且甚至更优选地4mm2/s至10mm2/s。润滑油组合物的100℃运动粘度优选为0.5mm2/s至10mm2/s,更优选地0.8mm2/s至8mm2/s,并且甚至优选地1mm2/s至5mm2/s。
润滑油组合物的密度优选为0.1g/cm3至2.0g/cm3,更优选地0.5g/cm3至1.5g/cm3,并且甚至更优选地0.7g/cm3至1.1g/cm3。
对用于制备润滑油组合物的方法没有特别限制,该润滑油组合物可通过将基础油、涂覆颗粒、以及如果必要的话其它组分混合在一起来制备。
除了上述方法之外,可用于制备润滑油组合物的方法还包括将基础油、纳米颗粒和膦酸一起共混以使纳米颗粒与基础油中的膦酸接触,在基础油中形成涂覆颗粒,并制备润滑油组合物。
由于其具有优异的润滑性,因此该润滑油组合物可用于其中润滑油组合物进入具有滑动表面的部件之间的应用中,并且优选用于变速器和内燃机中。变速器的示例包括齿轮机构、无级变速器(CVT)、自动变速器(AT)、手动变速器(MT)和双离合器变速器(DCT)。
实施例
本发明现在将使用实施例和比较例更详细地描述,但本发明不限于这些实施例。
材料
基础油-GTL基础油(KV 100℃:1.9mm2/s)
纳米颗粒-球形氧化铝颗粒
平均粒度(初级平均粒度)为30nm至60nm。组合物中的平均粒度列于表中。
膦酸A-十二烷基膦酸(末端烷基膦酸)
膦酸B-10-羟基癸基膦酸(末端醇膦酸)
膦酸C-11-膦酰基-十一烷酸(膦酸末端羧酸)
分散剂-基于胺的分散剂(OLOA 11016,得自Chevron Japan,Ltd.)
涂覆颗粒通过使膦酸和纳米颗粒彼此接触来制备。表1示出用于制备涂覆颗粒的膦酸的类型和涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率。通过改变纳米颗粒和膦酸的混合比率来调节涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率。将未涂覆有膦酸的纳米颗粒用作纳米颗粒D。

将各组分以表2和表3所示的共混量(质量%)混合在一起以获得润滑油组合物。在比较例4中,不包括纳米颗粒,但是包括与固定到纳米颗粒A的膦酸A相同量的膦酸A。在比较例5中,不包括纳米颗粒,但包括的膦酸A量是固定到纳米颗粒A的膦酸A的量的20倍。
各实施例中的润滑油组合物的密度在0.7g/cm3至1.1g/cm3的范围内。各实施例中的润滑油组合物在40℃下的运动粘度为6.0mm2/s,并且在100℃下的运动粘度为2.0mm2/s。
润滑性使用小型牵引机(MTM)测试机在摩擦系数测试中进行评价。
润滑剂使用评估方法测试,该评估方法使用在钢盘上滚动和滑动的钢球。在标准构造中,该球被放置在盘的表面上并且球和盘被独立地驱动以产生滚动/滑动混合接触。球和盘之间的摩擦力使用力传感器测量。使用附加的传感器来测量负载、润滑剂温度和(取决于情况)电接触电阻以及样本之间的相对磨损。
在测试之前,将球和盘浸入润滑剂组合物中并加热至60℃。然后,通过设定滑动/滚动比并改变速度,在以下测试条件下测量摩擦系数。

Claims (4)
1.一种润滑油组合物,所述润滑油组合物包含:基础油;和涂覆颗粒,所述涂覆颗粒由纳米颗粒和涂覆所述纳米颗粒的至少一部分表面的膦酸制成。
2.根据权利要求1所述的润滑油组合物,其中所述纳米颗粒为金属氧化物。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的润滑油组合物,其中膦酸对所述涂覆颗粒的表面覆盖率为10%或更大。
4.添加到包含基础油的润滑油组合物中的颗粒,其中所述颗粒为含有纳米颗粒和涂覆所述纳米颗粒表面的膦酸的涂覆颗粒。
