本申请提供了一种传输参考信号的方法和装置,有利于降低非正交的参考信号之间的干扰,从而提高信道估计性能。该方法包括:发送端确定参考信号所占用的时频资源,该时频资源包括时域上的M个符号和该M个符号中的每个符号在频域上对应的N个子载波,M为大于或等于2的整数,N为大于1的整数;该发送端生成长度为M×N的参考信号序列,并将该参考信号序列映射到上述时频资源上发送;则对应地,接收端在上述时频资源上接收参考信号。
