Liver disease belongs to the category of jaundice, accumulation, hypochondriac pain and abdominal mass in traditional Chinese medicine. The main causes of liver disease are emotional factors, affection of damp-heat or pathogenic toxin, or imbalance of yin and yang in the body caused by improper diet and excessive drinking. In traditional Chinese medicine, the liver belongs to wood, has the property of joyful movement and governs liver to smooth flow of qi. Emotional changes such as emotional discomfort, anger and worry about depression and anger can cause qi stagnation, liver qi stagnation, transverse adverse flow of qi affecting the stomach and spleen dysfunction in transportation. Qi is the commander of blood and blood is the mother of qi, so qi stagnation leads to blood stasis and blood stasis leads to hypochondriac accumulation. In the course of liver disease, the deficiency of spleen and kidney is the intrinsic cause, while diet, emotion, exogenous pathogenic factors are the extrinsic factors, and the combination of the interior and exterior causes liver disease. Spleen deficiency is due to liver-wood-gram earth, or congenital deficiency. For a long time due to spleen deficiency, dysfunction of transportation and transformation may produce qi stagnation, blood stasis, damp-heat or even yin deficiency. Liver and kidney are homologous, liver failure in nourishment, liver yin deficiency, mother-organ qi theft, kidney water recovery deficiency, water failure in wood, liver and kidney deficiency, water dampness failure in distribution, blood stasis and internal stagnation. In the late stage of disease, qi and blood failure, yin and yang impairment, viscera function failure and death. Namely, the deficiency of healthy qi of the body can cause the exogenous dampness-heat and epidemic toxin, and the pathogenic qi invades the liver and gallbladder, which can cause the liver to lose the flow of qi, the liver-wood-earth and the weakness of the spleen and stomach, and the deficiency of the liver and kidney, heat damaging the yin and the nutrient, viscera, qi and blood, and yin and yang.
Therefore, all liver diseases are located in the liver, but the pathogenesis is closely related to the spleen and kidney, and the function of the gallbladder, stomach and kidney can be affected with the progress of the disease. Therefore, according to pathogenesis and etiology of liver diseases, the traditional Chinese medicine takes monarch, minister, assistant and guide as principles and reasonably prepares medicines, and the astragalus, the tuber fleeceflower root, the eclipta alba, the codonopsis pilosula, the salvia miltiorrhiza, the white paeony root and the angelica are taken as monarch medicines, so that the traditional Chinese medicine aims to strengthen the body resistance and consolidate the constitution, tonify qi, invigorate the spleen and nourish the liver and kidney;
rhizoma cyperi, radix curcumae, turmeric, pericarpium citri reticulatae viride, szechwan chinaberry fruit, radix glehniae, radix ophiopogonis, polygonatum odoratum, dendrobium, medlar, radix cyathulae, rhizoma polygonati, rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae, medicated leaven, scorched hawthorn fruit, dried rehmannia root and prepared rhizome of rehmannia are taken as ministerial drugs: wherein, the nutgrass galingale rhizome, the turmeric root-tuber, the green tangerine peel and the szechwan chinaberry fruit are combined to sooth the liver, promote the circulation of qi and relieve pain;
radix Glehniae, radix Ophiopogonis, rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, herba Dendrobii, and radix rehmanniae are combined for invigorating qi and nourishing yin;
fructus Lycii, radix Cyathulae, rhizoma Polygonati, and radix rehmanniae Preparata for strengthening and nourishing liver and kidney;
atractylodis rhizoma, massa Medicata Fermentata, fructus crataegi preparata, and fructus Jujubae for invigorating spleen and regulating stomach;
rhizoma sparganii, curcuma zedoary, turtle shell, oyster shell, safflower and cinnamon are used as adjuvant drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis to prevent pathogenic qi from consuming blood and activating nutrient; the oriental wormwood, the large-leaved gentian, the oriental waterplantain rhizome and the indigowoad root are taken as guiding drugs to clear away heat, promote diuresis, detoxify and promote the liver and gallbladder to remove damp-heat.
The prescription of the invention is reasonable and combined, mainly strengthens the body resistance and nourishes the liver and kidney, protects the liver function, ensures that the medicine for strengthening the body resistance and consolidating the body resistance can not be kept by activating blood and dissolving stasis, has the effects of clearing heat, promoting diuresis and detoxifying, nourishes liver yin, soothes liver and promotes qi circulation, protects the medicine for strengthening the body resistance and consolidating the body resistance and recovers the liver function; the stomach harmonizing medicine is used for reducing gastrointestinal digestion function weakening symptoms caused by gastrointestinal vein Cong Quzhang blood stasis and the like caused by liver cirrhosis, all the medicines have synergistic effect, can be used for treating various stages of hepatitis B, particularly chronic active hepatitis B, and can strengthen vital qi to eliminate pathogenic factors to complement each other, thereby not only treating the existing symptoms, but also playing a role in preventing and treating the liver cirrhosis, and the stomach harmonizing medicine has obvious curative effect on symptoms caused by the hepatitis B and the liver cirrhosis, such as liver function damage, transaminase increase, liver pain, jaundice, splenomegaly, dysfunction of spleen and stomach and the like.
