In the above embodiment, in consideration of the maximum utilization rate of resources, each file cabinet 1 is provided with two rows of racks, and a set of transfer device is arranged between the two racks, so that the racks on the left and right sides are served by the set of transfer device; however, from the perspective of achieving the same basic function, only one row of shelves and one set of transfer device may be provided in the filing cabinet 1, or multiple rows of shelves and multiple sets of transfer devices equal to the number of shelves may be provided, or three or more rows of shelves may be provided, and "hairpin" or "S" shaped rails may be laid between the shelves, so that one transfer platform 5 may pass through the multiple rows of shelves. Meanwhile, when a plurality of rows of shelves are arranged, a temporary storage area is not required to be arranged on each row of shelves. In addition, the number of the access ports 11 may also be smaller than the number of grids of the temporary storage area 32, for example, four grids are still provided in the temporary storage area 32 as in the above embodiment, but only one of the four access ports 11 is originally reserved. In practice, the transport device 2 may not be provided, i.e. the temporary storage drawer 62 and the file box 7 thereon may be directly removed from the access opening 11.
