技术领域
本发明涉及锂离子电池技术领域,具体涉及一种添加剂和含有该添加剂的电解液及锂离子电池。
背景技术
锂离子电池高电压、高能量密度和优异的循环性能让其成为目前最为成功的化学储能电池,特别是近年来电动汽车产业的快速发展让锂离子电池迎来了快速发展的机遇期,在巨大的市场刺激下全球锂离子电池的产能快速扩张。相比于传统的化学储能电池,锂离子电池虽然在能量密度和循环寿命上都占有明显的优势,但是锂离子电池在温度适应性上还有不少的差距。当前,高电压三元材料面临高温存储性能差、循环产气严重的问题。一方面可能是新开发的包覆或掺杂技术不太完善,另一方面即是电解液的匹配问题,常规的电解液在4.4V高电压下是会在电池正极表面氧化分解,特别在高温条件下,会加速电解液的氧化分解,同时促使正极材料的恶化反应。
中国专利CN107112589A公开了一种含四乙烯基硅烷(TVS)的组合电解液,四乙烯基硅烷可以改善的锂离子电池的高温循环特性及高温贮藏特性,但DCR增长较高,很难在市场应用。
日本专利JP4419309B2公开了一种含噻吩的电解液,通过引入噻吩,改善锂离子电池的循环特性,但噻吩存储性能差,自放电大,较难在市场应用。
因此,有必要开发一种添加剂以避免电解液处于高电压下在电池正极表面氧化分解的情形。
发明内容
为解决上述问题,本发明的目的之一在于提供一种适用于锂离子电池电解液的添加剂,该添加剂的加入能够降低正极的表面活性而抑制电解液的氧化分解,达到提高高电压(4.4V)三元锂离子电池的高温存储性能和高温循环性能。
本发明的目的之二是提供一种电解液,其采用上述添加剂,能够提高锂离子电池的高温存储性能和高温循环性能。
本发明的目的之三是提供一种具有良好的高温存储性能和高温循环性能的锂离子电池,该锂离子电池采用上述电解液。
为实现上述目的,本发明第一方面提供了一种添加剂,适用于锂离子电池的电解液中,所述添加剂包括结构式I或结构式II所示的化合物:
在结构式I中,R1-R6各自独立地选自氢、卤素、硅烷、取代或未取代的C1~C12烷基、取代或未取代的C1~C12烯基、取代或未取代的C6~C26芳基;
在结构式II中,R9和R12各自独立地选自氢、卤素、硅烷、取代或未取代的C1~C12烷基、取代或未取代的C1~C12烯基、取代或未取代的C6~C26芳基;R7-R8和R10-R11各自独立地选自硅烷、取代或未取代的C1~C12烷基、取代或未取代的C1~C12烯基、取代或未取代的C6~C26芳基。
与现有技术相比,本发明的添加剂,适用于锂离子电池的电解液中,该添加剂含有硅的环状不饱和双键在电极/电解液界面聚合,形成较薄的界面膜,使得界面阻抗增长较低,且该界面膜具有良好的热稳定性,能够降低正极的表面活性而抑制电解液的氧化分解,对正极起到保护作用,使得锂离子电池的高温存储性能得到明显改善。同时,环内结构中具有Si,可以在电极电解液界面处形成络合物,进一步增强界面膜的韧性,使得锂离子电池的高温循环性能得到明显改善。
作为一较佳技术方案,R7-R8和R10-R11各自独立地选自取代或未取代的C1~C6烷基、取代或未取代的C1~C6烯基。
作为一较佳技术方案,R7-R8和R10-R11各自独立地选自取代或未取代C1~C6不饱和烷基。
作为一较佳技术方案,R7-R8和R10-R11各自独立地选自取代或未取代C1~C6环状饱和或不饱和烷基。
作为一较佳技术方案,硅烷选为三烷基硅基。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述结构式I所示的化合物选自以下化合物中的至少一种,但本申请不限于此。
所述结构式II所示的化合物选自以下化合物中的至少一种,但本申请不限于此。
化合物5(CAS:934563-19-6)。
优选为化合物5,其结构在环状支链含硅,进一步改善锂离子电池的高温循环性能。
本发明的第二方面提供了一种电解液,包括锂盐、非水有机溶剂及上述的添加剂。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述添加剂在该水电解液中的重量百分比为0.1~5%。具体但不限于为0.1%、0.5%、1%、1.5%、2%、2.5%、3%、3.5%、4%、4.5%、5%。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述锂盐的浓度为0.5~1.5M。所述锂盐选自六氟磷酸锂(LiPF6)、高氯酸锂(LiClO4)、四氟硼酸锂(LiBF4)、甲基磺酸锂(LiCH3SO3)、三氟甲基磺酸锂(LiCF3SO3)、双三氟甲基磺酰亚胺锂(LiN(CF3SO2)2)、二草酸硼酸锂(C4BLiO8)、二氟草酸硼酸锂(C2BF2LiO4)、二氟磷酸锂(LiPO2F2)、二氟双草酸磷酸锂(LiDFBP)、双氟磺酰亚胺锂(LiFSI)、双三氟甲基磺酰亚胺锂(LiTFSI)中的至少一种。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述非水有机溶剂为链状碳酸酯类、环状碳酸酯类、羧酸酯类、醚类和杂环化合物中的至少一种。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述非水有机溶剂选自碳酸乙烯酯(EC)、碳酸二甲酯(DMC)、碳酸二乙酯(DEC)、碳酸甲乙酯(EMC)、碳酸丙烯酯(PC)、乙酸丁酯(n-BA)、γ-丁内酯(GBL)、丙酸丙酯(n-PP)、丙酸乙酯(EP)和丁酸乙酯(EB)中的至少一种。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述助剂选自2,2,2-三氟代碳酸甲乙酯、2,2,2-三氟代碳酸二乙酯、2,2,2-三氟代碳酸乙丙酯、碳酸亚乙烯酯(VC)、氟代碳酸乙烯酯(FEC)、双氟代碳酸乙烯酯(DFEC)、焦碳酸二乙酯(DEPC)、1,3-丙烷磺酸内酯(PS)、亚乙烯基碳酸乙烯酯(VEC)、亚硫酸乙烯酯(ES)、硫酸乙烯酯(DTD)、1,2-二氟代碳酸乙烯酯(DFEC),三(三甲基硅烷)磷酸酯(TMSP)、三(三甲基硅烷)亚磷酸酯(TMSPi)、4,4'-联-1,3-二氧戊环-2,2'-二酮(BDC)、3,3-联二硫酸乙烯酯(BDTD)、4,4-联二硫酸乙烯酯、磷酸三烯丙酯(TAP)、磷酸三炔丙酯(TPP)、丁二腈(SN)、己二腈(ADN)、1,3,6-己烷三腈(HTCN)和1,2-双(氰乙氧基)乙烷(DENE)中的至少一种。助剂的加入能够在正极表面形成稳定的钝化膜,阻止电解液在正极表面的氧化分解,抑制过渡金属离子从正极中溶出,提高正极材料结构和界面的稳定性,进而显著提高电池的高温性能和循环性能。
本发明的第三方面提供了一种锂离子电池,包括正极材料、负极材料和上述电解液,所述正极材料为镍钴锰氧化物,且最高充电电压为4.4V。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述镍钴锰氧化物的化学式为LiNixCoyMn(1-x-y)MzO2,其中,0.6≤x<0.9,x+y<1,0≤z<0.08,M为Al、Mg、Zr和Ti中的至少一种。
作为一较佳技术方案,所述负极材料选自人造石墨、天然石墨、钛酸锂、硅碳复合材料和氧化亚硅中的至少一种。
具体实施方式
下面通过具体实施例来进一步说明本发明的目的、技术方案及有益效果,但不构成对本发明的任何限制。实施例中未注明具体条件者,可按照常规条件或制造商建议的条件进行。所用试剂或仪器未注明生产厂商者,均为可通过市售而获得的常规产品。
实施例1
电解液的制备:在充满氮气的手套箱(O2<2ppm,H2O<3ppm)中,将碳酸二甲酯(EC)、碳酸甲乙酯(EMC)和碳酸二乙酯(DEC)的混和物作为有机溶剂,按照质量比1:1:1混合均匀,制得非水有机溶剂,再加入添加剂。将溶液密封打包放置急冻间(-4℃)冷冻2h之后取出,在充满氮气的手套箱(O2<2ppm,H2O<3ppm)中,向混合溶液中缓慢加入锂盐,混合均匀后即制成锂离子电池非水电解液。
实施例2~10和对比例1~4的电解液配方如表1所示,配制电解液的步骤同实施例1。

添加剂噻吩的结构式如下:
以最高充电电压为4.4V掺杂Zr的NCM622(LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2)为正极材料,硅碳负极材料(10wt.%Si)为负极材料,以实施例1~10和对比例1~4的电解液参照下述锂电池制备方法制成锂离子电池,并分别进行DCR测试、常温循环测试、高温循环测试和高温存储性能测试,其测试结果如表2所示。
锂电池制备方法:
1.正极片的制备
将掺杂Zr的NCM622(LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2)2、导电剂SuperP、粘接剂PVDF和碳纳米管(CNT)按质量比97:1:1:1混合均匀制成一定粘度的锂离子电池正极浆料,涂布在集流体用铝箔上,其涂布量为324g/m2,在85℃下烘干后进行冷压;然后进行切边、裁片、分条,分条后在真空条件下85℃烘干4h,焊接极耳,制成满足要求的锂离子电池正极片。
2.负极片的制备
将硅碳负极材料(10wt.%Si)、增稠剂CMC、粘接剂SBR(丁苯橡胶乳液)按质量比95:1.4:1.4:2.2的比例制成浆料,涂布在集流体铜箔上并在85℃下烘干,涂布量为168g/m2;进行切边、裁片、分条,分条后在真空条件下110℃烘干4h,焊接极耳,制成满足要求的锂离子电池负极片。
3.锂离子电池的制备
将根据上述工艺制备的正极片、负极片和隔膜经叠片工艺制作成厚度为4.7mm,宽度为55mm,长度为60mm的锂离子电池,在75℃下真空烘烤10h,注入实施例1-10和对比例1~4的非水电解液。
DCR测试:
在常温(25℃)条件下,对锂离子电池进行一次0.5C/0.5C充电和放电(放电容量记为C0),上限电压为4.4V,然后在0.5C恒流恒压条件下将电池充电至4.4V;将锂离子池放电至50%C0的剩余容量,再搁置30分钟,记录搁置终止电压V0,使用1C电流对锂离子电池进行放电,放电时间设定为30s;记录放电终止电压V1;利用下面公式计算锂离子电池的低温放电率。
DCR=(V1-V0)/(1C-0)*1000单位:mohm
常温循环测试:
在常温(25℃)条件下,对锂离子电池进行一次1.0C/1.0C充电和放电(电池放电容量记录为C0),上限电压为4.4V,然后在常温条件下进行1.0C/1.0C充电和放电500周(电池放电容量记录为C1),利用下面公式计算锂离子电池的容量保持率。
容量保持率=(C1/C0)*100%
高温循环测试:
在过高温(45℃)条件下,对锂离子电池进行一次1.0C/1.0C充电和放电(电池放电容量为C0),上限电压为4.4V,然后在常温条件下进行1.0C/1.0C充电和放电500周(电池放电容量为C1),利用下面公式计算锂离子电池的容量保持率。
容量保持率=(C1/C0)*100%
高温存储测试:
在常温(25℃)条件下,对锂离子电池进行一次0.3C/0.3C充电和放电(电池放电容量记录为C0),上限电压为4.4V;将电池放置于60℃烘箱中搁置15d,取出电池,将电池放置于25℃环境中,进行0.3C放电,放电容量记录为C1;然后对锂离子电池进行一次0.3C/0.3C充电和放电(电池放电容量记录为C2),,利用下面公式计算锂离子电池的容量保持率和容量恢复率。
容量保持率=(C1/C0)*100%
容量恢复率=(C2/C0)*100%
表2试验结果
从表2的结果可知,相对于对比例1~4,实施例1~10中电池的DCR增长较低以及电池的高温循环、高温存储特性明显增加。这是由于采用了本发明的添加剂,该添加剂含有硅的环状不饱和双键在电极/电解液界面聚合,形成较薄的界面膜,使得界面阻抗增长较低,且该界面膜具有良好的热稳定性,能够降低正极的表面活性而抑制电解液的氧化分解,对正极起到保护作用,使得锂离子电池的高温存储性能得到明显改善。同时,环内结构中具有Si,可以在电极电解液界面处形成络合物,进一步增强界面膜的韧性,使得锂离子电池的高温循环性能得到明显改善。
而且,实施例9~10可知,在添加剂的基础上引入助剂,其高温循环性能和高温存储性能更佳。
由对比例2的数据可知,加入四乙烯硅烷(TVS)作为添加剂,虽然也含有Si,但其高温循环性能和高温存储性能增加有限。
由对比例3的数据可知,加入噻吩作为添加剂,自放电较大,高温存储性能效果较差。
由对比例4的数据可知,将噻吩和四乙烯硅烷组合后,其仍不能达到本申请采用结构式I或结构式II所示这一类特殊结构的化合物改善高温循环性能和高温存储性能的效果。
最后应当说明的是,以上实施例仅用以说明本发明的技术方案而非对本发明保护范围的限制,尽管参照较佳实施例对本发明作了详细说明,本领域的普通技术人员应当理解,可以对本发明的技术方案进行修改或者等同替换,而不脱离本发明技术方案的实质和范围。

2.如权利要求1所述的添加剂,其特征在于,R7-R8和R10-R11各自独立地选自取代或未取代的C1~C6烷基、取代或未取代的C1~C6烯基。
4.一种电解液,包括锂盐和非水有机溶剂,其特征在于,还包括如权利要求1~3任一项所述的添加剂。
5.如权利要求4所述的电解液,其特征在于,所述添加剂在该水电解液中的重量百分比为0.1~5%。
6.如权利要求4所述的电解液,其特征在于,所述锂盐选自六氟磷酸锂、高氯酸锂、四氟硼酸锂、甲基磺酸锂、三氟甲基磺酸锂、双三氟甲基磺酰亚胺锂、二草酸硼酸锂、二氟草酸硼酸锂、二氟磷酸锂、二氟双草酸磷酸锂、双氟磺酰亚胺锂、双三氟甲基磺酰亚胺锂中的至少一种。
7.如权利要求4所述的电解液,其特征在于,所述非水有机溶剂为链状碳酸酯类、环状碳酸酯类、羧酸酯类、醚类和杂环化合物中的至少一种。
8.如权利要求4所述的电解液,其特征在于,还包括助剂,所述助剂选自2,2,2-三氟代碳酸甲乙酯、2,2,2-三氟代碳酸二乙酯、2,2,2-三氟代碳酸乙丙酯、碳酸亚乙烯酯、氟代碳酸乙烯酯、双氟代碳酸乙烯酯、焦碳酸二乙酯、1,3-丙烷磺酸内酯、亚乙烯基碳酸乙烯酯、亚硫酸乙烯酯、硫酸乙烯酯、1,2-二氟代碳酸乙烯酯、三(三甲基硅烷)磷酸酯、三(三甲基硅烷)亚磷酸酯、4,4'-联-1,3-二氧戊环-2,2'-二酮、3,3-联二硫酸乙烯酯、4,4-联二硫酸乙烯酯、磷酸三烯丙酯、磷酸三炔丙酯、丁二腈、己二腈、1,3,6-己烷三腈和1,2-双(氰乙氧基)乙烷中的至少一种。
9.一种锂离子电池,包括正极材料、负极材料和电解液,其特征在于,所述电解液为权利要求1~8任一项所述的电解液,所述正极材料为镍钴锰氧化物。
10.如权利要求9所述的锂离子电池,其特征在于,所述镍钴锰氧化物的化学式为LiNixCoyMn(1-x-y)MzO2,其中,0.6≤x<0.9,x+y<1,0≤z<0.08,M为Al、Mg、Zr和Ti中的至少一种。
