Background
The toothpaste is an essential daily article in daily life, people mainly select the toothpaste from adult toothpaste and children toothpaste when purchasing the toothpaste, however, for some special people, people do not have the consciousness of selecting specific toothpaste, and one of the toothpaste is the special toothpaste for pregnant women.
During pregnancy, the levels of estrogen and progestin in pregnant women increase due to endocrine changes, and estrogen can stimulate gum swelling. Due to the influence of estrogen, gestational hormone imbalance, etc., the metabolism of the tissue is affected, thereby changing the response of the gingiva to the bacterial plaque. The gingivitis is a common oral disease of pregnant women, is unfavorable for physical and psychological health of pregnant women, is affected by 30-100% of pregnant women clinically, and is accompanied by redness, swelling, bleeding and halitosis of gum, and teeth are loosened, painful and displaced when serious.
In addition, due to the influence of hormonal changes and the increased availability of calcium during pregnancy, calcium in maternal bones and teeth is liberated into the blood and supplied to the fetus in the form of blood calcium. The pregnant woman has the problem of calcium loss, reduces the acid resistance of the teeth and is easy to have decayed teeth. Therefore, the special toothpaste used for oral health care during pregnancy plays an important role. However, the using effect of the existing toothpaste for pregnant women still cannot well meet the tooth problem of pregnant women.
