Detailed Description

Example embodiments may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the examples set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the concept of example embodiments to those skilled in the art. The described features, structures, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments.
Furthermore, the drawings are merely schematic illustrations of the present disclosure and are not necessarily drawn to scale. The same reference numerals in the drawings denote the same or similar parts, and thus their repetitive description will be omitted. Some of the block diagrams shown in the figures are functional entities and do not necessarily correspond to physically or logically separate entities.
Example 1
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of an organic electroluminescent device according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the present embodiment provides an organic electroluminescent device comprising: anode layer 1, organic luminescent layer 2, electron injection layer 3, cathode layer 5, light extraction layer 6 and first cathode modification layer 4. The organic light-emitting layer 2 is formed on the anode layer 1; the electron injection layer 3 is formed on the side of the organic light emitting layer 2 away from the cathode layer 5; the cathode layer 5 is formed on the side of the electron injection layer 3 away from the organic light emitting layer 2; the light extraction layer 6 is formed on the side of the cathode layer 5 facing away from the electron injection layer 3; the first cathode modification layer 4 is formed between the electron injection layer 3 and the cathode layer 5, and is in direct contact with the cathode layer 5, and the cathode layer 5 is made of silver or magnesium-silver alloy. Experiments show that the film forming effect of the metal Ag is strongly related to materials in direct contact with the metal Ag, and when the surface energy of the materials in contact with the metal Ag is larger, the metal Ag is easier to form a uniform film with low resistance. Therefore, the first cathode modification layer 4 is made of organic materials and/or inorganic semiconductor materials with surface tension greater than 70dyn/cm, such as ZnS and MoO3, wherein the surface tension of ZnS is about 76dyn/cm, and the surface tension of MoO3 is about 74 dyn/cm.
The invention can obviously improve the conductivity and the film forming effect of the cathode, and is beneficial to improving the problems of high cathode impedance, poor film forming effect and the like in large-area display. Wherein, the thickness of the cathode modification layer can be adjusted according to the electrical requirement, and the thickness can be 10 to 10
Figure BDA0002354984440000042
In the meantime. Preferably, the thickness of the cathode modification layer is
Figure BDA0002354984440000041
It should be noted that the organic material may also increase the surface tension thereof according to the design of the molecular material, so that the silver-plated electrode of the OLED device or the silver-plated electrode is smoother and more conductive.
Further, the material of the light extraction layer 6 may be metal organic framework compounds MOFs. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the material of the light extraction layer 6 in the present invention is not limited to MOFs, and other organic materials may be used. In this embodiment, the MOFs may be deposited on the cathode layer 5 by a vapor deposition method. The MOFs are periodic multi-dimensional network structure porous materials formed by combination of metal ions and organic ligands, and have high specific surface area, high porosity and smaller solid density. Therefore, after the light exits from the cathode, the light is scattered to all directions through the MOFs, so that the observed spectrum and brightness from all angles are basically consistent, and the effect of reducing the large-viewing-angle color cast is achieved. Optionally, the organic electroluminescent device is a top emission type organic electroluminescent device. Of course, the invention is not limited to this, and is also applicable to bottom emission type organic electroluminescent devices, and all organic electroluminescent devices adopting the cathode modification layer with this structure to improve the cathode film-forming property belong to the protection scope of this patent.
The anode layer 1 in this embodiment has a good conductivity, a light transmittance in the visible light region, and a high work function as a connection layer of the forward voltage of the organic electroluminescent device. The anode layer 1 is usually made of inorganic metal oxide (e.g. ITO, ZnO, etc.), organic conductive polymer (e.g. PEDOT: PSS, PANI, etc.) or high work function metal material (e.g. au, cu, ag, pt, etc.).
In short, the conductivity and the film forming effect of the cathode can be remarkably improved, and the problems of high cathode impedance, poor film forming effect and the like in large-area display can be favorably solved.
