Detailed Description
Example embodiments will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the exemplary embodiments may be embodied in many forms and should not be construed as limited to the examples set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the concept of the example embodiments to those skilled in the art. The described features, structures, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments.
Furthermore, the drawings are merely schematic illustrations of the present disclosure and are not necessarily drawn to scale. The same reference numerals in the drawings denote the same or similar parts, and thus a repetitive description thereof will be omitted. Some of the block diagrams shown in the figures are functional entities and do not necessarily correspond to physically or logically separate entities.
Example 1
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of an organic electroluminescent device according to an embodiment of the invention. As shown in fig. 1, the present embodiment provides an organic electroluminescent device, which includes: an anode layer 1, an organic light emitting layer 2, an electron injection layer 3, a cathode layer 5, a light extraction layer 6 and a first cathode modification layer 4. The organic light emitting layer 2 is formed on the anode layer 1; the electron injection layer 3 is formed on the side of the organic light emitting layer 2 facing away from the cathode layer 5; the cathode layer 5 is formed on the side of the electron injection layer 3 facing away from the organic light emitting layer 2; the light extraction layer 6 is formed on the side of the cathode layer 5 facing away from the electron injection layer 3; the first cathode modification layer 4 is formed between the electron injection layer 3 and the cathode layer 5 and is in direct contact with the cathode layer 5, and the material of the cathode layer 5 is silver or magnesium-silver alloy. Experiments show that the film forming effect of the metal Ag is strongly related to the material which is in direct contact with the metal Ag, and when the surface energy of the material which is in contact with the metal Ag is larger, the metal Ag is easier to form a uniform film with low resistance. Therefore, the first cathode modification layer 4 is made of an organic material and/or an inorganic semiconductor material with a surface tension of more than 70dyn/cm, such as ZnS and MoO3, wherein the surface tension of ZnS is about 76dyn/cm and the surface tension of MoO3 is about 74dyn/cm.
The invention can obviously improve the conductivity and film forming effect of the cathode, and is beneficial to improving the problems of high cathode impedance, poor film forming effect and the like in large-area display. Wherein, the thickness of the cathode modification layer can be adjusted according to the electrical requirement, and the thickness can be between 10 and 10Between them. Preferably, the thickness of the cathode modification layer is +.>It should be noted that, the organic material may also raise its surface tension according to the design of the molecular material, so that the silver electrode or silver electrode of the OLED device is smoother and has stronger conductivity.
Further, the material of the light extraction layer 6 may be metal organic framework compounds MOFs. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the material of the light extraction layer 6 in the present invention is not limited to MOFs, and other organic materials may be used. In this embodiment, the MOFs may be deposited on the cathode layer 5 by a vapor deposition method. MOFs are periodic, multidimensional, network-structured porous materials formed by the combination of metal ions and organic ligands, exhibiting high specific surface area, high porosity, and relatively small solid densities. Therefore, after light exits from the cathode, the light is scattered to all directions through MOFs, so that the spectrum and the brightness observed from all angles are basically consistent, and the effect of reducing color cast of a large viewing angle is achieved. Optionally, the organic electroluminescent device is a top emission organic electroluminescent device. Of course, the invention is not limited to this, and is equally applicable to bottom emission type organic electroluminescent devices, and all organic electroluminescent devices employing the cathode modification layer of this structure to enhance the cathode film forming performance belong to the protection scope of this patent.
It should be noted that, the anode layer 1 in this embodiment, as a connection layer for forward voltage of the organic electroluminescent device, has better conductivity, light transmittance in the visible light region, and higher work function. The anode layer 1 is typically made of an inorganic metal oxide (e.g., indium Tin Oxide (ITO), zinc oxide (ZnO), etc.), an organic conductive polymer (e.g., poly 3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene/polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT: PSS), polyaniline PANI, etc.), or a high work function metal material (e.g., gold, copper, silver, platinum, etc.).
In short, the conductivity and the film forming effect of the cathode can be obviously improved, and the problems of high cathode impedance, poor film forming effect and the like in large-area display can be favorably improved.
