The preparation method of the latex paint comprises the following steps: step one, putting raw materials into a blending device, wherein the raw materials comprise water and a plurality of auxiliary agents which are mixed; the formula of the raw materials comprises the following components in parts by weight: 200 portions of water and 300 portions of water; 5-10 parts of dispersant; 1-2 parts of a defoaming agent; 50 parts of kaolin; 30-50 parts of titanium dioxide; 400 portions of coarse whiting; step two, stirring the emulsion paint by using a blending device to uniformly mix the emulsion paint; step three, adding the white pulp into a blending device in batches, and stirring the white pulp at a constant speed; regulating the viscosity by using a thickening agent, and blending the color and the depth by using color paste; and step five, adding a defoaming agent and filtering to obtain a finished emulsion paint product. The invention has the advantages of good back air permeability and no volatilization to generate harmful gas.
